My impression is that they handle basic sprinkler repairs, but I would not recommend them for irrigation problems involving electrical diagnostics. The work was expensive, the original problem was never fixed, and follow-up was poor. I hired them to address three issues: an "over current" error on one irrigation zone, a missing sprinkler head on a hillside, and uneven lawn coverage. They were initially responsive and scheduled the work within a week. During a half-day visit they replaced a valve they said was cracked, installed the missing sprinkler head, relocated several sprinklers, and upgraded some sprinkler heads. The cost was about $1,600. I was told the work was guaranteed for one year, but I never received a written receipt. Within days, the "over current" error returned. After repeated calls, texts, and emails over the next month, I finally received an automated appointment confirmation for a return visit. At the follow-up, the technician took only a brief look at the valve, searched Google on his phone, and suggested I simply let the solenoid burn out and replace it when needed. That said, if you have fruit trees or citrus in your yard, be aware that they do not have the expertise to handle specialized watering needs for those plants. The sprinklers near my fruit trees were set up incorrectly, and a professional arborist I later consulted told me the configuration would overwater the trees. I called OC Sprinkler Doctor to come back and fix the issue, but they never returned my call. Now I am in a position where I will need to hire a professional arborist who also can do landscaping to come back and fix the sprinkler system again, likely at a cost of $3,000 or more, when I am able to afford it. He would replace all the sprinkler heads in the front yard, repair the severed electrical wire in the back yard, and extended a watering line in the back that was needed. The work was excellent, he and his crew arrived on time. My tenants said they were wonderful..worked hard, were friendly and took the time to show them how to work the automatic timers and adjust the timing and days as needed when the weather changes. When he was finishing up he sent me videos of the various areas of the yard with the various water stations running and covering the previous dry areas.
