    Yay! I can smile again!!

THE BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE!!! I wanted to write a review to let everyone know how amazing Dr. Ricky Singh and his staff are!! These kind professionals treated me with patience and compassion. I have battled bad teeth my whole life, spending many thousands- yet still with a lifetime of battles ahead of me. It was clear to me I needed full mouth implants. I shopped around and found Dr. Ricky Singh's professional, personable team. I had an incredible experience from start to finish. They held my hand through every step of the way and answered my many questions happily. All the details I needed before, during and after the surgery were completely covered and explained thoroughly. Everyone there is very kind and considerate. I am so thrilled to be able to smile confidently again! I would highly recommend Dr. Singh for full mouth implants!

    Say cheese!!!

And the pandemic didn't keep the staff from being their normal, bright, and friendly selves. I've been going to Dr. Pacleb for over a decade, and I've never felt more at ease when going to a dentist's office. They do great work, never try to sell me on unneeded work, and give me the straight truth when discussing what needs to be done. The staff has always been super helpful, and as I mentioned, bright and friendly. It's not too much to say that I love this place (which is probably the last thing anyone expects to hear about a dentist's office).

Horrible treatment for a senior! This dentist owned office does bad business in my experience. They…read moreowe me the most important appt that I have already paid for. Mostly the problems are with the manager (deception & delayed or no communication) though isn't every owner the one ultimately responsible? If Dr Ellen Pacleb cared about following through on the clinical - administrative end I am sure she would of. They market they will give you a Report of Findings type end visit with the manager who claims clinician experience to do so. Is she an unlicensed technician or dentist of some sort that is able to give findings after assement from what the actually licensed dentist used to give? This being up to half hour (in their office) as your last part of services rendered while establishing care. I never got the complete care promised and even had it scheduled at one point before it was apparent there was no charting notes. Apparently those notes is what usually happens there (of course!) and lends the foundations for the manager to be able to do her last appt with me before treatment with dentist or specialized cleaning all within the office. This could be possibly because I spoke up about it as the office manager decided to attempt to deny access of any future possibilities of that appt just yesterday. Dismissive business folks shouldn't underestimate the ability for a patient to see through the nefarious. Not keeping their word on a critical piece of the post assesment is unethical. Is not that precisely why a person would go to the dentist? To understand clearly what is wrong with our teeth/mouth/gums so we can make an informed consent decision on what to do next? With the clinician and/or overall staff? I even have a family member who was treated haphazardly too. Just last year! They made it so hard for her, also a senior, that she gave up and established elsewhere. In my situation there were not even any chart notes after an extensive visit with the Dr where no information was given to me in real time. Part of the overall office culture in my experience is unprofessionalism. Cutting corners in this business leaves the patient high and dry - unless they advocate like I am in this case. The manager (or Dentist not sure) withheld time sensitive information that I needed a very specialized Dr outside of the office and didn't even have the respect to tell me for a year. And they didn't divulge why (with dx etc) I was recommended this yesterday add on type of care in the first place. Extraordinary poorly managed medical dental office. If you want to be treated like a number and wait a long time for communication that may never come this is your place. They sure are capable it seems in taking your money. There is no cutting corners there. Glad I owe not a penny and have verification of what I just stated above to seek fairness when able.

In fact, the office staff is friendly, and the office itself is clean, and carries an intention of cultivating wellness in our bodies and the environment. This practice is way more holistic than Total Health, which I feel should call itself Total Hustle for a number of reasons, the first if which is that it's not practicing holistic dentistry as it claims. Dr. Lawson's practice is more sincere in their ability to deliver holistic dentistry. They are also fairly straight up about pricing, so when they had to go out of network with my provider, I still stayed with them and am able to plan and manage it. The quality is worth it!

Let me be clear- the new staff is AWESOME! They're kind, professional, and excellent with my son. The dental work is still great, and my MetLife insurance is still being charged, with just a copayment that I get reimbursed by FSA. My 10-year-old autistic son has had positive interactions with every doctor and dental assistant here in the four years we've been coming, so technically, I can't complain. He just got sealants placed on the back of his teeth and once again he had a GREAT EXPERIENCE with the doctor and their assistant. So obviously I will give them Five stars for their stellar work and customer service! I'll keep coming back, but I'm worried about how much longer this location will last. I'm concerned about the staff turnover, which seems to have happened at this location. Faces I grew accustomed to are gone, and it makes me worry. The cozy office vibe is also gone, replaced by what feels like a corporate takeover with questionable decorating taste. They've installed cheap wooden panels with black lines on the walls of the patient rooms and amateurish paint job in the waiting area ‍. Ugh what is up with that!?! The reception counter's been torn down, and the receptionist is now hidden behind a computer screen at the back of the office. The sitting room's been reduced to two chairs, supposedly to keep wait times down, but it feels impersonal. I'm worried about the pressure on the doctors and hygienists to rush through appointments so no one is left standing. I dread the thought of starting over with new doctors and staff. I like having a doctor who knows our medical history and has built a relationship with us. With this corporate vibe, I'm wondering how long this place will last if good people keep leaving.

The actions of everyone involved with that visit exceeded the already high opinion and expectations I've had for this practice. (Probably TMI, but I was returning after a 15-month gap, though the assumption at my last visit was that I'd have more dental work done and another cleaning before the end of 2004. I'd phoned earlier this week and Karissa was able to work some skilled scheduling magic to get me seen much sooner than I'd expected.) Dr. Lim was, as always, pleasant and skilled in his exam, and then excellent at clearly explaining the changes since he'd last seen me and what our options were for proceeding. Then he clearly and transparently answered my questions about the pros and cons of each option, and we agreed on a plan for the future dental work. Then, my teeth were cleaned by dental hygienist Kat (or Cat, shame on. me for not having clarified the spelling of her name, especially since this was the second time she'd worked on my teeth). For 20 years or more, until her retirement, Leslie had been the hygienist at this office who did my cleanings. She was excellent, and I figured she'd be a "hard act to follow," so it was a very pleasant surprise when Kat did my cleaning in 2024 and I realized that her skill level at both dental hygiene and patient interaction is everything one could possibly wish for, which was again the case on July 17. Also, the "desk staff" are always pleasant and helpful, including, of course, Mindy, who answered the phone when I called the next day to get the correct spelling of Karissa's name while neglecting to get the correct spelling of Cat's, and to explain that I was going to ignore the request to do a Google review but would add to my previous Yelp review. Then they charged me $75 for it, at least double what any other practice was charging at the time. I can't wait to try a new dentist that feels like their priority is medical rather than commercial.

I had an old filling which was falling out (not his work) and he put a crown on it - I have had no problems and you can't tell I have it. I also had some slightly exposed root where the gum had receded and he put a protective fix on it. Again, can't tell and no problems. Recently I had gotten poor scores for gum health (you know, those numbers they call out and your shame starts to build??). It had been getting worse and I use an electric toothbrush but I hadn't been flossing well. Dr. Rangchi did a deep gum cleaning and then a follow up a month later. I made sure to start flossing every day (yes, every day, not lying to the dentist for once!). My scores were hugely improved and he used the word "textbook." My insurance (Cigna) required this follow up visit in order to cover both visits, and it was no problem. I was glad I went back because it was good to know the procedure really helped. They also recommended a prescription mouthwash which is awesome (Peridex) and leaves your teeth feeling like you just brushed them for hours afterward. I also wanted to say that the front desk help and the assistants have always been extremely friendly. I am not kept waiting long and they are good about making the follow-up appointments and reminding you. Dr. Rangchi is very knowledgeable and personable. He always asks about how my kids are doing and we chat. It's a nice office. I really enjoy my time at the dentist - as much as one can!

I continue to proclaim that Mr. Rangchi is a conman and a crook. His response to my comment was…read moredevious and misguiding. No dentist only performs an exam and then books you for another visit to do the routine cleaning. Insurances cover preventative care which requires a preventative cleaning. His attempt to prolong my visits was a deliberate attempt at insurance fraud. He "diagnosed" me with periodontal decay midway through my routine cleaning with the dental hygienist and insisted I do a periodontal cleaning. Periodontal cleanings are done over 2-4 visits under anesthesia and performed by the dentist not an assistant, because they are very invasive and painful. This type of cleaning is mostly performed on older adults. As person that has been getting her teeth cleaned by a dentist every 6 months and getting x-rays once a year for 40 years and has never been told anything close to this "diagnosis", this is alarming. I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't read his reviews until after I visited his office. I went to his office because he was a walking distance from my apartment and he was in my insurance network. READ ALL REVIEWS, start with the negative AND detailed ones. The ones with no comments or bubbly short comments are most likely fake. Conmen know how to game the review systems. My explanation of benefits stated he had performed a periodontal cleaning over a period of two visits. As he said in his response, I only visited his office once as a new patient and never visited his office again. I reported him to my insurance for fraud and to the board of dentists of California. However, these systems are built on trust bestowed on the dentists, and the paperwork submitted, whether truthful or not. Only after multiple people report him will they actually investigate him. CHECK YOUR EXPLANATION OF BENEFITS! If his diagnosis seems extreme, get a second opinion. Don't fall for the conman's sense of urgency. If he makes you feel like you have to take care of it right away, it means he doesn't want you to research it and educate yourself or get a second opinion. REPORT INSURANCE FRAUD. I have since visited 2 dentists and had 4 routine preventative exams and cleanings. Not once has another dentists said I have periodontal decay. He clearly lied and committed insurance fraud. Lastly, Mr. Rangchi, thank you for calling me a "very young adult". Looks like my facial care, along with my dental care, are both working very well.

My main gripe though is with their billing and front desk which has terrible follow-up. During one of my early visits to this office, it was recommended that I get night guards made because I was wearing down my retainers quickly. I asked if it was covered by my insurance, to which they stated they would find out and give me a call afterwards to let me know. 3 months pass without any word so I called them up and was informed that they would look into this and get back to me (did they not look into this already at the first request?). I then proceed to not hear anything for another 2 months until I'm close to my next check-up. Only after a second phone call did they quickly tell me it was not covered. So quickly in fact, I question if they even made the proper inquiry with my insurer to actually check. On a separate instance after my last teeth cleaning appointment, I received a bill in the mail for the full amount less than a week later. Completely baffled at the bill and total charge, as my insurance should have covered routine teeth cleaning in full, I call them up only to find out this bill was sent in error. Seems this office is quite backed up administratively and has trouble doing the proper follow-ups and billing procedures.
