I discovered this hidden gem last week and already visited about 4 times. The lady at the front is very welcoming, the food is very fresh, large portions and very favorable. This establishment is only for take outs. So far I have tried the chicken teriyaki, the shrimp teriyaki and the shrimp hibachi and I give all three a 5 out of 5. The sauces are also very flavorful compared to other hibachi restaurants I have tried. I highly recommend giving this place a try and it won't disappoint. read more

This is my third time here and I'm still impressed with the quality of food and service here. Bento box salmon was superb. Good for two people with another roll of Angel and amazing roll. I like Angel over amazing roll. The texture and the mix of ingredients is better to me. I also like mango salmon roll. I always get this roll also. The fish is fresh and they're generous with was I and ginger. The only thing I don't like is the salad, the dressing is too watery and no ginger taste. One of my favorite neighborhood Sushi place!! I am not a big sushi eater but I love their chicken tempura and avocado rolls for a quick lunch. I have also tried their chicken fried rice and that is pretty good as well. Good place, good people, good service and looks clean. read more

Great sushi, especially for the lunch special. I've been going here for years, and the lunch special (3 rolls and a miso soup) is a great deal that me and my family always get. Delicious. The food here is just that good. I had gotten the 3 maki roll lunch special and everything was just delicious and satisfied my sushi cravings. You can get anything out of the regular roll menu. But note that the spider roll is an additional $1 (i would just stick to shrimp tempura, i couldn't really tell it was crab). The worker there was super nice over the phone and in person. This is such a cute little spot that I've been going to since HS but they switched owners. Ordered in advance and picked it up. Fresh food, friendly owner, clean and convenient location. It's easy to park.

It is a very small establishment but very clean and accommodating. They have a side parking lot which is nice because it's kind of on a busy street. The sushi is decent size and I LOVE that they didn't go hard with the rice. For me personally more meat the better with a little slither of rice. Well this is the same place that used to be Fuji Sushi. Well a fresh perspective on a restaurant with the same interest is always an interesting take. Fuji was a very tasty place and the owner, Tony, was a nice guy as well so it was easy to make it SP's best sushi spot. Now that Hana has transformed the menu and taken the spot like with changing the simple thing it is even easier to place an order. Easier as in the food has become even tastier. I haven t had a California roll since I tried sushi when it started to make its appearance in like 87'. I now have a 3 year old daughter and she loves California rolls. Even tho I hate the West coast and there stupid gang hand signs, my daughter loves the fake ass crab and avocado. Of course she has a little tummy so she doesn't finish her chow. When I tasted her Cali roll I was blown away by the flavor and creaminess of the avocado. Well if they can make a simple California roll that well I must go in further. I try the hibachi and it is very flavorful and amazing. Along with taking over a sushi place they have added more dishes and new rolls. Everything I have ordered since they have changed owners has been really good. I have also spoke to the head of the house and she had told me to text her if I want rare Items such as fatty tuna, monk fish liver, big eye tuna or tuna collar. She says the boss has no problem ordering that stuff. When it was Fuji I always got the excuse that he can't sell the expensive stuff. Well I am glad that we now have a place that will experiment. By the way today I ordered Tuna and White Tuna sashimi and I got the biggest slices of sashimi ever. Keep it up Hana!!!! Update: February 5 2020 I get a call from the owner because you just have to ask and they will let you know when they get special items, well they knocked it out of the park. Placed an order from here yesterday for dinner. Got the maki dinner combo and steamed gyoza. For the combo I got the spider roll, shrimp tempura roll, and California roll. All were fresh and delicious including the gyoza. Lady at the cash register was very nice as well. Will certainly be ordering from here again! read more

Just looking for something to get delivered one night and found this place. Menu is massive but unique, and the prices are ridiculously good, especially for appetizers in my opinion. I ended up eating the salmon teriyaki dinner over the course of that afternoon and next morning because of how much food I got. I'm new in the area, so this is on my way to my house. Every time I pass this place it looks like a hole on the wall, but I decided to give it a try. When we walked in, service was actually nice! Some sushi places I've been to really lack on the customer service section. All of the help actually looked like they wanted to be there. The food selection was great. A whole lot of regular rolls and a huge section of special rolls. I do have to say they don't have one of those "all you can eat" deals, which I was kinda disappointed about. If anything matters in this review, it's this: The food quality was so fresh. I enjoyed EVERY roll that I ordered. One thing I have to say that didn't give it the 5 stars is the bathroom. It's almost inconvenient to go to the bathroom, because the only bathroom you have to basically go in their kitchen. I would definitely recommend going here. This little spot is a hidden gem. I went in on a rainy night to get some food for the fam based on all of the good reviews. I've been living in the area for years and knew there was a sushi spot here, but never saw any good reviews of the previous place. They are under new ownership and are now Hana Sushi. This place is SMALL, but you would never believe the quality that they put out. I got the steak and chicken hibachi, fried rice, and some sushi. The spicy kani is really good. They mix the sauce and kani per order so it is always fresh. The fried rice was excellent and I ended up eating both portions. Thankfully my wife is on a no rice kick right now so I got away with it. This place is hidden and you'd go right by. there is a doorway (no visible signs that its the entrance) that leads in to the restaurant -- its more a side door really to the hong kong supermaket. i ordered sashimi was very fresh, and my friend oyakodan, both very good and big portion. THe waitress was very nice and pleasant. go early place gets very busy especially on weekends...when most people are there because they shop at supermarket. read more

Atmosphere : the restaurant is very small. It could probably only fit 15 people at most it's that small. If they put a little more effort into make their small area look nice, it would make a huge difference. Two words when I first walked in Small and Cramped . Service : no problems with the service. Being a small place the owner was very attentive, always asking if we needed anything .plus it also helped that we were the only people in the establishment. Food: All I have to say, it was ok. That's the honest truth. Mediocre at best. Nothing to me really stood out and made me want to say wow . Conclusion : I honestly was hoping that the food going to be good. I wanted it to be , but not the case. I saw that it had a yelp rating of 4 out of 5 stars which was the only reason I decided to check it out to begin with. I feel that this place should be rated 3 stars at most. Would I go back here? Maybe not. I would take the time out of my way to go somewhere else that's better. If you want a quick sushi fix then I say yes this place is good, but if you're looking for quality , I'll pass on this place . Sorry to sound harsh, but that's the truth. I was craving sushi but unfortunately all my usual spots were closed for the afternoon. Then I came across this hidden gem. I got there at 4 and they just opened for the dinner rush. I was the first and only one inside. The owner was there and he was super friendly! The place is small but it's a cute little nook. I wasn't familiar with the menu so I ordered the "big Jeff" bc it's supposedly a customer favorite. It was okay, it wasn't great but it wasn't bad. I'm more upset that it was $10 and wasn't exceptional but it'll cool. I plan to come back again, and maybe with some friends. read more

Wanted to try a new sushi place so ordered some takeout and man was the food good! I got the edamame and couple of rolls one being the twins roll. Everything was delish! I told my friend about how good the food was and we decided to dine in. The place itself is really small but it was clean and comfortable. We went overboard and ordered way too many rolls but everything was so good. The staff was really friendly and it looks like it's a family owned place. I also believe it's byob but we didn't bring anything. I was overhearing someone talking to the girl working who was the owners daughter and she was on her spring break from college and working at the restaurant. She's a class act! I really enjoyed it here. Its a small establishment (about 6 tables and a sushi bar. They seem to have a loyal customer base. Almost all of the patrons were familiar with the staff. They frequently run specials. Mondays they have buy one roll and get the 2nd half off. Lucky for me the day I strolled in just happened to be a Monday. So I got 2 rolls for like 6 or 7 dollars. They were very friendly and the food sushi was good. They refilled my tea cup whenever it got low. My only gripe is that I had to ask for extra wassabi which isn't really much of a grip. Very nice place and very nice people. I may make this a Monday night ritual. read more

Small place, around 5 tables. The people are very friendly, food comes out pretty quickly, but the sushi is just decent. Any rolls with "tempura flakes" sort of feel like biting into sawdust. Ask for the edamame to be unsalted if possible, ours came out with salt just dumped on. read more

Our regular sushi house closes for just over a month every summer, and every summer, we find ourselves missing our sushi! This year, I was determined to find another semi-local sushi house that would be somewhat comparable to our #1 spot. After testing out two places (who will remind nameless because BARF), we stumbled upon Fuji Sushi House and it was truly our lucky number 3! I don't know that we will be going back to our main sushi place after having found Fuji - this might be better than our original hot spot! read more

Not as good as when it was Fuji Sushi. If the reviews are older, they are for the old place. It has switched owners and the name has changed, and unfortunately it's not as good. Hopefully they will improve with time. This is the closest sushi place to where I live. Wishing them success. read more
