Tons of fun. Often fabulous music. Lots of locals, bikers and regular folk who stumbled upon it. At first can seem overwhelming. Big, noisy and a little wild but not tough and/or dangerous. Just wild. Lots of great people to meet and just do people watching. Esp. When the boldest of chicks in the place start dancing on the pole tables (clothed but pretty great dancers some of em). Excellent BBQ and afew pool tables. Seating in and pseudo outside (an open long porch so everyone can check out who's coming in......special events are plentiful, and just to see all those hogs and rockets is amazing! everyone is wanded ensuring no weapons are brought into the establishment in the evening. 1030pm they stopped serving shots and long islands. single shot drinks such as rum and coke and beers only. i do not understand why but this was a huge disappointment. how dangerous is this place in the evenings that everyone is searched prior to entry and shots and long islands are not served from 1030pm on? campground is nice. showers and toilets are clean. read more

Enough of this Biker Bar myth. Yeah, people who ride motorcycles are the maine ingredient, but if you're looking for a rip-roaring, tear down the walls and toss 'em through the plate glass windows bar, you're in the wrong place. Most of the folks in attendance on the Saturday afternoon that we dropped in, were on the wrong side of 30 - hell, make that 45 to 50, and were tooling around on machinery that smelled like 20--grand (20 for low, with a good number probably close to or above 30). All of us were there for one reason: Good eats, fun music, good camaraderie and a chance to ogle some incredible bikes. (Ok, that's four reasons, but why count?). For me, Tuesday eve and Saturday afternoon's the time to go. On Tuesday, the old cars drive in, and everyone stands around admiring both the original product and the incredible restorations that have been applied. Tuesdays then, are burger nights. Can't go wrong. Eight-and-a-half bucks buys you some incredible dish. Delicious meat, fantastic toppings and some nice sides. Yum. Saturdays, around 2 PM, the pig's done and you join the line for your piled-high pig roast dinner - with two sides! Succulent stuff at a hard to believe twelve bucks. What more do you want? Music? You got it. The band starts at 2 PM. Drinks? Pretty much anything you want - tap, bottle or can - handed out by very attentive staff (the guy remembered my name when I walked up for a refill - this while serving 10 people. You've go to love it.). My advice? Head down Arundel way. Get some good grub amongst nice folks and ogle some incredible machinery. read more

TRUE BIKER BAR! I went here in the late evening and found myself instantly having a blast! The rear saloon had old motorcycles, motorcycle memorabilia and plenty of bras hanging from the ceiling. I even noticed a statue of a hog that was frequently mounted by the staff and patrons. OK, yes I mounted the hog :) There was a house band rocking it out, which added to the cool atmosphere. There was plenty of motorcycle parking outside and they even had tents set up outside so you could chill out and get some fresh air if you needed a break from the madness inside. We couldn't order food because the kitchen had closed, but were quickly directed to a hotdog cart just outside. They offered sausage n peppers and hotdogs, all of which complimented the cocktails. I heard they offer a shuttle if you decide to be safe and not drink and drive. Overall, FUN, FUN, FUN. I'll be back. read more

People are very real, relaxed and friendly. Yes, this is a true biker bar, but no gangs. I would say if you'd ever been to Boot Hill Saloon or Hogs Breath--- this place blows them away. Great bar! The staff were super friendly and everyone was having a good time. Warning: TONS of yellow jackets (who were NOT friendly!!) when we went back in early September. Being there for the Patriots game, we took our time with ordering and got no flack, there was no rushing which is totally a-typical for a lot of places. They did have a cover band playing though, which seemed a little weird to me on opening day of the Pat's season, but whatevs. What was really strange though was they streamed the band on the huge-ass outdoor screens! Huh? Ah well. The Sampler included Rings of Fire...I can't say I see where the fire comes in, but they tasted great and had FANTASTIC crunch (and my frequent readers KNOW my feelings on o-rings!) Pulled Pork Sandwich was lackluster. And by lackluster I mean disappointing. The coleslaw was so piled on and wet the bun was soaked; I couldn't even eat as a sandwich. The pork itself was good, but I didn't get much BBQ (that could be due to my style preference though). The Maple Corn Bread actually saved the meal, it's totally worth getting an extra slice or two! read more

I've been in Bentley's 5 or 6 times in the past few years both during bike week and regular events. The atmosphere is what you imagine of an outdoor biker bar , the staff is friendly the music and sights are always great. The bar food is average , but in reality you stop to see the landmark itself, the girls , vendors during bike week and walk to wall bikes. The place looks like a biker bar from the front, but it's actually an amazingly huge place with all sorts of people. There are a ton of outdoor areas to hang out, live bands, you name it. And the fish chowder is to DIE FOR! I figured it would be so-so, but it's better than I've had even at Legal Seafoods. A great cheap and fun time was had. Went here on Friday for lunch. I know it was during bike week and they were dong a lot of advertising in the Laconia area. The place looks like it could be great but they were so under staffed that no one was happy. I went to the bar and ordered a chicken sandwich, I waited over an hour and just gave up. The people next to me had also ordered food before me and by the time I had left they still had not gotten their food. I was here for lunch and after 1.5 hours I went home with out food. Interesting MCs all about, almost impossible to get waited on. We just went there to say we had been mostly. They did have Blue Moon, but you have to go to the right bar to get it in a plastic cup. Probably will not go again. Too crowded to enjoy the displays. read more

HI, I just had to put my 2 cents in (well maybe 3) about Bentley's In Arrundel, Maine. I am a Boston Girl who had heard about Bentley's from co-workers and friends. So, i decided to go there with a friend or two to celebrate (although it was a little while ago) my, well let's just say A MILESTONE BIRTHDAY FOR A WOMAN! :-) We had a BLAST!!! THE PEOPLE WERE REALLY NICE THAT WORK THERE AND EVERYONE WAS SO FRIENDLY! WE HAD A LOT OF LAUGHS AND SOME UNEXPECTED SURPRISES. The people who were there to have a good time too were pretty cool as well (of course there is always one or two people who push the aggresiveness too far)!! But we still had a ball. We had rented the Cabin (which is more like a larger trailer home) on the grounds on the road to the Campground. It was okay, a little more privacy with longer curtains would of been nice and a t.v. ( I know we're near a Campground, but we did think there would be a t.v. in the Cabin). We did try to rent a few hotel rooms but they were all booked, so we ended up with the cabin. Which ended up being fine. The road at night which is only a 2 minute walk from the Bar is very dark, especially for single girls who are from THE BIG CITY!! However one of the awesome employees in the Gift Shop (Nice stuff in there too) lent me her JAGERMEISTER FLASHLIGHT to see the road and where we were walking. My friends and I thought that was totally cool of her to take it right out of her purse and let me borrow it till the next day! And yes, i did return it! Also, helping us ladies back to our Cabin was a guy who was camping at the campground, and he escorted us back to the Cabin (sort of) He was as Buzzed as us if not more! lol lol The drinks are very good and their prices not too bad either. The next morning, when we finally woke up and got our act somewhat together... we went for their Sunday Breakfast Buffet. It was excellent. The woman who was making custom Omelettes at the Omelette bar was so nice and made excellent omelettes. Everything was good even the coffee! Overall, it was a fun experience and if your a single girl or lady there are tons of guys in there...lots of eye candy for women! I didn't meet anyone like JAX FROM SONS OF ANARCHY (TOO BAD)...LOL BUT WE HAD A BLAST AND ARE PLANNING ON GOING BACK IN THE SUMMER FOR ANOTHER GIRLS WEEKEND!! read more

I have been traveling to Bentley's with friends for camping weekends for several years now. We have never had a bad time. Keep in mind that Bentley's is what it is: an adult playground. If you are looking for fine food and refined wait staff, move on - this isn't for you. If, on the other hand, you like bikers, bars and bands you cannot beat Bentley's. Firstly, the campground: Everyone is friendly, the staff makes regular rounds but doesn't hassle anyone. Bathrooms are kept very clean, showers are fine. Camp fire wood is sold on site - a little pricey, but very convenient. The sites are on the small side, but there are plenty with electric and water. Rules say quiet time starts at 11 PM, but no one has given us a problem when we were sitting and talking (noisily) by the camp fire well past 2 AM. Dogs seem to be very welcome - they were everywhere. This is a biker campground - there's even a built in ramp to get bikes on and off trucks if you so desire. There are 3 washers / dryers near the bathroom area. Back to the original caveat: This is an adult campground. If you travel with kids, find another location - you won't be happy here. The saloon: Bentley's is geared toward the biker set, but it seemed like a pretty friendly place - there were plenty of folks who came in cars for a good time and I didn't see a single problem. The bands that we have seen have all been top notch - great for dancing and having a good time. They have pig roasts on Saturdays and lobster dinners on Sundays. Food is decent for what it is - pub grub. Service is pretty reasonable considering that they seem to be crowded all the time. There's plenty of room - if the dance floor gets too crowded for you, you can go outside. There's picnic tables, horseshoes, another bar, etc. There's even a smaller, quieter bar in another room if you'd rather watch the game on TV. There's plenty of security wandering around on busy nights. Oh, and no colors allowed. There's lots of bike parking. They have frequent special events. They were giving away a Harley via raffle the last time we were there (and no entry fee/ raffle charge!) Summation: if you are looking for a good time party with friends, you can't go wrong with Bentley's. read more

Service was horrible last visit. Love Bentley's. Love the ride. But we ordered separate checks at our table. Two of us didn't get our food until everyone else was almost done with their twin lobsters. The lobster salad sandwich had about 2 tblspoon of lobster on it. Ordered onion rings and didn't get them. Waitress refused to comp us anything after waiting 30 minutes after the rest of the table got theirs before our food came out. I want to give 5 stars for the awesome place it is though. But one star to the waitress, 1 for the lobster roll and 5 for the twin lobster. Just get better wait staff. And note to self, just order the twin lobster at least then you get some actual lobster meat for the price. The bartenders are very efficient with the drinks though! read more

Truly an experience that goes beyond words!! We were there Saturday night and loved the whole atmosphere, not as many bikes and definitely more of a bar/club atmosphere in the evenings, but when we came back on Sunday...it was the full motorcycle family experience! Everyone on a bike was welcome, no one was judged, food is typical quick pub food, which is exactly what anyone on a bike is looking for. Drinks are priced decently, water buffet for those that don't drink. Met all kinds of very friendly people that we hope to see again. Little gift shop, marketing anything Bentley's and a shuttle for those who may indulge too much...(they want everyone home safe). I wish that someone thought of this in the area we live...he is a marketing genius! We will definitely be back!! read more

A very chill and friendly biker bar/restaurant/motel in Arundel Maine. Big tv in front bar with darts an pool table. Super friendly bartenders. Cool large back bar with daily specials and bbq/pig roasts. Seemed like a great place to hang for a few beers or even to bring the kids. read more

We took a ride there while riding in Maine. ..stopped for a few drinks and WOW had the best lobster dinner for 2 people. ..definitely will be back the next time we come up. This place is tons of fun for sure! We go to Maine often and stop here frequently. This is NOT a restaurant and the food reflects it. If your looking for service and food beyond a greasy burger or BBQ this place is not for you. The breakfast buffet for $13 is a BUST- do not waste your money on breakfast here. I been coming here for years, and have always had a great time. Awesome bands, great lay out and friendly people. Only real gripes are the food has gone down hill a little bit. And the biggest one being that I stopped in on a Monday for lunch, (being the only customer there) walked to the back yard and had a manger storm out at us because we had a small dog with us. She explained to us that dogs are not allowed, and that's fine. But nothing is posted, and going there for years I have seen, including the day before dogs outside at the back of the building. She rudely said while walking away that people need to show proof that its a service dog. Knowing 2 people with dogs there, and knowing they have never been asked such a question made herself look stupid. So great biker bar, just leave the dogs at home, even if sites say that its dog friendly, because its not. read more

Best biker bar in New England! Food and drinks are inexpensive - not overly fancy but that's not expected at a biker bar. I wouldn't recommend taking children here, but people certainly have. Would not go back. We had heard of this place and thought it was worth a trip to check it out. I would hardly call it a biker bar. Yes there are lots of motorcycles. But it's more of an old farts bar. And there were way too many yuppies there in flip flops and khaki shorts and dress shirts. The band that was playing was not as advertised. They advertised for that night a band that dresses to the hilt and had a great female singer. Well no female singer and the vocals were awful. There must be a noise ordinance there because the music was definitely not loud and lacked any sort of quality and punch. We gave it a try for a while but it was just so lackluster we could not take it anymore. Food? very average for the burgers and fries... seafood awful. The waitstaff was excellent, working hard and being friendly and keeping things straight. That was the only bright spot here. And Bentley must have a huge ego. Mega advertising plastered all over everything, nothing really unique. So they need to increase the quality of their food and their music, more big screen TV's and less of Bentley's name plastered all over everything. Then maybe I will go back read more

If you just want to hang out and drink not bad. Get a shirt or logo glass, good selection. Need a place to stop and stretch after a long ride, not too bad. But if you are looking to eat something other than fresh from the freezer, keep riding. They don't tend business when it comes to the less than impressive menu. Too many rabbit warrens, no organization. And kitchen that can't seem to handle it. And ladies, they really miss the mark on the restrooms. We have gone several times recently because it is easy to get into on the bike, but it has been sadly consistent with dirty ladies rooms with paper products or soap (ick!) and forget finding staff that will help out. The ladies at the bar are too busy showing how the crush cans and the wait staff and food runners have no clue what is going on.
