We've been to this location a few times over the years but have never really been blown away, just always felt like it was decent although it was getting progressively worse with each visit. We were in town this past Wednesday so decided we'd give them a shot and I have nothing but regrets about going here and will never be back. My first issue is with the quality of service received. We waited about 40 minutes to be seated (which was expected) but after being seated we were passed by our waiter at last 3 different times assuring us he'd be "right with us" each time. After finally getting to us and getting our orders that was the last we saw of him for at least a half hour. Finally we were tired of waiting so my wife caught him on the way past us and asked if he could check on our food. To this he replied "sure" and walked to the back before almost instantly coming out with our "food". I use the term "food" very loosely here as it's obvious our food had been ready for quite some time now and was just sitting somewhere under a lamp or some sort of warming area. My wife's food was cold, my pulled pork dried out and stiff, biscuits cold and hard as rock, burnt ends dried and tough, baked beans congealed over, and potato salad sitting at room temperature. After commenting about the cold food the offer was made to remake the food but we'd already wasted enough time here and didn't have another hour to sacrifice to their ineptitude. I left at least half my food on the plate as I couldn't force myself to finish this monument of mediocrity. This place is claimed to be the favorited barbecue spot in all of Pigeon Forge but I have no idea how. I can buy barbecued pork in a can from my local grocery store that tastes better than this slop. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because at least I didn't get food poisoning but, who knows, I may have if I were able to actually finish the entirety of this gross meal. read more

Our first time in town and we weren't sure where to get dinner tonight. The wait was shorter than expected and the service was excellent. Pair that with a delicious meal, and what more could you ask for? My daughter even says the potato skins were the best she's ever had. We shared the 3 meat combo and still had leftovers. The gentleman at the takeout counter was super helpful in making sure we didn't order too much for just the two of us. In the end we selected a full rack of ribs with beans and Cole slaw. The ribs were perfectly cooked; tender but not falling apart. They were sauced just right in my opinion but we were provided with additional sauce if you want. This is a large building with high ceilings which may have contributed to the cold interior temp when we visited in January. Service was good. Food was good. TO PREFACE THIS REVIEW, I would like to state that I do work in the food service industry at a growing fast casual BBQ chain. Even though I have not been working there long, I know what quality barbecue tastes like. Pulling in, I was impressed to see EV chargers in dedicated parking spaces. The entrance to the restaurant is on the left side. I did not get the salad bar, but for $12, it's probably not the best deal. The sweet tea is amazing and has that true southern flavor. I got the pulled chicken sandwich which was dry. Even though there was barbecue sauce on it, the meat was still very dry. Don't get unless you want bland tasting meat. The others in my group liked their food overall but it was nothing memorable. I did take off one star for the dryness of my sandwich. I took off another star because of what I found in the men's bathroom. Walking in, I was taken aback by the unpleasant smell originating from "waterless urinals." In general the bathroom was a tad run down. Even before I started to work in the food service industry, cleanliness of the bathroom was an important factor in deciding whether I would come back to an establishment. This bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a few days and it was disgusting. As you can see in the last few pictures, there was a bowl of a salt next to a sink and it did not leave a good taste in my mouth along with the dirty faucets. Where I work, the bathrooms are checked 3 times a day for cleanliness and if something is not clean or stocked, it is immediately squared away. To the management, bathrooms may not be a high priority on your side, but consumers will notice what areas of a restaurant have been overlooked. read more

The breakfast buffet has a nice balance of healthy fruits and veggies in addition to freshly made hot pancakes, French toast, a Belgian waffle bar, perfectly crisped bacon, mounds of scrambled eggs, the best biscuits & gravy, grits, oatmeal, completely delicious smoked sausage, sausage patties, homemade cinnamon donuts, and perfectly made pulled pork. There is a variety of bbq sauces available on each table for sampling, and they are so different from each other that there is bound to be something for everyone. The restaurant dining area and bathrooms are always clean. They even keep a bowl of their house-made salt scrub in the bathroom to keep your hands feeling super soft. The staff has always been southern charming and attentive. We like the whole role of paper towels on each table so we can get all up into their tasty spread.
