I called ~8 different places to get a quote and specifically said it's a length alteration for a chiffon bridesmaid dress with two layers. The range of prices I got quoted was $50-80. When I called here, they told me it starts at $19 but can go up to the $40s. With that info, i brought my dress here since it was the best price - even though this place was a bit far from my house. The customer service was excellent, dress was altered within a week, alteration was perfect. However, when I went to pay, the total was $86. I was a bit taken a back since the price was extremely different from what I was quoted. When I brought that up, the girl working was apologetic and let me know she will pass this info off to the owner. Tony called me back the next day to apologize for the misinformation and made it right by refunding me a portion of the cost. I really appreciated his professionalism, honesty, and understanding.

They charged me a really good price on my pants to get the zipper sewn back on. However, they never called me to tell me the pants were done. I understand that this wasn't a high ticket item, but I thought they would treat their customers with low ticket items with the same respect. The pants themselves were in great condition and they did a good job repairing. However, their lack of communication is the reason I'm not giving them a perfect review.

She reached out to me the same day, took the issue seriously, and immediately worked to make it right. They didn't just fix the problem -- they truly went above and beyond. The level of care, communication, and customer service was exceptional. They kept me updated throughout the entire process, made sure I was happy with the outcome, and clearly put a lot of effort into making things right. I'm extremely happy with the final result and even more impressed by how they handled the situation. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but the way a business responds says everything, and The Dirty Hamper exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be trusting them with my clothes again. Thank you so much, Debbie, for your care, professionalism, and amazing customer service.

The employee at the front was kind enough to take it back and said they would see what they could do to fix it. She also told me that if they couldn't repair it to my satisfaction, they would refund the money I had already paid up front. That meant leaving my shirt there for another week. When I returned to pick it up the second time, the owner was there. I calmly explained what I had been told regarding the refund if the repair couldn't be corrected. Instead of listening, he immediately became aggressive and confrontational. I stayed respectful and simply said, "There's no need to get upset. I'm only repeating what I was told. If that's not your policy, that's okay." The fact that he responded that way to a polite customer says a lot about how this business is run. I thanked him, took my shirt, and left. Afterward, I looked up their Yelp page, and their low rating made complete sense. Based on both the poor quality of the repair and the owner's attitude toward customers, I would not recommend this business.

The second dress was orange, and it was obvious that it had not been cleaned at all. In fact, it appeared to have even more stains than before.
