OK this place gets five stars, first of all, I actually was in desperate need looking for a dry cleaner to press, a dress shirt, and this place so they could do it in a couple minutes. They did that a great job, anyway, very friendly and professional. If you find yourself in a hurry, or a need to get a shirt or something done really quick, this is the place to go. Although, I didn't realize I was supposed to only pay cash if it's under $10. They said don't worry about it and I was able to make the payment with my debit card. Another rule should be, if you live in the Montclair area, or nearby, you need to come to Montclair Plaza Cleaners. Seriously, the service here is always top notch. Upon walking into the business, and setting off the doorbell, a kind man or woman from the shop will call out to you, "Hello!" and come rushing to the front counter. They'll smile and ask you to hang all of your clothing on the rack or place it on the counter (if you didn't bring hangars). They'll ring you up and ask you which day/date works best for your pick up then give you your ticket. The BEST part of this cleaner is the price you pay for dry cleaning. No joke, this is the most affordable dry cleaning you can get in the area. I've dropped my suits off in Upland, Ontario, Claremont....none of them have beat this little spot. Once, I paid $20 for one full suit dry cleaning, and I thought this was just the cost of dry cleaning....boy, how wrong I was! Methinks the other place saw the brand of suit and just decided, "Meh, this sucker can afford it". Not here. I'm not proud of this, but it is a fact: I've left my dry cleaning here for over a week, and when I've gone to pick it up (four days beyond my agreed pick up date), my clothes was still there, and it was brought to me with a smile and "thank you" for my business. Been coming here for a while and always sup par, launder my clothes and come back faded well this final time I came was for a sports jacket I bought. Wore it once brought it in received back it with a burnt mark from the iron. Brought it back to ask him if there's anyway to remove that becausr it was done here the owner told me he'd try to. Well when I came back to pick it up I looked to see and it was ruined. Looks like it was scrubbed and fibers just shredded. He wasn't here when I picked up so I came back when he was in and got all defensive that he's an honest man and he didn't do it as to my response was "I'm an honest man also and I wouldn't tell you you did it if it wasn't true " so he yells at one of his workers asking "Did you do this"? Even after the security cam showed I payed the first time she refused to believe I payed even that the evidence was right in her face. I was a new customer for about 6 months. In that time they stained and dis-colored an expensive Bebe dress and lost my husbands work uniforms. They attempted to give me an OLD USED uniform as replacement and insisted it was mine. They promised to fix both issues and after a month only would offer me store credit so they could damage more of my clothing.
