My husband and I are traveling from Colorado and we came across this place. I knew right away when they gave us a bowl of popcorn as a starter it would be great. Then had spinach pie ( a home favorite) and then topped it off with bread pudding. Staff was friendly service quick! Overall good place to stop. read more

I don't even want to give one star, Arrived at the Auburn store a little after 12 on a Sunday, the place opens at 11:30, all I can say is filthy! Our table was sticky, the waitress came back and said they use windex which probably causes the sticky feel on the poly covered table, I agree use a cleaner for that surface not window cleaner plus it need to have a % of sanitizer to follow dept of health regulations. And after she cleaned it i could scrape the food off the surface. My husband had fish and chips and they were raw, sent them back the waitress said she was sorry and they still billed us. I am surprised the dept of health hasn't shut down this location. I used the ladies room which smelled worse than a port a potty. Never ever again and I will have no problems passing the word about how unclean it was. I can imagine how it is when its busy in there. read more

I was a big fan on Piccadilly Pub. The wings were great, the food was great and I was sad to hear they closed. Then being a resident of Auburn, I saw that Bentley Pub was opening. I was so excited and could not wait until it opened. The excitement did not last. I ended up going there about a month after it opened and I was extremely dissatisfied. They tried to keep the Piccadilly style but the food was awful. I usually got Chicken Parm at the Piccadilly and it was great but now.. it was dried up and seemed like it was microwaved. The sauce was pasty. My wife got the Turkey which she usually got at the Pic. But here it was not the same. It seems like they purchase all there food frozen and then microwave it. So it has been a few months after my first visit and my sister and I were looking for a place to eat. While we were driving down rt. 20 she saw that Bentley Pub was open. So she wanted to try it to just say she tried it. I told her it was not that great but we went anyways. So we hit the place around lunch time. They had a good amount of people and she was excited to finally try this place out. It was Wednesday and they had a bunch of specials. It was Fish Wednesday. So she decided to order the baked haddock and I ordered the bake Sole with seafood stuffing. They were both on the special menu and about a $2 savings on each order. We ending up substituting one of our sides for a salad and an onion soup. They charges us an extra $2.75 each. When our order came in, My sisters dish was awful. The haddock was disgusting. It was so dry and chalky. She also had a baked potato for her other side and it was also dried. My dish was ok. The stuffing was good, But again the sole was dried up and if it was not for the lobster sauce it would have been dried and inedible. So we did tell the waitress about the Haddock that it was dried and gross. She actually looked at it and agreed. So she offered to replace it but by the time she got back and I was almost done with the meal my sister order potato skins. That was another big mistake. I think if i went and bought them from the market and microwaved them they would have been better. So once our bill came they actually took off the haddock dinner but charged us for the potato skins and the extra sides. So in reality it came out to the same price and left the place with a big disappointment. When you are a new place and your food taste like crap, you need to do what you need to do to make the customer happy. I dont think a place like BENTLEY PUB will be in business long because there food is poor quality and they dont care about there customers read more

On a busy Friday evening we were seated with little waiting. Everyone was friendly, but the service was poor. The waitress forgot to bring the salad before the entres and then did so only after being reminded. That was ok because the entre was cold and had to be sent back to re-heat. Later, I discovered we had been charged for beer which was never ordered. The food was not bad, but nothing to rave about. I doubt I'll be returning any time soon... read more

Been here few times already usually for a late lunch with few family members. Although it hasn't changed in style the food is very good. The prices are right. The comment made about bentleys having a limited menu choice was incorrect....there are a lot of choices! Every waitress that we have had has been WONDERFUL! Thanks for the personable service!!!! If I could give no stars I would. The food and the service were both terrible. I ordered steak tips medium rare and had to send them back when they were served well done. The second time around they were medium, and I should have sent them back, but I was with a large group of people and I didn't want to hold them up any longer. Our waitress took a few minutes to warm up, but once she did was amazing! The bartender was EXTREMELY rude and when I asked for the manager to address the problem, I was greeted with rudeness from the manager as well. We will never return to this place and I hope that others do not as well. It is dissapointing to be treated poorly when you go out to dinner. Poor customer service is always a big deterrent for me. read more

I never write reviews, but I've been a couples times now and I just feel entitled to warn others. Great location so I had high hopes for this place, unfortunately the food is subpar at best and the atmosphere is cold. The Bartenders are not friendly and you feel more like an inconvenience to them for sitting down instead of being welcomed as a guest. Highly recommend only to stay away, you'll be doing yourself a favor. read more

went yesterday to try this new place. menu did not really change from Pic. the water was gross. I had hot turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries. Fries were cold and turkey was disgusting lunch meat. stuffing was gross too. I took one bite of sandwich which the menu did not state that it was open face. I left 99% of meal on plate. Waitress never asked how it was when she took my plate away. my boyfriend had lobster roll with sweet potato fries and butternut squash. his food looked disgusting. the squash was grey. the fries were cold and the lobster was very stringy and gross. the waitress was not very pleasant at the end. just threw our check on the table. will NOT be going back ever to this place. Worst food ever. I would not even give this place a one star. read more

We went there at 6:30PM tonight. There was no wait which is unusual for Auburn during dinner time. We waited over 5 minutes for the hostess to seat us and another 10 minutes for our waitress to come take our drink order. She brought this plate that had ritz crackers and this pepper cheese dip. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Whoever made the decision to serve this to people obviously has no pallet and really doesn't know what they are doing. It took 20 minutes to get our appetizer. We got the Sampler just to sample the new pub's food. We asked for ranch dressing instead of blue cheese and it was spoiled where it was quite clear that it had been left out all day, a simple sniff test could had told them that, but instead my wife had to find out the hard way by eating some of it. The chicken tenders were bland and had no seasoning in the batter, the potato skins had uncooked onions on them and something that was a bright pink... still not sure what it was. The mozzarella sticks were good though, the one thing on the plate they just had to take out of a bag and throw in the fryer. Another 15 to 20 minutes for our meal to arrive where they had brownish hard mashed potatoes on them. It took forever for us to get our server's attention that we were done and to finally get the check. We were hoping it was going to be like Piccadilly Pub, just new owners - but we were sadly let down that this is not the case. It's like amateur hour over there. Dine at your own risk. read more

Unfortunately, my family and I decided to try the Bentley Pub since other restaurants were on a 2 hour wait for a party of 7. First red flag, but we were very hungry. We were seated right away in a tight corner booth and waited about 5 minutes for a drink order to be taken. Once the drinks arrived, we placed our dinner order which took just over an hour to arrive. In the meantime, we all sat with empty glasses for 15 minutes and asked another waitress passing by for more drinks. "I can't do that, your waitress has to order your drinks," I was informed. Ok, then can you send her over?!?! Once the food finally arrived, the waitress handed a plate to each of us and said, "these are VERY hot." You don't shove a piping hot plate into a customer's hands, you say "excuse me" to the person you are reaching over and place the HOT plate on the table. By the way, the plates are PLASTIC. I thought they wanted to be better quality than the Piccadilly Pub. Once we were finished, we asked for the bill, paid in cash, and asked for change. The waitress brought it back to the table but instead of giving us $8.72, she only gave us $8. There were other things that went wrong but I just want to spare another family the awful experience that we had last night. Don't waste your money here!! read more
