I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. May and the entire team at Scripps Ranch. Every…read moreinteraction I've had with the office has been met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Recently, Dr. May personally reached out to offer assistance and support, which truly meant a lot to me. In a healthcare environment where patients can sometimes feel like just another number, Dr. May and his team consistently make me feel heard, valued, and cared for. The entire staff is responsive, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile. Their dedication to their patients does not go unnoticed. What could have been a stressful situation was made so much easier simply because of the support and reassurance I received from everyone involved. I am incredibly grateful to have Dr. May as my physician and highly recommend him and the Scripps Ranch team to anyone looking for a healthcare provider who combines excellent medical care with genuine compassion.

This review is for Dr. Edward J. Hodgkin. I saw Dr. Hodgkin a couple of times last year. For every…read morevisit he had me wait almost an hour in the examination room. I'd sit there like a dummy, twiddling my thumbs. During my last visit, after another hour of waiting, I decided to open the door and step out to look for anyone who could give me an update. When I did, I ran into Dr. Hodgkin. I told him that I went to look for somebody since I was left for an hour in the room, and his response was, why would you do that? No apology for the delay. He then said annoyingly for me to go back into the room so that he could exam me. The quality and attitude of care is lacking. Maybe it depends on the day, but I don't have another hour to throw away to find out.

If you're Filipino, and just want a Filipino doctor, then this may be the doctor for you. Anyone…read moreelse is not really welcome here. If you doubt whether Dr. Razon is a racist, just one visit will confirm my claim. Her skills as a physician don't seem very comprehensive. For instance, I have hypogonadism, which is a fairly common, lifelong condition that occurs in men. Dr Razon is the firsf doctor I have ever seen who had absolutely no idea what hypogonadism is, and likewise what medication to prescribe for it. If that weren't enough, she shuttered her business during this pandemic while still collecting from insurance companies as if she was still seeing patients. That being said, I think it's time for me to order a phd degree from the school she went to so I can start my own pratice. Hey, it worked for her, right? So sorry I cant give zero stars!

She needs to be put out of business and reported to the medical board to have her license revoked…read more I say this wholeheartedly. The doctor wouldn't allow me to see my medical records "because it's the law." I asked, "Which law?" and the woman told me to look it up online. If I'm being diagnosed and treated by a doc, they better damn well know the laws related to their practice. Not only that -- she berated me, saying I wouldn't understand what was in my file because I'm "not a nurse, not a doctor" (she's wasn't being professional whilst addressing this). She created quite the scene, stating all this in a raised, angry tone in front of her sub-par staff (communication lacking) and waiting patients in the small, cramped waiting room. FYI -- her entire office needs new literature and posters (shits been there for 20+ years). I called every medical organization I could immediately following the incident. I was advised and had written a formal request for my records with postal certification/signature required but not long after I received the confirmation my purse was stolen along with the documentation (what luck, right?). In any case, she never replied back (by phone or mail) even though she had signed for receipt of the letter and I still do not have my medical records. Needless to say, I do not trust this woman. I absolutely did not appreciate my own medical history and information being withheld from me. She was unprofessional, ignorant, and demeaning. As a family doctor, I'm appalled that I was ever under her care as a child. She recalled more about my family's dysfunction and relations than my own personal health history. Veronica administers numbing eyedrops with ease. This is the second time Dr. Veena Arun has saved my eyesight. This physician is truly one of a kind, a true angel and a caring individual who is personable and helpful. Dr. Arun made the time today to see me on very short notice as a follow-up recommendation from Urgent Care to see Ophthalmology. Although Dr. Arun wasn't the on-call physician today, she saw me early. I am so grateful to her. Additionally, she alleviated my pain and suffering that I had after my Urgent Care visit. Dr. Arun patiently explained to me how the process works for my path going forward. She is such an exceptional doctor. I am very glad she accepted me today. Dr. Arun prescribed the correct Rx. Dr. Arun correctly diagnosed my condition. I implicitly trust her with one of the most vital organs - our eyes. What a brilliant ophthalmologist she is - and caring, too. Love this doctor. She helped me understand.

This place is busier and busier. It feels more like Kaiser then sharp. I am always waiting longer…read morethan my appointment time, to see my practitioner. And last minute cancellations and no one is covering them. The ADA parking is out of code with the federal and state mandates. So if that is something you need, plan for extra time to find a reasonable parking spot, bring a driver or use a ride share. Parking is atrocious for anyone needing ADA parking. This used to be the premiere health care, or at least second. And they are consistently slipping from that. The level of customer service at the front desk, the amount of time the doctors actually spend with you, makes me wonder if they have switched to a for profit healthcare system. Not horrible. Better than healthcare say in Alabama. But. There is a lot of room for improvement.
