I don't eat steak out cause hubby makes the best at home so I usually order crab cakes or lobster bisque but was not too thrilled with the way they make theirs so last time I ate here I only got the iceberg lettuce salad. Back again after an absence as we go to the city locations. By far the BEST steakhouse in Westchester!! Started with some oysters. East and west coast. Briny and super fresh. Shrimp cocktail next. Colossal shrimp with excellent sauce. Super firm and tasty Wedge salad minus the onion as a cleanser.. Crisp and fresh. Amazing Porterhouse for 2. Medium rare with potato and mushrooms. The steak is truly one of the best I have ever tasted. Cooked hard on the outside with a mm crust cooked on each side and the rest medium rare. Soft and juicy. Full potato was the usual and the mushrooms are always a great side dish. Desserts were cheesecake, lava cake and ice cream. Service was impeccable. Victor was on site and it was great to see him again. Consummate professional. Jet was our waiter and he was attentive and served us well. Tip was commensurate and above the 30% mark. Well earned by him and his team. Zed the manager was also very attentive and made sure our special occasion was enjoyed. Exquisite food and excellent service. Went there on Father Day- full of people, but not a shaggy head. The prix fixe was worth it: great crab cake, shrimp cocktail, ribeye, sides, and desserts. Service remained hospitable and considerate despite the crowd. Looking forward to come back! read more

We came here for their Hudson Valley Restaurant week, made reservation for a Sunday night, free valet parking, the restaurant was full at 7 pm. Check-in hostess was friendly & our server was professional & attentive. The Vespa martini to start was cold & crisp. Foods were delicious & the portions were plentiful. The $10 filet mignon upgrade is worth it, the NY sirloin is just the way I like it. We added a thick bacon app to share along with our included apps, the bacon was delicious. If you want an amazing meal and top notch service, this is the place! My son and I went here for Father's Day, figured a good steak and good times! Wow the place was packed!!!! Cars lined up to get in! I thought it crazy about a valet only lot, but nope they had it right. Let them figure the parking out. You drive up get ticket and go in and eat. Allow just a little more time for this. lol. They were offering a prefix for the day and it was well worth it!!! App, main, side and desert. Perfect. I highly recommend I wish there was an option to give 10 out of 10 I took my guy out for his birthday dinner. Made the reservation through OpenTable and the hostess and staff were able to accommodate the few requests I had made ahead of time. That was a nice welcome! The ambiance is very warm, cozy, lots of wood and bold decor as expected from an upscale steakhouse. The staff was attentive, courteous and quick but not so fast that plates of food piled up on the table. They watched and gauged their timing to bring each course out appropriately. The food was absolutely top notch! They actually season their food. The Lobster Mac, mashed potatoes and steaks were deliciously cooked to perfection. One critique would be please shuck the clams at the time of order. I could tell they'd been a few hours as there was no brine in the shell, but still they were tasty too. I have been back to Benjamin's 3x in 2024. I have to say this is my favorite steakhouse. The food is yummy, the drinks are delicious, the service is damn near perfect ( servers are awesome - especially Vincenzo and Viton), the setting and environment makes you feel like family. Some may say it's pricey but you get what you pay for which is an amazing experience. The manager checks in on all the tables to make sure everyone is good. I will keep going back. read more

Have come here for many years and have loved the cuisine but last Friday April 4th 2025 was very disappointed. It was restaurant week and the food was upsetting. We ordered the lobster bisque and it was too thick, luke warm and just Blah....we ordered the salmon whicj which was just ok, sirloin steak and it gad a funky taste which turned me off, and the worst was the chicken parmigiana, red sauce was awful, cheese was yucky. The only good thing was the sorbet for dessert. I hope it was just because they took corners to keep cost down. Very disappointed. One of our guests got sock today due to this meal.... First time, visited for my father's upcoming birthday. I really liked the interior of the restaurant but I was surprised to see many people wearing t-shirts and baseball caps while dining. Appetizer: Bread basket was decent, really liked the pumpernickel buns. (4/5) The lobster Mac and Cheese was AMAZING. Just the right amount of cheese and the macaroni was perfectly cooked. (5/5) Entree: The lobster was a little rubbery (3/5) served with stuffed crab, really fresh!! (4/5) The Canadian Bacon is soo tender and delicious. (5/5) My parents shared the porterhouse for 2, it was a huge serving that could feed 4, which was great. We ordered it rare, it was a little tough to chew but well-seasoned. Gave them another shot and so glad we did, tonight was absolutely fantastic. From the service to the food to the managers. Steak for 2 was like butter and cooked as ordered. The waiter Vincenzo was fantastic and checked on us throughout the meal and was fun to talk to.. The Managers also came around asking how everything was. We will be back frequently, last week may have just been a rare off night . This time 5/5 stars in every category. Try the Bacon( great with their steak sauce), One of their super fresh salads, the porterhouse steak for 2, loaded baked potato, and addictive creamless cream spinach. Perfect evening. I made reservations for our anniversary. Valet parking was hectic and jam-packed but efficient. Upon entry this place was very cramped. We were led out to the enclosed porch and it was very tight seating. My wife had the Chilean sea bass and I had the filet mignon (well done) we had the mashed potatoes, onion rings and creamed spinach with a couple glasses of wine. I cant help but say I am really disappointed. The food was very good but the servings were small. It annoys me to no end to spend $300+ on dinner and we ate the entire servings and were still hungry! We even had the apple strudel which was mediocre and the ice cream on the side was a meager tiny scoop, not enough to share! For what they charge here you can go to any average steakhouse twice and both times have extras to take home and actually be FULL. That being said, the wait staff is knowledgeable, efficient and great at what they do. The restaurant itself is elegant and beautiful but we came away feeling like it was Westchester-overpriced. I gotta say, Benjamin Steakhouse one of the best in Westchester county. We had reservation for 8pm our table was not ready so we waited at the bar and chatted with the friendly bar tender. We were sat at out table 20min after. I love meat and honestly, the steak was delicious and more than enough. Took some home. You definately have to try the thick bacon appetizer. Our server recommended it and it was a great recommendation. This place have excellent service as you would expect at a white table setting. Party of 4 on a busy Thursday night during restaurant week. Maybe that was the issue. We all had the sirloin and the usual sides. The big issue was temperature. Everything came out room temp or worse. Lobster bisque was delicious and full of lobster but it was room temp. The steaks were flavorful and cooked as requested, but when delivered, the server warned us about very hot plates. I wish! The plates were barely warm as were the steaks and sides. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and even snapped a fun photo with the Easter Bunny. No wait time -- we were seated right away. Our server, Alton, was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when we had questions about how we wanted our steak prepared. Has a solo dinner at the bar two nights ago. Valet parking was easy and required. I sat at the bar and received exceptional service. Mesculen salad to start. Healthy and tasty. I don't eat red meat anymore but my fiancée wanted to steak for her birthday, so we decided to come her. Then she decided to get lamb chops which she loved, lol. Me on the other hand, I got the roasted chicken with spinach, which was ok, the waiter said it was a 1/2 a chicken, but when I got it, it was a 1/4 chicken (breast & wing). Wish it was the entire half because I was still hungry. I hate that steak house list/ say it's a half roasted chicken and when you get it it's, only a 1/4 chicken. The chicken was, just wanted more. Had reservations for 4 on January 7th @ 7:30. Being a "foodie" with an affinity for aged Porterhouse, the fact they they touted their coming from Peter Lugers, provided me with high hopes. Unfortunately, what was delivered was a let down. Mind you, the place is packed, so many others like the place. Our experience started at the bar waiting for our table, we ordered glasses of Merlot & Pinot Grigio but were advised that they were out of both - Looking around at the room surrounded by glass front wine cabinets that contain literally more than a thousand bottles of wine, let's say we were puzzled - Eh, chalk it up, that wasn't why we came here anyway. On to our table, we ordered Raw Oysters, Baked Clams, Tomatoes & Onion for appetizers and for dinner - Steak for 4, 2 orders of Creamed Spinach and 2 orders of Benjamin's Home Fries. The appetizers were spot on and a prelude to what was to come, or so we thought. During the appetizer round, drinks were ordered but never delivered, and our young waiter was missing in action. This "drink issue" went on continuously throughout the evening, each time drinks were ordered we had to search for our waiter to remind him that he'd forgotten our drinks. Also, and this is a bit petty, but the pepper shaker at our table was empty. Had to ask twice for a pepper shaker with pepper. Dinner was delivered, the Porterhouse was not sizzling on delivery to the table - Guessing it sat in the window for a while waiting for our missing waiter to arrive? They only delivered 1 Creamed Spinach & 1 order of potatoes. We reminded our waiter that we ordered 2 of each, he apologized and said he'd take care of it ASAP. The missing sides never came, nor did the drinks we ordered at that time. Well, at least the Porterhouse was there, and coming from a place modeled after Lugers, this could at least make up partially for the absolutely horrible service. WRONG - An "aged" Porterhouse Steak that doesn't melt in your mouth is something you'd expect at a chain restaurant - Not at a restaurant that uses its owner's experience at Peter Lugers. The steak was mediocre at best (the flavor was good), but the meat was not tender (it did taste 'aged'). I regularly buy aged Porterhouse at Greenwich Prime, Ridgefield Prime & Vincent's in the Bronx - I know aged Porterhouse well, and pride myself on being able to come close to a Luger's steak at home. The steak we had at Benjamin's was not the quality of meat I buy at those places and it certainly doesn't compare to Lugers, Keens, Smith n Wolensky or even Black Angus in Danbury. Buyer beware, you'd expect a pair of owners who tout making their bones at Lugers, to understand the value of a waitstaff that doesn't let your water glass level to drop too far before refilling it, to ensure that they're delivering that type of service - Here, management was either absent or doesn't care because the place is packed? The quality of the steak is a mystery to me. Certainly they've sampled their wares as compared to the Lugers they aspire to duplicate? It's impossible to believe that anyone who's eaten at both would find Benjamin's a suitable substitute. At the end of our lackluster dinner we chatted about dessert - based on the complete lack of service, we all decided that we didn't have the extra 2 hours it would take to order and then WAIT for Dessert, or even if we ordered it, whether it would actually come or be right when delivered. With a $500 bill for 4 (as was expected), you expect 4 star service and melt in your mouth steak - If you go to Benjamin's looking for either, you'll be woefully disappointed.
