I discovered a water leak late one evening that required the main water line to the entire house to be shut off at the street. I sent an email with a photo of the issue to Richard and he responded within minutes that he could do the work ASAP as long as he could find the correct valves (rare commercial type valve). Richard scoured several suppliers and contacted me within the hour and said he found the valves and the next morning the work was complete. Our backyard has been a years long process. We've done some hardscaping work, as well as some softscaping to define spaces. Well, we had a large dirt area where we knew we wanted either sod or artificial turf. We decided sod was best. Of course, I initially thought I could install the sod myself but we all have limitations. Turning to Yelp, I found Sprinklers and Turf. Seeing their five star ratings helped in making the decision to contact them. After sending my information, Richard contacted me almost immediately and was able to come by the house to talk about what we wanted to do. He gave an estimate within hours, which was quite reasonable, in my opinion. Richard knew I needed to get some electrical work done before we moved forward and I needed a couple of weeks. He followed up a couple weeks after, came by one more time to go over the scope of work, which changed from the original meeting. A revised quote was sent over and agreed upon. Richard and his guys showed up at 8 am on the day he said he would. He said it would be a two day job. The second day was set for sod install but unfortunately I received a call from the sod farm the trailer was stolen, sod and all. We had to reschedule and thankfully for Richard, he was able to come back on Friday. Once again, Richard and his guy (only one guy this day) showed up right at 8am and got to work. What an amazing job they did! They both worked so hard and they transformed the previously all dirt area to a beautiful green space. Richard and his crew installed artificial grass in my yard in April of 2019. I also asked for a 2'x20' planter area that I was planning to use to plan herbs and such. About a month ago I finally decided to do something with the planter area and installed some artificial trees. Now my yard looks perfect. And the turf still looks amazing after nearly two years. There's no fading, no tears and no visible imperfections in the grass. Although I wouldn't say my backyard's makeover was cheap, but it was well worth the cost. We had a leak in an old galvanized sprinkler main pipe that was causing a pond in our backyard. Most sprinkler guys don't like to repair galvanized piping. I was scrambling to find anyone willing to repair it, and the only quote I got from someone else was pretty expensive. I left a message with Richard from Sprinklers and Turf, and he called me back the next day. He gave me some good suggestions over the phone about how to replace the sprinkler main and get rid of the troublesome galvanized pipes. He came out the same day and gave me a bid and walked through the whole sprinkler system. His guys came a few days later and did all the work in one day and did a professional install and cleaned up afterwards. When I mentioned that a few of my micro emitters were broken and I was missing a hose bib key, Richard offered to pick them up and installed them for me. It's pretty amazing because I've never actually met Richard, only spoken to him on the phone and via text.
