If not for her visits and walks, I wouldn't be able to have a dog because I work full time. Rocky loves her as much as he loves me, and he's pretty crazy about Mike, too. I have always had the utmost faith in Kate's Pet Sitting. In all our years together she has never missed a visit, never given anything but superior service. I swear if something happened to me I would want Rocky to go live with Kate and Mike, because they are like his second parents. And even though the service we pay for is walking the dog, she always takes the time to pet the cats and make sure they are doing OK, too. We all love Kate and Mike. Unfortunately my dogs can't do that. One is scared of other dogs and one can be aggressive. So I liked that Cassio did individual boarding but also let dogs in a family board together. We did the test run overnight with them and all seemed well. So we used them when we had to go out of town for two weeks. I got my babies back in perfect condition! I even added on the grooming service and they looked good! I would definitely use them again when traveling away from home without my dogs. One star off because I wish they would send pics of the dogs throughout the stay. My previous daycare in Florida did and it helps a lot with the anxiety. I did call and ask but got like 2 pics and one vid over the course of the two weeks. 5 stars if they provide pics daily/every other day.

I was very skeptical because of the reviews. However, I was visiting the area for the weekend and…read moremy dog was freaking out when left alone in the hotel, so I didn't have much of a choice. Firstly, I called probably 20 other places in the area and Cassio was the only place that answered their phone on a Saturday morning, which I greatly appreciated. They didn't need to do a meet and greet, which every other place that I spoke to seemed to require in advance. Upon arrival, I shared that my dog is scared of other dogs and can be aggressive when there's toys or food around because he's possessive. They let me know that they don't do group play or keep multiple dogs in a space together which I was happy to hear. They said that during the operating hours, minus a break from 12-3, someone would always be with my dog. We only boarded him at Cassio for about five hours on a Saturday and Sunday, so I'm not sure what the overnight protocol is. There seemed to be a fair amount of staff members each day and the services were fairly priced. It cost about 41$ each day. The only thing I was hesitant about was that they required his collar to be removed, which has an Apple air tag on it, so that made me nervous because I was worried he'd somehow escape the facility. They remove all collars and leashes so the dogs don't get caught on the cages and get hurt, so it makes sense. The facilities seem very large, there were multiple outside areas that had large fences around them, and an open air cage area that had an overhead covering. We weren't offered a tour of the facility, but we also didn't ask. This was our first time doing a doggy day care situation, so we weren't sure of the protocol but I wish I would've asked to see where my dog would be spending a few hours. Overall, if I had to do it again, I would use Cassio for doggy daycare.

Besides this being a really warm, caring family and the home being set up for dogs (a backyard for them to roam and cushions and beds around the home for the dogs to choose from), daily, Denise texted us status updates. Our dog was being spoiled with massages and a lot of attention. We felt very comfortable and assured with the time and care they were providing. Besides the family dog, there were other dogs there, which suited my dog just fine. Also, at the end, we were presented with a little memento of a framed picture of our dog from his time there with a message from the family. It was an outstanding experience.

**DEEPLY UPSETTING GROOMING EXPERIENCE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR A KEESHOND…read more I brought my two Keeshonds to Beau Chien expecting professional, breed appropriate grooming (especially when I was told by Alex he had experience grooming Keeshonds). Unfortunately, this turned into the worst grooming experience me and my two dogs ever had! Keeshonds are a double-coated dog breed and proper grooming requires preserving the coat (especially their signature mane). My female's mane was completely chopped off, drastically changing her appearance and coat structure. She barely resembled a Keeshond and looked more like a Polar Bear. My male's grooming was very concerning to me! About a week and a half (after their grooming appointment at Beau Chien) I took them to get their hair brushed from a groomer who had pointed out to me how thin my males mane was and showed me multiple bald patches on his neck where his hair had clearly been pulled out rather than gently brushed. or properly de-matted. Seeing those areas where his hair was gone had extremely upset me. Prior to their grooming at Beau Chien I had taken them to their regular groomers in Bethel. However, my groomer was fully booked and would not be able to groom them for another month. She came out to see the both of my dogs as she always did and checked their coats (a regular thing she does). I left there and went home. A week later I had taken them to Beau Chien. After this experience at Beau Chien I went back to my regular groomer to show her the chop job they each had. My groomer was in shock (as I had been when I saw my female) when she saw how the female's mane was completely chopped off as well as all her fur too. It looked like she was groomed by EDWARD SCISSOR HANDS! My groomer told me that both my Keeshonds were no where near severely matted and that there was absolutely no need to drastically chop off their hair female's mane and a huge majority of her fur and same with my male. She said that an experienced and patient groomer (familiar with the breed) would have safely brushed through her mane and not have chopped it all off which I agree with her a 100%! When I contacted the owner to discuss what had happened to my two dogs, I was told "It was the Humane thing to do" We are not there to euthanize my dog, we were there for them to get groomed!! I was in shock the owner said that to me! Humane grooming should never result in unnecessary coat removal or bald patches on my dog's throat. This experience left me feeling that there was a lack of breed specific knowledge, poor handling of double-coated dogs. NO WILLINGNESS to ACKNOWLEDGE CLIENT CONCERNS AFTERWARDS. I am sick over this chop job they called grooming
