It took me a long time living in this town to realize that the bakery is actually located in Saline. You don't see the building from Michigan Avenue. They sell at the Saline Farmer's Market. And just today, I learned that they are a pickup point for Food Gatherers. My church has a "Faith & Food" garden, and I'm geeked that we can give the extra produce to Food Gatherers. So I will make a beeline to Ed's with some basil. The produce pickup is every Monday and Friday, Between 7:30 and 8 am. No later than 8:00 am. I am going to get some of Ed's bread when I stop by with produce. Watch for an update as I reacquaint myself with an old favorite.

Wow, just perfectly seasoned and perfectly baked. There was not a soggy bit in sight even though I'd imagine something like this could get soggy really easily. It's basically like a robust stuffed bagel. They have three different types so I'll have to come back to try the other two. They had a good assortment of doughnuts but I didn't try any.
