I brought my BBS RGRs to Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists in Essex during their Black Friday special for a full repaint along with mounting and balancing new tires. What initially caught my attention was their promised 24 to 48 hour turnaround, which was a lot quicker than I expected for this type of job. When I arrived to pick everything up, the team immediately spotted some issues during their final inspection. One wheel had noticeable overspray, another had a chip, and a third had a few surface imperfections. Mistakes happen, and what mattered to me was how the shop handled it. They were upfront, they owned it, and they took the wheels straight back to be redone without hesitation. I received all three refinished wheels about a week later which honestly aligned more with what I had originally expected for a quality refinish turnaround. The final product looked great and I appreciated that the team prioritized getting the job done correctly rather than rushing it out the door. Overall, I am happy with the work, the value, and the experience. The initial delay ended up being worth it because I would much rather have the job done right once even if it takes longer, instead of a quick turnaround followed by do overs. The team's honesty and willingness to make things right go a long way, and I would return for future wheel work.

I called the same day and was given an appointment for 11:30 AM. When I arrived, I told them I had an appointment, the guy took my keys, and I sat there waiting. And waiting. And waiting. It took over two hours just for them to tell me what was "wrong" and how much it would cost. When he finally came back, I was told it would be around $850. I was already annoyed, but since I don't have much car experience, I agreed to let them do the work. About an hour later, he comes back and says because my car is four-wheel drive, it's another $80. Fine. Whatever. Then I waited another two hours for them to supposedly complete the work. After I paid and left, I immediately noticed my steering wheel was still not straight. The next day I called and told them about it, and they told me to bring it back. I did. This time they only worked on it for about 30 minutes. The tech handed me my keys, and I asked, "Everything good now?" He said yes. As soon as I got on the road, I could tell nothing had changed. The steering was still off, and on top of that, my car smelled like cigarettes. I don't smoke, and no one should be smoking in my car. I had to drive to White Marsh, and when I was leaving, my front passenger side started making noise like something was loose and about to fall off. Then I noticed my RPM and MPH weren't lining up properly, making it unsafe to drive at normal speeds. I was forced to drive slowly just to avoid causing an accident. Eventually, I had to get my car towed. Because of their incompetence, I had my car taken to a dealership where I could at least trust the work being done. Now I'm facing potentially thousands more in repairs for problems they either caused or failed to catch. At this point, I'm even considering getting a new car because of how badly this was handled. This place is unprofessional, careless, and feels extremely scummy. Between the long waits, changing prices, poor workmanship, damage to my vehicle, and the lack of accountability, this was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. They ended up finding out where I lived and demanded me to "tip" for an outrageous amount, under the table to put on some lugnuts and a tire plug. ***They found out where I lived, got my name, address, and personal phone number out of their database and LITERALLY DROVE TO MY HOUSE AND EGREGIOUSLY ASKED FOR A TIP*** The mechanic that showed up to my house even threatened to change the price "back to what it should have costed" To keep it simple, he wanted to charge me a ridiculous price for EACH LUGNUT HE REPLACED, SEPERATELY. It actually gets so much horrifically worse than this.. I'm leaving out so many details. The scam itself, our interaction at my house. and at the shop.. It's horrible what happened to me and I hope this review helps others avoid situations like this. STAY AWAY!!! AT ALL COSTS!!

Nearly every time I bring my vehicle in, I end up having to return it because widget xyz was not installed correctly, or something was missed that should have been found during the QC. Bought 4 brand new tires, the next day was of them was flat, bad valve stem, or so they said. They ordered the wrong size tires, which cost me an extra day, then when the tires were installed, the car sat for a few hours and the bad tire was starting to lose air. Like, doesn't anyone check these things before giving the vehicle to the customer?? The front office staff is very helpful, especially Andrea, and I think that's why I kept coming back, but I'm tired now. I'm tired of having to burn leave days from work to deal with returns, or paying for tows that could have been avoided. I would rate these techs as some of the worse I've experienced at Firestone since opening an account with this company nearly 20 years ago. Your experience at this location may differ and I hope it does, but for me, I've had enough.

I came to them to find out what was wrong with my engine, although i got a…read morediagnostic from autozone and let them know they said i needed a MAF sensor, but they told me all it was, was the air filters and low oil codes popping up. Charged me $220, ok. Not even 2 full hours later of me driving around to do errands my engine light comes back on. Not only that within a week after me bringing my car to them, my car starts starting and not staying on. This happened 3 times within a span of a week. I got stuck in a garage because my car wouldn't start anymore and a guy my school sent out looked at my oil and said it was dark!! i brought my car BACK to bob's and they then charge me another $200 just to clean out a sensor but on the receipt it says they removed and replaced the sensor (lying on paperwork) and they said this was a new code to pop up. But when I brought my car to autozone before coming to Bob's, they told me the MAF sensor was the issue. Another 3 hours after driving my car from getting their service, my engine light turns back on. They have no respect for clientele and just want to ruin your car so you have to keep coming back to them. I have never been so dissatisfied in my life! Do not go here!

They confirmed it was under warranty and told me to bring it it . After arriving and sitting in the waiting room for a few minutes I was told the truck warranty did not cover this issue and they said after looking at the truck it was the pump hot wire ran to the battery they said it had no breaker I pointed to the breaker and was told it was not in the right place . The service manager Paul was very rude in telling me they were not covering the issue . I've been took the truck to P and H auto electric here in Baltimore. And he came out and looked at the truck and said a bad battery terminal caused this problem and not the X ternal pump hotwire and he proceeded to put a new terminal on the truck he put a new battery in the truck and we were on our way. It seem to me Chesapeake Ford would have gave blood to sell me the truck missed diagnosed the issue when the truck was bought in for this . And proceeded to blame it on everything else but what the real problem was . Chesapeake Ford made it very clear they are not really interested in covering things when it's on them that was clear .

They still hadn't even ordered the parts. Thank you for making a bad situation worse by prolonging my breakdown. I make my money by having work trucks on the road not waiting for your sorry parts department to order them. I ended up ordering the part from another dealer and refuse to do business with this dealership in the future. Zero stars for zero service!
