    Salmon avocado roll
    Raymond K.

This is a nice teriyaki place! Very similar to Sarku with food options. Sushi rolls are fairly good too like the shrimp tempura or salmon avocado. I don't get rolls too often but my salmon avocado came with large pieces of salmon and warm rice, which is quite good. Chicken and beef teriyaki are excellent. Salmon teriyaki not quite as good. Shrimp is solid too. Prices are pretty reasonable with chicken teriyaki being $9.69 as of 11/25. And you get one free after 6 visits with this stamp card. Chicken poke bowl with ponzu sauce was pretty tasty good. Not sure if salmon poke bowl is raw or not, but other protein options for the poke bowl are cooked Moderately sized seating area and friendly owner/manager

    Chicken teriyaki and white rice

It's not bad the chicken is pretty good and the white rice was a little dry but I still ate it. Overall it's not bad if you are in the strip mall and want something other than chipotle gril. There is seating but it's limited but the tables were clean. Service is just walk up place your order and wait. So it's nothing special but it's not bad for the price

    Chicken dumplings

The dumplings I ordered were very over-cooked. The photo they showed on the menu was not consistent with what I was given (see my photo attached). Their photo looked like they would be boiled but they deep fried them. The chicken teriyaki dish was ok. The staff seemed nice.

New quick eat in spot in S. Plainfield strip mall. Was pretty busy for grand opening week, not a long wait for food. It's laid out similar to what we get from Chipotle/Cava... walk up, wait in a line, order, wait for your food by the soda machine and leave or sit at the tables in a small dining room. Spicy Tuna Roll - Good ... didn't really see crunch flakes as advertised but still enjoyable. Chicken Teriyaki & Noodles - Ok ...chicken was as expected, flavorful and tender but noodles were just ok. Will go for rice next time. Star of the show - Fried Dumplings ... I'll take please! Will be back to try some other stuff like their Poke bowls!

    Chicken Bento

Ordered takeout from here. You order at the counter and everything is pretty much made fresh when you put your order in. We ordered the chicken bento which comes with salad, gyoza and vegetable eggrolls. We also ordered the angry dragon, volcano and tempura California rolls. The chicken bento is the way to go if you want variety. The salad was crispy and fresh. The gyoza and eggrolls were okay...tasted like it may have been from the frozen food section of the grocery store. The star of the dish was definitely the chicken teriyaki. I love that they use dark meat because it's way more juicier and tasty than white meat and it's harder to overcook. The teriyaki sauce is a nice balance of sweet and salty and goes perfect with the noodles or rice. The sushi rolls surprisingly all tasted fresh and exceeded my expectations for a fast casual take out spot. They were not cheap but the portion size seemed fair. Overall it's a very good fast casual Japanese take out spot. I would definitely come here again if I'm craving teriyaki.

PROs - value for money , location and food CONs - wait time .. First timer . Good location. Very close to many other restaurants ! They had a board outside saying that teriyaki was 9.5$ or something . I thought - why not give it a try .. It was surely value for money . There were seats inside to sit and eat. Ambience was ok. Not very good but not bad too. Best thing about this restaurant is the price of food . Very affordable and not that expensive . A box of teriyaki with rice and salad costs just 9.8$ .. less than 10$ ! Salad didn't taste good . Had to throw it out . Teriyaki with rice was really good. Everything is made fresh once u order . So it takes sometime to get our Order . Apart from wait time ; this place is good .

Was looking for a place to grab a quick dinner in the area and passed this option. They still have a Grand Opening sign outside, but based on yelp reviews look like its been open over a year. My favorite thing about this place is that they give a lot of chicken. I think its in line with double chicken at other places. Chicken is juicy, and they added a good amount of sauce (but not excessive). I was pretty full after. Service is fairly quick. Large parking lot.

The teriyaki chicken and beef were flavorful. Quick service where you can dine in or take it to go. Ordering is simple, the menu is displayed clearly, and there's a descent amount of indoor seating. The portions are plentiful! We also received a punchcard where after a certain # of orders, your next is free. Great for a casual, quick bite.

I ordered the Angry Dragon roll, and not only was the service fast, but my roll was prepared from the freshest ingredients and tasted absolutely delicious - no soy sauce needed! I opted to take out my order rather than dine in. Still it was nice to have the option. Their dining room is a decent size large enough to accommodate a medium crowd. It's nice, new and clean inside.

Gave this place a try after seeing the restaurant next door had a big line. The food was on par with any other fast food Japanese place I've tried in the past. They were efficient with getting orders taken and done fast during the lunch rush. I got the teriyaki chicken bento box and it had plenty of food for one sitting. I was disappointed that the garden salad had a creamy dressing instead of the light ginger dressing I usually see.

I've eaten at Ottoyee for months now, and each experience has been incredibly delicious. However, the only thing is that the wait time can run very long. Not for the food to arrive, but for placing the order. We tried to get the attention of the waiter on staff multiple times, but was either ignored or they were behind the screen attending to something else. The wait time was around 15-20 minutes, but this is likely attributed to the small staff. Otherwise though, they were incredibly kind and knowledgeable of the menu and we still had a delicious experience as usual.

I so wanted to love this place, and was so excited to try it when reading the menu. Otoro? Ramen?…read moreGyudon? It all sounded like the perfect restaurant, but I'm really hesitant to return. Upon entertaining on a weekend evening, there were a few tables with patrons but not too busy. The restaurant did seem a bit understaffed with only one person taking orders / bringing food out, making it difficult to flag down this one person to successfully take our order and ask for anything additional throughout the night. Gyudon: for the price, we were really surprised at how small of a portion this was. It was not only in a small bowl, but the meat was layered on top perfectly deceiving you to think that there was more than there actually was. The majority of this dish was rice, and with limited sauce at that. As displayed on the menu images it was to be served with a runny egg, but unfortunately we got a fully cooked one (disappointing, as we were looking for something to mix with the rice!) Sushi: We got a 3 rolls and they were just alright. They were pretty small in size, with less rice than I'm used to (which is something I do like - I would rather more fish than rice!) With us getting spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy scallop - they all kind of tasted the same, so I wish the fish wasn't as heavily masked with spicy mayo. Ramen: I got the black garlic ramen, and it wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. I've purchased fresh ramen packages in the supermarket before and it tasted just like that, so it made me disappointed knowing I could achieve the same at home. The soup itself was extremely rich and fatty, and the charsiu had no flavor whatsoever leaving much to be desired. The main reason I'm rating this so low is upon having my last bites of sushi, I could tell something was off. I don't recall which specifically I had but I made a statement that it was extremely fishy and off putting. Fast forward later that night, I was hunched over the toilet vomiting with stomach pain - and I can deduct that the sushi was the culprit. I might consider trying Ottoyee again due to the great deals they have listed on food delivery apps, but the sushi quality (quite literally) put a bad taste in my mouth.

The little train cars that bring your food are super fun, and the conveyor belt has food as well and of course the robots that bring you food as well. This is all you can eat so you pay 1 price for everything. I thought Ramen would be more expensive but it's not, it's included! I think only drinks and desserts are extra. This place had a lot of options and way more than sushi so if you are not a sushi person, there's plenty. To be honest, the mozzarella sticks were some of the best I ever had. I also love Kura sushi which is a very similar revolving sushi bar place so I am comparing it to that. This place relies more on the tablet ordering than the conveyor belt while Kura relies on the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt here had some things labeled, most of it was unlabeled which was a little annoying. Everything at Kura is labeled. Kura is pricing per plate while this place is all you can eat - which I do prefer. I think this place has way more selection while Kura has more or less the same items. I still love this place but overall, I do prefer Kura more. Both places definitely have pros and cons though. The service was great as well. Everyone was friendly and knowledgable. Regardless, I will be back and would recommend.

I came with a party of 4 and was only allowed to order every 5 minutes, as the iPad will time out and not allow you to order again. Understand this might be due to food waste or over ordering. The conveyor belt can use signs, and at some point of times it was only fruits or seaweed salad spinning around. Standouts include salmon, squid and scallops. Concept is cute and restaurant is bright and clean, but I think it becomes tough at an all you can eat when you have to keep waiting to eat or order. Especially if you come hungry!
