We stopped in for "breakfast" after getting off cruise ship. The lumpia is long and delicious! The chicken and rice were classic Filipino staples with. That perfect taste! They were also very friendly!

Chicken and Pork Skewers with a view! Lumpia is somewhere in there too!

Look, after purchasing some legal edibles across the street, you know the munchies were about to kick in. Fortunately Bernadette's was there to satisfy my craving! For the money this food was straight !!!! The chicken and pork skewers were glazed in this delicious sauce and had delicious grill flavor. And the lumpia was even better! Eaten with a view of the harbor, I was in love! Great value for the money! Would eat everyday if o lived there!

We were just here for the library's free wifi, when we saw the food cart. The smell of the barbeque was enticing. The clincher was the lumpia! I have a pork skewer and my husband had the chicken. Oh the food was very good. The homemade lumpia was amazing.. Being from Southern California, were used to good Filipino food, this little food cart did not disappoint. After talking to the people, we found out they are also from SoCal. Finally recommend this hidden little gem.

Filipino & Indonesian food. Fish & Chips, burgers. FREE Wi-Fi. Have a street food cart barbecue location nearby and an indoor restaurant next door to the cart. The Filipino crew on board the Holland America Line cruise recommended this place. The pork inihaw/barbecue skewer was awesome and generously sized and I some of the best dinuguan I've ever had. We bought our food at the cart then went inside to the restaurant and ordered the halo-halo (means "mix mix"cause you have to mix the ingredients) which is a shaved ice dessert with ube (purple yam), corn, coconut, and milk among some of the ingredients. I noticed they had rendang beef on the Indonesian menu but didn't try it. The food cart is open late at night and I'm told the drinkers head there after the leaving the bar.

Really good Filipino Bbq all the way out in Alaska. It was a nice break from the food at the Cruise Ship.

Very good food. Authentic. Really nice owners. Their meat on a stick is the best that I have ever eaten!

Red Dog Saloon is small and packed so we had to wait to enter towards the later hours due to our party size of 7. We didn't eat during our stay but we did have a couple drinks. It was fun to look at all the business cards, patches, hats etc. covering every inch of the walls and ceiling. Floors of sawdust assist with the old-time gold rush days feel. Unfortunately, we only had about 45 minutes to experience Red Dog Saloon before heading back to our ship. Staff was friendly and energetic.

The restaurant was crowded and loud, which I understand can happen in a popular tourist spot, but the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and uninterested in helping customers. What bothered me most was the service from our waitress, Summer. In my experience, she came across as disrespectful and dismissive the entire time we were there. Simple questions about the menu felt like an inconvenience to her, and the attitude we received made the whole meal uncomfortable. We were rushed while ordering, had long waits for drinks and food, and when we tried to politely ask about the delay, the response felt rude instead of helpful. The food itself was average at best and definitely not worth the prices. Some items arrived lukewarm, and parts of our order were incorrect. By the time everything was fixed, the rest of the table had already finished eating. The atmosphere may appeal to tourists looking for the "old saloon" vibe, but customer service should still matter no matter how busy a place is. Overall, this was one of the least enjoyable dining experiences I've had in Alaska. Between the poor service, long waits, and disrespectful attitude we experienced from Summer, I wouldn't choose to come back or recommend it to others. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future because the location and concept have a lot of potential.
