When we got the bill gratuity is included for 8 people but there were just 2 of us. The bill was 149.75 and paid $200. We only received $30 back in cash... Horrible experience! The chef was the only good thing about tonite. One of the waiters came by with the cart and ran over the sleeve of my jacket and ripped it. When I stopped him from causing even more damage he did not seem to care. I spoke to the Manager who stated the restaurant would pay for a new jacket but did not seem to care about collecting all the information. Lastly, when it came to splitting the bill 4 ways everyone received a different amount. I mean anyone with a phone can split a bill 4 ways pretty easily. Came here for a bday lunch. 2nd time visiting Benihana, and this visit was pretty consistent with my prior one. They do offer a lunch special and the pricing was quite reasonable, especially relative to the dinner pricing. Ordered the hibachi chicken. It was actually a little dry, and I didn't love the teriyaki flavoring. I did try some steak as well which was a lot better, so if I was to return I would get that instead. The chef was fairly funny and he did a few cool tricks. Note that they do offer a great bday deal... believe it is $30 off. You need to sign up online and receive an email. Today was my first time trying Benihana. I've read reviews before so my expectations weren't high. We went on a Tuesday for lunch. The restaurant itself is very nice. It was super clean and nicely decorated. Bathrooms were spotless. We had to wait maybe 10 to 12 minutes before we were seated. The hostess was pleasant. Our waiter was being trained and he did an excellent job. He refilled lemonade without being asked. He paid lots of attention to our table. He made sure the kids had the children's chop sticks. I appreciated his attentiveness. Our cook was Emilio. He was great!! I see a lot of reviews speaking on how the food is tastelessand even my friend who I went with said the food is bland. Welllll, thank god for Emilio. Everything tasted great. He did a great job seasoning. We sat with a women who requested extra garlic butter on everything and I think that actually might be the key to having lots of flavor. I hadn't been to Benihana for at least 25 years and thought it would be nice to bring my kids, as we all love Hibachi. We had a reservation so it did not take long to be seated. Once seated it took an extremely long time for anyone to take our order, and the restaurant was extremely loud. Once greeted I was a bit disappointed to find that you only get noodles or rice, not both, as is customary at our local Hibachi restaurants. Our soup and salad arrived and not a server was to be found for the next 30 minutes. I saw lots of employees and a manager walking around, but nobody stopped at our table. The soup was extremely bland and after multiple attempts to try to ask someone for soy sauce, I got up and walked around for 10 minutes trying to locate our waitress. By the time we were able to get soy sauce the soup was already cold. The benihana mango lemonade tasted watered down, but their mojito was flavorful. The chef put on a good show and made sure it was interactive. He had a good sense of humor. Although it seemed to be a lot of people were present, the wait wasn't bad at all. We were seated fairly quickly. It did take a little bit of time to start preparing the entree, but I'm assuming it was because there weren't too many chefs that night. Overall, the ambiance was nice, and the staff was nice. But the women's bathroom was lacking in cleanliness a bit. They have a spacious parking lot with plenty of spots. It was crowded upon our arrival and were told we'd would have to wait 25/30 minutes. We only waited 15 minutes.
