This Company has charged me $500 every month. That is twice what anyone else charges. There is a different crew every week. I have to wait around for them to come and then walk around to ask them to do things that I asked to be done the week before. Then they argue with me and say they won't do it. Then It's one argument after another. 3 times I have had to call and ask for a supervisor to come out. After the last crew got angry, I was uncomfortable in my own back yard. I called to cancel and Steven, the customer no-service agent got on the line he asked what the problem was. Every time I told him what was wrong he said that was really ok. Everything was ok. Over and over again, repeating himself. I've finally had enough. But they won't let me get rid of them. I have to pay them again to come to my yard, not do their job and make me uncomfortable in my own home. They are a big company and they do not care. Stay away. Don't get involved with them. You can't get them out of your yard. read more

Waited to move out of my home before posting. Hired him for snow removal. They did a half job and promised to come back the next day and never did. Still demanded full payment for a half job. Very disrespectful. read more

Their workers caused damage to my vehicle. I have been in contact with the supervisor and customer service dept and they refuse to provide their insurance info so I can get my car fixed. This is against the law. Watch out when dealing with them as they won't do the right thing. read more

I applied for a position at this company and I felt disrespected and discriminated. The foreman gave me a phone call telling me an HR manager will call me for the hiring process. And never got a call. To top it off he spoke to me in Spanish and then in English and told me my Spanish was terrible so I couldn't work there. He also hated the fact that I spoke English him and the president of Bennett where both surprised I spoke proper English and discriminated me asking me what am I doing there applying for a job like that when I speak perfect English. What if I just love to do landscape and look for more opportunity? There is nothing wrong with that. Office and dump yard look like a shit show. And very unsafe work environment. Workers only get payed 17 an hour to do hard work like this. Office was very messy looked like an unsafe environment. read more

We are so thrilled with the way our front yard came out. We were well prepared with the landscape designer recommended by Sean Bennett. The crew was so professional & respectful, the supervisor Rene was completely on top of every aspect of the job. The complete experience from meeting us to pick out our plants to the end was a joy. Failed to communicate what date or time they'd show up after requesting minor work and repairs be done to our irrigation system. The employee then gave my wife attitude when she showed up after being out shopping and wasn't there to let them into the backyard . They called and showed up on a whim only 10 minutes or so prior. They completed the repairs but did not do the minor project requested with their receptionist. Would not recommend them or use again. read more

Hired them for root grinding, 60 ft. of root barrier installation and removal of several old concrete post mounts (2 ft deep). Pedro and his crew over 2 days were excellent. Bennett Landscape Over the years, I have used several Landscape\Tree service companies in this area. I have used Bennett Landscape specifically for a variety of services, including planting, landscape maintenance, and sprinkler installation, fence repair, tree trimming, and fire wood purchases. I find them to be exceptionally well organized and professional. They keep their office staffed during business hours and they answer their own phones. I usually call them with jobs where price and work quality are important, and they get it right every time. They also communicate well electronically. I am always glad that I called these guys. I would give them the highest rating in this business category. read more

Not again! Over the last few years I've had several sprinkler stations start to falter. They are not fully closing after use, which results in some sprinklers having constant water dribble. I'm told that after 7+ years this can happen, unfortunately this is the 4th & 5th station to have this issue, and I have 12 stations. The cost is really starting to add up, I feel like I get a fair price, but it's still bad news. The owner, Sean Bennett has been fair with the repair costs that I've had to endure. The good news is that Bennett Landscape is always fast to address the situation and give me a quote. My replacement was again aptly addressed by JD who initially put my system in. The work area was left clean with little trace of their having been there - a sign of a good job. Most important, the sprinkler station no longer dribbles water. Another great experience with Bennett Landscape, which is why I always trust them when I have sprinkler system 'challenges.' read more

We love our new landscaping from Bennett Landscape!!! Sean and his team where a pleasure to work with and did a wonderful job!! We met with Sean and told him about how our currently landscaping with taking a ton of water and money to keep green. My wife and I were spending a lot or hours week after trimming, sweeping and cleanup to maintain our landscaping. It was not what we thought it would be when we installed it and certainly no longer environmentally viable. We had several queen palms that had become huge and too large for our planters and ever day they dropped all kinds of seeds and made a mess. Our Bougainvillea's had become overgrown and constantly dropped dead flowers and leaves. We also had old landscaping lighting that had become corroded, broken and burned out so effectively useless. Sean helped us remove all the over grown water hungry dirty plants and trees and replace them with new drought tolerant low maintenance plants that look wonderful. We have new lights that look great and work. We could not be happier! Many thanks for a job well done!! read more

The team at Bennett Landscape did a fantastic job from beginning to end of the project. From design to installation the work exceeded our expectations. We received multiple bids and decided on Bennett as they came in under their competition and with more deliverables. Great job team Bennett! read more

Bennett installed our automatic irrigation system and we couldn't be happier! The installation Materials are high quality, with a great guarantee. It was very competitive in pricing for install compared to other companies in the area. JD, the irrigation specialist was prompt and courteous. He was able to install everything quickly and effectively. He even gave us tips on how frequently to water to keep our grass green. We couldn't be happier not having to manually water our greenery. We are saving time and money! We would highly recommend going with Bennett for all landscape needs ! read more

My husband and I have Bennett Landscaping do our weekly gardening. We are so pleased with Alberto and Hector's work and value their input whenever we ask for advice. They keep our yard neat and tidy. A few months ago, we had some questions about replanting our lawn and upgrading our sprinkler and drip system. Alberto suggested that we call Sean and ask him for some advice, and what they could do to help us. Sean came up and made some good suggestions that would work for us. A new sprinkler and drip system will make it easier to keep our yard watered and at the same time save on water consumption. Nicholas, Angel and the other crew members who came to help were so great. They were all very professional, and made sure we understood how the new sprinkler and drip systems worked. They always came on time, and cleaned up after they finished their work for the day. We highly recommend this company and the two teams who have worked for us! They were terrific!! We give them 5 stars for a fantastic job!! Dave and Sandy Akins read more

One star only because it is required. We have been dissatisfied with the service level and attention for several months and absolutely nothing has been done to remedy this. Phone calls are not returned, emails ignored. There are a great many plants in our yard that now need to be removed due to ignorance and improper care and neglect. This is very much in opposition to what Sean (president) promised in our initial meeting. I was promised professionals who knew plant care and would would properly prune and feed our landscape. This was never done. Not only are the maintenance staffers not educated about proper plant maintenance and care but also they do not pay attention to detail whatsoever and the ownership of the company does not care by any means whatsoever for their customers satisfaction or they way their company looks based on their work. Don't waste your time. read more

I LOVE Bennett Landscape! Years ago, I changed my yard to completely drought tolerant plants - grass is my enemy! The gardeners I tried were mow and blow, and didn't understand anything about succulents, even though they told me they did. I lost many many plants due to mismanagement and too much water! I was embarrassed by the condition of my yard - everything was really over grown. Finally I found Bennett Landscape who responded immediately! First the supervisor came to get a general idea of what work needed to be done. He took notes and pictures of the yard. Then different teams of professionally trained workman came depending what was going to be done that day. Always, the foreman spoke English and also wrote notes as to what was accomplished that day. I was having trouble with the sprinkler system. That team came out and found two leaking valves - that added hundreds of dollars to my water bill! The valves were fixed in 5 minutes - at no charge! Bennett Landscape uses science, knowledge and experience to address landscape issues. My yard is finally getting the love needed to make it look spectacular again. ..Rancho Palos Verdes read more

Once a year we need major tree trimming and yard clean up. The Bennett guys are the most reliable team ever. It is my Mom's house and I do not live nearby. I can send them a picture showing what I need done and wa-la, it is done to perfection. The cleanup is immaculate. Thank you to Bennett Landscape for making yard clean up so easy! THE BENNETT group just trimmed a very special tree at my Mom's house. A palm tree grew in the backyard and my Mom said my Dad had sent the seed from Heaven. It was a beautiful Queen palm much like what they have in Hawaii, which was their favorite vacation spot. This tree got its first 'HAIR' cut and it looks spectacular. It brought tears to my Mom's eyes, special thanks to the Bennett team!!! read more

We had two large Eucalyptus trees that we wanted to cut down but we were concerned since they were located above a stable, a fence, and a very busy horse trail. Bennett Landscape came highly recommended. The large crew was very polite and professional. They had the two trees down and the area cleaned up in one day. They only had to come back the next day for a few large pieces of trunk. Most importantly, there was no property damaged or horses/riders hurt. read more

Service has declined incredibly. They used to do a good job with a crew of 3 and would spend a good 45 min to do my yard. Now they have 2 guys that basically cut the lawn and blow leaves for 20-25 minutes and don't even bother to tend to garden. They don't notice when plants are dying because there are broken sprinklers, or need fertilizing. We have to do our own pruning, sprinklers, fertilizing. When I call the management, I am told to leave a voicemail to Arturo who does not return my calls. Overpriced for a lawn cutting service. read more

I don't normally do reviews but the world needs to know about the horrible customer service given by this company. The worst tree removing service ever. I had a quote for the removal of three trees on my property back in February. They came out on April 25 and promised us it would be done in two days. Well guess what? They weren't even able to take down one tree in that time. A week passed and they didn't come back out so I called them to find out what was going. The receptionist said they were having problems scheduling me in. The easy solution would have been to schedule other people after my job was done but these idiots probably can't figure that out. So the owner called me back and said they would come out on the 9th of May. I asked him how long it would take and he said one day, which I knew was impossible. So they came out today and the job is still NOT done, far from it. Save yourself a lot of headache and frustration, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They finally finished the job and the owner himself came out and checked to see that it was. Although scheduling could have been better, the price was much more reasonable than the other companies were charging. read more

Just a word of warning, never pay in full until all of the project is completed. And even then, I would recommend you hold back a portion of your payment because if there is a problem my experience was that Bennett Landscaping seriously overcharged to correct their mistakes and then did not return phone calls. I recommend you use Bennett Landscaping if you like poor service at high cost. read more

Bennet Landscape built a patio and landscaped our backyard. Our patio has been in for approximately 2.5 months. We have gotten compliments on its appearance. However, as homeowners we have a number of concerns. 1) The patio is not level in areas, causing seating and table placement to be tricky. 2) A major problem was that the irrigation was not initially set properly, causing plants to die, and they are just coming back to health. One seems damaged beyond hope. 3) We put in a rectangular fire pit. The company ordered a round gas element for it which made no sense. Getting the correct type of gas element put the schedule back, and we wound up having to do the research to find the correct element. 4) The communication with the company began well as did the scheduled work. However, the communication gradually deteriorated as did the attention to the schedule. Luckily, we had given ourselves a buffer for an important family event that was to take place in our backyard. Overall, I would give the experience a B at this time. Since the plantings are guaranteed for a year and since the patio has not been subjected to rain to determine how it will perform regarding puddling and drainage, I will update this review as necessary. read more

I highly recommend Bennett landscape. We have a huge property and wanted to stay within a budget. Sean the owner, made great recommendations like purchasing smaller trees that would eventually grow versus buying adult trees which can be very costly. He made sure we understood that we needed to be patient for the look we were going for. His assistant robin always seemed to know what was going on with our project and the few times she did not she promptly got back to us with answers. Nick the irrigation guy, actually asked questions and clarified decisions instead of just ploughing ahead, thankfully, because it so happened our plans were not correct on paper. Our construction had changed what was physically there. Believe me this whole construction process has been a real learning process and there are so many companies that quote less and cut corners. If u want quality and to work with someone honest, call Sean at Bennett landscape. read more

I am so pleased with Bennett Landscape! I had a design plan that I had been putting off from having implemented after a few bad experiences from other landscapers (those who didn't show up to bid, showed up but didn't submit a bid, not replying to phone calls, no follow up, disappeared, blown off by bigger projects, etc. etc.). From the beginning, Bennett was professional, smart, and customer service oriented. Everyone from the owner to the crew was so considerate and thoughtful. The plants were of the highest quality. There were a few changes that happened during the implementation and Bennett made it unbelievably painless and easy. I contacted Bennett Landscape to get and estimate of having our lawn re sodded. Sean came out and took the measurements and also gave us a suggestion to add a couple of new sprinklers so that the area that was not getting water they will help the new lawn to stay green. The installers came out on time and went straight to work and said if I had any questions don't hesitate to ask, we want to do it right and to my satisfaction. Even though its only been a few days since the installation we have gotten a number of compliments on our lawn and that is a testament of the installers work ethics and to Bennett Landscape for having these men working for them.
