Amazing birthday celebration at Morton's. It was it was a delight to be back. Melissa was our server and she was amazing and really took care of us. Tony visited multiple times and was a super accommodating front manager. Shaun was also amazing and checked multiple times. Beautiful atmosphere. We started with six oysters and the shrimp cocktail. Both were amazingly prepared and served at the right temperature. The oysters were all East Coast a little briny and super tasty with accompaniments - and were super fresh. The shrimp was firm, tasty and their accompaniments worked well. Our entrees were New York strip steaks cooked medium rare. The one was cooked a little bit less but it worked well for us because I like it cooked at a lower level and we shared them appropriately. The sides were the mushrooms and spinach, loaded potato, and Brussels sprouts,m. Everything was cooked perfectly and was just the perfect accompaniment. We were done and siated , but because it was a special birthday, they come to us with an offer of a Keylime pie, candle and a brief celebration. My friend and I visited Morton's on a Friday evening after work. Unfortunately, the service fell well below expectations. After being seated, it took nearly 25 minutes for anyone to greet us or take our drink order. Once our order was placed, our server, Jeffrey, did not check on us again. After receiving our food and drink order, I noticed that my friend's glass was chipped and extremely sharp, which prompted me to notify the server. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue. He returned with a fresh drink, placed it down & walked away. When the check arrived, the drink was not comped despite the hazard. A manager was notified, however, the concern was brushed off rather than addressed appropriately. All he said was I'm sure they tossed the glass. Again, no apology or gesture to imply they were sorry. I also had to request bread (that was not previously offered ) when our dinner came out. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and due to the lack of service and response to a safety issue, I will not be returning. read more

My husband's 51st Birthday Celebration Dinner at Morton's White Plains was stellar from beginning to end. The service was exceptional, including a personalized welcome flyer and photo birthday card signed by the staff. Our waitress, Margarita, was kind, courteous and went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration more fun and memorable. The food was beyond amazing. every dish was delicious, visually stunning and filling. The steak and lobster were perfectly prepared and the bisque is by far the best I have ever had. I had creamed spinach as my side it was ok, I've had better from other steakhouses. I tried desert the cheesecake was Amazing. Drinks were good as well. We decided to go to Morton's on a Saturday night. We made reservations for 6:45pm. We arrived at 6:30 and were seated immediately. Upon sitting down, they gave us drink menus only. It did take a while for a server to come over with the actual menu. It then took another while for him to come over again to take the order. At this point, we were already there sitting down for about 20 minutes and still had no drinks. When he came back over to take our food order, I asked if they had the bread for the table. He said that would only be brought out once he put in our food order, which I thought was odd. Anyway- the service was very slow. It was already 7:38pm (an hour later) and all we had gotten was the bread, and our appetizers. The main dishes took about another 30-40 minutes to come out. To put it into perspective, we sat down at 6:35pm, and didn't exit the place until about 9:15pm. The service was terribly slow, and the place was NOT busy at all. Now the food- Cesar salad- I've had better, wouldn't get again French onion soup- good Filet mignon- delicious! Rack of lamb- good Loaded mashed potato- good, big portion Truffle matchstick French fries- ok, wouldn't get again Asparagus- good Crème brûlée- basic, wouldn't get again Key lime pie- good Cappucino- wouldn't get again Glass of wine -$26, def wouldn't get again I've been to Morton's several times, this was probably the worst experience I've had there. The food was good, but the service was really bad/slow. We were also celebrating an anniversary and so it was a little disappointing that this was the experience we had. That is why I'm giving this 3 stars only, because I can't give 2.5. Parking- there is a shopping mall and lots of other stores nearby, so there is a parking lot you can go into and pay using an app. It was only $4 to park for 3 hours. read more

We held a business dinner meeting at this location at the end of January. I had not been to a Morton's steakhouse before, but once I walked in the door, there was an immediate buzz in the bar area. People were relaxed and really enjoying themselves. I kept seeing great dishes pass by as we walked to our meeting room. The staff was all courteous, especially Paula, Margarita, and Demetirus. A shout-out to them for making the meeting experience great and my first experience excellent. I look forward to returning to Morton's here and at other locations. Balancing a comfortable atmosphere while setting the bar high for service isn't easy. It was refreshing to see it done so well! Every two or so years I find myself compelled to testify to what is my and my families favorite #1 steakhouse anywhere. We have been dining with Sean and his amazing crew at Mortons since they first opened probably 20 years ago. Not every meal has been perfect, but Sean and his teammates there have been. 100% of the time. No exception. And that is what makes this our favorite steakhouse/restaurant. The truth always comes out when times are difficult, when the unexpected happens. And the truth testifies to how amazing they are, all the time. And when I say not every meal has been perfect, close to 100% of the time they are. I am factoring in the human condition and the fact that so many humans are involved in providing the dining experience they set out to accomplish. They hold themselves to the highest of standards, both product wise and personally. It is truly extraordinary the level of success they enjoy, and provide for their customers. The true difference maker and what establishes them as our perennial #1 steakhouse/restaurant is that they make it as though we are coming home, eating at our own dining room table on a Saturday evening with all the family around. The food, conversation, company all coming together to highlight the beauty of the human condition. It is so rare for that to happen, and yet they pull it off very nonchalantly, routinely. Congrats to them, and a heads up to "corporate". It is similar to hen's teeth to find a "corporate" or "chain" restaurant as good as this. Are here last night with hubby. I ordered a Greek salad and crab cake for appetizer and they were delish. I was so full I could not eat my entree, which was lobster ravioli and it had hunks of real lobster meat on top. It was so so good. The lemon drip cocktail was absolutely awesome. I so enjoyed it. Hubby didn't order an appetizer but he had steak, spinach and mashed potatoes for his entree and it looked delicious as well. He also had a glass of premo wine for $28. We both shared the banana bread pudding with Caramel sauce and ice cream. It is a must have for dessert and it was so huge that we brought 3/4 of it home. My experience today is uplifting for several reasons. My mother passed away, a month ago, after a long illness. This Morton's Steakhouse has been my rainbow and sunshine, as I was searching for a good meal and support during my challenging situation with my 95 year old mother suffering from Alzheimer's. In spite and despite all the challenges my mother and I faced, the staff, was EMPATHETIC! The management, Tony, Phillip and my Superb service technician, JUSTIN, not only provided the best service, with delicious food for me and take out for my mother, who loved the mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, they were supportive in a humanitarian way with an embrace of support and patient ears to listen to my words of concern, anxiety for my labor of love. Last night, my family and I dined at Morton's Steakhouse in White Plains to celebrate my parents' 42nd wedding anniversary! The restaurant went above and beyond to make our night extra special. When calling to confirm the reservation, they asked for the names of my parents. When we opened our menus, we realized why!! They printed out personalized cards! During the meal, they also took a family photo of us and had it printed right there on the spot & put it in a protective case! The waiter Demitrius (spelling?) was extremely personable & knowledgeable! He said he was fairly new at this, but you wouldn't know! Our food was incredible! We started off with the bacon wrapped sea scallops, which I'm still dreaming about . My parents and I all got the 16oz NY strip break and my sister enjoyed the sea bass (not pictured). We all shared the Parmesan & truffle fries and asparagus (not pictured). We were all so full by the end, but our waiter insisted on bringing us a (giant) piece of key lime pie to share (on the house!). read more

They were poorly staffed and after waiting over 30 minutes with no one coming anywhere near us, the manager came by to fill the water glasses and we mentioned that we had been waiting for awhile. His response was a terse "Next time ask for your server". We walked out. We have dined at Morton's in various locations and this one is not to expectations. Went for the Lobster Special they had for the weekend. Wagyu Meatballs were Excellent! Steaks and Lobster were all good. Best part of Dinner was the Service! Adam was Excellent! Made a reservation 3 days in advance for the ribeye dinner special they advertised. They called me day of to let me know that they ran out of ribeyes. They would not substitute a different steak or rain check the special. We were told that we could come in and order from the regular menu. They were willing to make no concession except to move the reservation to Monday night instead of Sunday. I'd heard mixed reviews about this place from friends and was hoping the special would give us a first-hand experience. I guess I'll never know. read more

We recently celebrated our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Morton's White Plains. The event was fantastic! The evening began with cocktails and hors D'oeuvres which consisted of lamb chops, crab cakes and Jumbo shrimp cocktail (emphasis on Jumbo!). Dinner followed with onion soup, salad, filet mignon, lobster tail and smoked gouda potatoes. Fabulous! We followed up the dinner with a cocktail reception in the bar area which accommodated our large group so comfortably. The handsome dining room is certainly more comfortable than the old location across from The Westchester Mall. The acoustics are great as friends did not need to yell to hear one another on this crowded Friday night. Open bar area adds to the ambience here - all good. Steaks are high here (as in price) but you mostly get what you pay for. The 12oz Filet Mignon - ordered medium - arrived as requested. The New York Strip and Prime Ribeye were also selected. All steaks were enjoyed and finished. We especially liked the large and fresh "Bacon Wrapped Sea Scallops" appetizer. The "Jumbo Lump Crab Cake" was just acceptable. For dessert the Hot Chocolate Cake and the Key Lime Pie was fine but where was the Apple Crumb w/ice cream selection? A decent bottle of wine cannot be had for less than $100 here. The ambiance here is very dark but nice.. when we arrived we were sitted right away the waiter arrived and took our drink order but we waited quite a bit for the drinks. No bread on the table so we asked for it. Our food took a while to arrive but it was delicious. My steak was nicely seasoned.. overall it was a great experience but a bit over priced and slow service.. having said that, I do recommend it and would return since our food and drinks were really good. read more

Decided to come to Morton's on yet another date night and we had an "ok" time. We came on a Friday night so I was surprised to see the restaurant half way full. Our server was a bit slow considering how busy the restaurant was. We wanted additional drinks but she was no where to be found. When it was time for the check my boyfriend actually asked for another waiter to bring it! Despite issues with our server the food was great! The oysters were tasty and the steak was fantastic, perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the upgrades to the steak as well, not always an option at other steakhouses. My NYE plans are always pretty low key - my best friend's parents host a small party so for the past 10ish years that's where you would find me on December 31st. However, this same friend and I decided to switch it up a bit this year and go out to dinner. We didn't want to touch Manhattan because, you know, NYE, so we looked around in Westchester and ultimately landed on Morton's. I'm familiar with Morton's - I've been to their locations in Midtown, FiDi, and Great Neck. This Morton's in White Plains actually used to be on Bloomingdale Rd near Whole Foods but is now in a much better spot on Mamaroneck Ave in the heart of downtown. Walking in, the aesthetics were similar to the aforementioned spots - a large open space, a dark color scheme (mostly black and white), and an overall upscale aesthetic. The menu had typical steakhouse fare - hearty apps and salads, a small selection of white meats, rich sides, and of course lots of steak cuts. We had dinner reservations at 6:15, and since we had plans that included food later in the evening we decided to skip apps and dessert. We started with cocktails - I had the golden pineapple which was smooth and had great flavor. As far as food, the filet mignon was speaking to me, so I went with an 8oz cut. We also decided to get three sides: grilled asparagus, horseradish mashed potatoes, and lobster mac and cheese. The steak was great - really tasty and cooked to my liking. The sides were delicious - the asparagus were huge and easy to cut with a nice balsamic glaze on it. The mashed potatoes had a great texture and you could really taste the horseradish in them. The lobster mac and cheese was definitely my favorite - lots of lobster chunks including claws, an abundance of sauce to complement the pasta; it was delicious. Service was good - our waiter was really knowledgeable and swift to cater to any requests we had. Overall, I had a great early dinner at Morton's. This experience had affirmed my admiration for the brand, and I'll be sure to return in the future. read more

Morton's always presents a delicious, top notch meal with very attentive service. I commend them for having their restaurant week menu during the Time to Dine promotion. Many restaurants did not honor any special menu or prix fixe, since restaurant week was cancelled and much later in August HV offered Time to Dine, to encourage business. Morton's was wonderful and offered a delicious dinner. We had Filet mignon, 16 oz thick, and tender pork chop with a delicious mustard apricot chutney, and amazing bacon Mac and cheese. Went to what was my favorite steakhouse for New Years Eve. What an underwhelming experience. Because there's no kids meal my daughter got the chicken and my wife and I planned on splitting the 22 oz. bone in rib eye. With 2 appetizers ordered, a wedge salad and 3 sides this would have been more than enough food. My daughters chicken came first with 1 side, followed by a second side 5 minutes later, and then something that wasn't a 22 oz. Bone in rib eye. There we sat for 20 minutes until a steak you could probably get at Outback showed up, then 5 minutes later our 3rd side, lobster mac and cheese. We spent more time sitting around waiting for food than eating. Not good. I can't begin to tell how disappointing this was. I've held this restaurant in such high regard and always praised it when talking to friends. I guess it's time to find a new first choice for a steakhouse. read more

My most recent visit to Morton's in White Plains was for sure my best yet!! (And I've been going there for years!). From start to finish everything was spot on! Our reservation time was respected (no waiting at all!), they had our table ready for us. My boyfriend and I were there for a special occasion and they made sure they acknowledged that with a card and a printed picture of us to remember the night! The restaurant and bathrooms were spotless! Our waitress made sure we had everything we needed. The manager, Sean, made sure we were happy and taken care of and created an environment where we felt special! The food was spot on. The apps were tasty and hot, the steaks were cooked to our desired wellness and the sides went perfectly with our meal! I highly advise everyone to give this place a try.. We came here for a double date. The atmosphere was okay. It was pretty by the bar. The pig centerpiece was dirty and was an odd choice of table lighting. Our waiter was really sweet. It took awhile for our food to arrive. We enjoyed the bread. Our drinks were perfect. The lobster bisque wasn't the best I've had. It was bland and had one piece of lobster. The Caesar salad was good. My husband ordered the chicken Christopher which was similar to a chicken francese but it was crispy. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The truffle butter wasn't anything special though. Lacked flavor. The gouda and bacon au gratin should have been scalloped. It was SCOLDING HOT and took forever to cool down. Very flavorful though. I thought I'd be mind blown by the "legendary" molten cake but it tasted stale and the chocolate had a weird after taste. Would I come back here? Probably not. It was an ok dinner. read more
