I didn't need a new bumper; I just needed it attached securely. They said their process required them to install a new bumper; I said fine; whatever. Then, just a few months (not even years) later, it started coming really loose on one side. When I called them, they said it was because the fender was bent so they couldn't securely attach it. Why didn't they think to tell me that initially, when it mattered? I tried to get my money back, including filing a dispute on my credit card, but they won't budge. I don't know what it is with this location. 20 years ago, I used Unique in Salt Lake Valley and they took excellent care of me. Whenever we need work done at this SS location, they charge us up the yin-yang and for some reason, it always takes 50-100% longer than the time they quote us. Due to this, we will never use them again. It's sad because we like to support our local businesses, and we've had a great experience with Enterprise next door - no complaints - but I can't support this one.

I bought a used Tesla two weeks ago. Though I had the car inspected, it's been making a clicking…read morenoise when I drive, so I took it to Unique Auto Body to have it checked out. A few hrs later I got a text saying "we think it's a wheel bearing". I said "think or know?" and I asked if they had looked at it and seen that it was for sure broken. They responded "it sounds like that, that's the only thing that could be making the sound". Then they quoted me over $800 to fix it (which if you compare to other businesses, is insane). I declined the service. A few mins later I went in to get my car. When I dropped it off, I handed them my key card which was brand new out of the packaging. The dealership gave me a new keycard with the purchase of the car. The keycard they handed me back was bent in half and covered in scratches. Visibly several years old. I asked if they had swapped my card out for an older one (very easy to do). They denied it several times. This is absolutely, 100% not the key card that I came in with. And it's not even about that, I barely use my keycard. It's the principle of swapping it out and then lying about it. Also, I had two other mechanics look at my car, and both confirmed that the wheel bearings were in tact. I wouldn't trust these people with your car.

After a very friendly visit, Domenico held onto the car and kept us informed on when parts would arrive. Although let's delayed, he kept us up to date and very professional playing intermediary with the car washes insurance team. Once parts arrived, he was able to fix the hood and get the car back to su the same day! Hood looked brand new and he even buffed out some scratches that occurred around the hood as well.

The manager I spoke with on Monday morning told me that "the law states" they could not provide me with the inspection and that I would have to pay another $360 for a completely new pre-purchase inspection. After looking into it further, I found that this was at best a misleading explanation. If the shop has a policy not to release inspection reports to anyone other than the original customer, that's understandable--but saying "the law" requires a new inspection is very different. I felt like I was being pressured to spend another $360 unnecessarily. On top of that, the manager was rude from the very beginning of the phone call. Customer service matters, especially when someone is trying to make an informed purchase on a vehicle. I hope the business is more transparent with future customers about its policies and treats people with more respect. (The Office reference anyone??) These are not cheap. Be grateful if you get away with paying anything under $1000 for repair. Mine costed $1700. AAA worked with McNiels auto care to ensure it was replaced and paid for. Your insurance normally covers this theft under comprehensive insurance FYI. Call your insurance and give them your mechanics info. As soon as they reviewed the damage, Andrew took pictures and sent me a link detailing exactly what the extent of the damage was. I was able to review the pics myself. AWESOME TOUCH! Never have I seen an auto mechanic use technology in this way to keep their customers updated. After this, Andrew called me to ensure I understood exactly what happened and what was needed in order to repair. It took them about a week total of ordering the part and installation.
