This corner stand was a block from where we were staying and every time we walked by we were enticed by the great aromas wafting onto the street. Finally one evening we decided to stop and order and bring it back to the apartment we were renting for an early dinner. We both got the mix (chicken and lamb) - one was on what was more of a tortilla and the other sort of a pita/sandwich. Even though they were basically the same I liked the pita format better. In the end I wondered if I would have like just a lamb version versus a mix. Nonetheless it was super tasty and a good value. Actually some onion would have made it better. This is a MUST if you are visiting Vienna. Stopped in at around 2pm on a Friday for a late lunch. There were 10 or so people standing around eating doner/ordering (everyone seemed like a local resident). Note: there are no seats, just 2 tables to stand at but most people just stood and ate around the food stand. The servers spoke minimal english but that did not matter at all. I ordered a Chicken döner with the spicy sauce and it was DELICIOUS. Not really spicy at all, the chicken was juicy and flavorful. I could have eaten my main meal here every day while in Vienna. It was the best tasting AND the best deal I found while there. My hotel was on the other side of the river but my boyfriend and I made the trek out here twice. They truly serve the best Döner Kebab in Vienna, and the price is extremely reasonable. I would kill to eat one right now. The pita was fluffy, the veggies were fresh, kebab was very flavorful, and the sauces were to die for. Berliner Döner is just a wonderful food stand in Vienna's Neubau. It is situated directly on a corner and you can tell which corner it is from a distance because it is the one with all the people on it. Yes this is a popular place!! The Döner here are huge and delicious as well as very inexpensive (a little over 3 Euro). You can have your sandwich spicy or non-spicy but be aware that spicy is not very spicy. All the people who work here are very pleasant to deal with and do their best to keep the lines moving. This is totally the way a corner food stand should be! read more

There is no other kebap like this one. Seriously. I assume it has to do with different sauces they use, but I think also the meat is better than anywhere else. For salad you get different vegetables and not just the usually tomatoe-lettuce-onion mix. I also had a box of fries and they were good and crispy - and the portion is huge. These guys are so good at what they are doing! Keep in mind that there are many people out there who love their kebap as much as I do, so you usually need to wait a bit. But it's worth it and I don't mind - for me that is a sign of good quality! read more

This is an unassuming spot - a complete dive - which is making some of the most delicious döners I have ever tasted. Best döner ever! After a long train ride, a friend and I were looking for cheap food that was still open at 22.00. We hit the jackpot. Home baked pita bread, newly grilled chicken, fresh veggies and fantastic sauce made it the best Döner I've ever eaten, and I've eaten quite a lot.
