I had recently purchased a 2012 Mini Countryman and was making preparations to get it inspected and registered/tagged when the check engine light came on (this is after about a month of ownership and driving with no problems at all). Driving down route 40 in Edgewood I saw J.C.'s out of the corner of my eye and pulled in. Spoke to John and Renee (seems to be a family run shop situation) and while they had a few cars they were working on at the time, they said they could take a look in about an hour - which I was SO grateful for. They also shared that a number of folks they knew (family and others) who drove Mini Coopers which made me feel even better to have found J.C.'s and they were able to take a look at Lil Blue (my Mini) that afternoon. I left to run a quick errand and on the way back guess what? The check engine light goes off on the way back to J.C.'s. I arrive and ask if they can do the Maryland Inspection (because wow - I saw a sign that in addition to tires and auto repair, they conduct MVA authorized inspections). John said he has time to do one or the other but not both (it was about 3:30pm by this time so I completely understood). I chose the inspection. Due to the pandemic we couldn't wait inside, but there was a snowball stand two stores down so we had a cool one and sat on their outdoor tables (which were under shady trees). While John said the inspection could take up to an hour, he called me about 40 minutes later to say the inspection was done. We walked back over and received our documentation to say Lil Blue completely passed inspection - great news! I appreciate John and Renee of J.C.'s Tire. They were honest, transparent, and relatively flexible when we literally just pulled in from the road without an appointment. Their price was fair (for the inspection and the price quoted for the diagnostic). If I need work done on Lil Blue and I'm in the area, I'd definitely return to J.C.'s Tire.

When I asked what I paid $300 for Corey said for the service he initially told me $125... I'm not a math genius but even if you charged $125 for both sides I should've paid $250. When I went to speak with him he asked me for the convenient store receipt that he gave me (as if that would've showed him anything) because it's not itemized. He then started to get loud & threaten to "get hype" because he kept cutting me off when I tried to explain to him he still overcharged me whether the tires were changed or not. I came across Goodyear, which was barely 0.5 miles away from AAA. I was greeted and welcomed by Felicia Finch, and I quickly got a new tire. I got rewarded by going to Goodyear because I got a free rubber valve stem. (This was due to me damaging its sensor.) I don't think I would have gotten a free tire part elseware. I recommend this store to anyone that wants a good tire service!

I got to my appointment about a half hour early because I was running errands after work, and it didn't make sense to go back home only to turn around and come back out. But they were able to get me in before my scheduled appointment time and they were quick. They even did both headlights for me and only charged on labor for 1 of them. They also told me some other things I should get taken care of, but I didn't have time today so they scheduled me an appointment for this weekend. I came here due to a check engine light problem on my car. Previous service was done at another repair shop since my car had to be towed and the other shop was closer to the place my car died @_@. Since the check engine light still allowed me to drive it, I decided to try Economy this time on my day off. I made an appointment, which is recommended and which you can do online. I dropped my car off when they opened at 8am. I had to wait a while for my husband to pick me up, so I decided to go to the donut shop next door. They don't have a waiting room (the only negative about this place), but they do have two chairs in the corner that you can use. After a few hours I got a call and found out that I had to replace the catalytic converter (ouch...) which they can order and install on Monday. When my husband and I picked up the car, they did us a favor and cut off the small lock that I used to lock the spare tire in the back. It has such rusted shut and hasn't been opened for 10 years @_@. After they cut the lock off, they even offered to fill it with air when we returned on Monday (awesome) since it was flatter than a flat tire. On Monday they worked at replacing the catalytic converter. They did run into a problem and one of the O2 sensors rusted to it and they couldn't remove it. They did try for an hour but it wasn't going to happen. So we also replaced an O2 sensor which they were able to get within the hour. They were able to finish everything by 2pm. They cost for labor was very modest, and cheaper that I've seen in a while. We also used our AAA discount which saved us a bit on the labor cost too. Overall my husband and I will be using Economy in the future!
