Grade Card: (5 = top score...1= lots of room for improvement) Location - 5 Parking - not applicable on my visit Proximity to Public Transportation: 5 Facility and Ambiance - 3 Service - 5 Quality of Food - 5 Originality and Appeal - 4 Prices - 4 Value (quality ÷ cost) - 4 I thought this Greek restaurant was a very good option for dinner. I came here based on the Yelp listing following my visit to Schloss Belvedere on a Saturday evening. It was not too busy yet when I walked in at about 7 PM so I was seated fairly quickly. It had been a while since I was asked whether I wanted smoking or non-smoking in a restaurant and that probably would be my only negative comment about this place. Even though the two sections were well separated physically, if they are in the same building, they are never really completely separated (funny thing about gas phase phenomena). While my wife would have been unable to stay under the circumstances had she been with me because of her extreme sensitivity to such things, it was quite tolerable for me. The decor was pleasant and the seating was comfortable. The tables were not right on top of each other. My waiter attended to me right away and did a very good job looking after me during my visit. A free shot of ouzzo was brought to me as soon as I sat down. While I only drank a couple of sips, it was a nice touch as a welcome. The menu featured several tempting options. I chose the combo calamari and gyro platter which included a salad and vegetables. It was very tasty and the portion was more than enough. I had a Greek Coffee to finish, which was done very nicely as it topped off my meal perfectly. My final bill was €21.30. This included food and drinks (glass of wine, sparkling water and a coffee). I thought this was a reasonable deal and a fair value. If I am in the position to consider having dinner in this neighborhood again, I would definitely come back here if I were in the mood for Mediterranean fare. I was generally happy with my experience.

This is the best Greek food I have ever had in the world (literally the world, yes I've eaten in Greece too). This is the most authentic and well made Greek cuisine you can find, especially in Vienna. The prices are unbeatable for the quantity and quality of food and the staff is excellent! I absolutely love To Ellinikon.

The grilled lamb with sour pea is quite good. Tried the Greek coffee, strong and muddy!! The salmon steak came with green salad, garlic potatoes and rice. If you have great appetite I'm sure the portion fits the starving stomach. For the dessert goes with classic, i.e. vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate. Order one would be enough for 2. It's delicious!! This Greek restaurant also provides inside smoking area. Quite a privilege for a smoker in this frozen night. By the way, the space is big. Overall, located across from the U-BAN, again. 5 star.

It is really delicious ..

The chicken, lamb and pork skewers were over cooked and very dry but had a nice flavor. The Gyros were good but also dry.

We were too tired to go far and came across To Ellinikon. Such great luck! Had the very best calamari ever! Great food and service.

Decent good food at very reasonable prices. Ordered the mousaka and mixed grill. Both were tasty and big portions.

They started our meal with a complimentary pair of Ouzo shots, then we dug right in to the tzatziki served with thick-cut hearty bread slices.

The probably most filled greek restaurant in the humble town of Vienna…read more Curious, what this hubbub was all about, I invited my family to this restaurant, where the statues and the interior made me wonder for a glimpse of a moment, how i would feel as a waiter.. trying to dodge all those statues in the walking lane though they carry a lot to the ambiente. A friend of mine, brought me to this glorious idea to always order a lemon sparkly water in every restaurant... to see how they measure quality even in the smallest detail(also it is delicious as hell if done right). It seems like nitpicking, but if the lemon used in the sparkly water is out of a bought bottle and not squeezed out of a lemon... one starts to automatically question other things as well. To my disappointment, the lemon sparkly water was out of a bottle and a lonely lemon slice was swimming in this chemically tasting fluid. Against my better knowledge, I ordered the fishplate called the "portals to hades" for the good price of 17,50.. not that I was expecting the restaurant to be bad in preparing the meals... but that Austria in general does not offer too many high quality fish suppliers. The food was ok... the prawn and calamari had the classic imported quality, with a hint of mealyness and the fish with the side dishes were good... though i expected a filet to be without fishbones. Maybe this is how greek food should taste like... maybe i was biased by that chemical lemon sparkly water... but I was not overwhelmed by that experience. The greek coffee I ordered afterward was quite tasty. And the service was friendly but seemed to be a bit out of concept and chaotic. Looks like I need to take a trip to Greece to get to know their cuisine... until then...

I especially love the warm chocolate cake with a gooey core, which I order everytime I eat there, so please leave some room for the dessert:) Ich besuche dieses Restaurant regelmäßig. Besonders zu empfehlen ist der warme Schokoladekuchen mit flüssigem Kern- also immer Platz für Nachspeise lassen:)

We turned our neighbors on to it as well and now they are holding their son's baptism reception there. Food is very fresh, the meats and the fish are perfectly cooked and the service is friendly and prompt. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Especially if you're a fan of Greek food. We love and highly recommend the leg of lamb, the lamb skewers, the Thalassa Teller fish plate and all the appetizers. You can't go wrong here. Enjoy! UPDATE: We had an amazing wedding reception here. We were so busy with preperations for our small wedding that we had no time to decorate the tables at the restaurant. Dimitris and his crew took what little decorations we had and did an outstanding job of making our tables look first class. We were so touched and thrilled with all the extra effort he did for us, and he did with a humble smile. We love this place.
