We've gone here twice in the last 5 years with our most recent visit being on a Saturday with a reservation at 5:45pm. We were seated right away and in one of the back rooms which was nice in terms of it being a bit more quiet. Our chef, Raphael, was probably the best chef we've ever had at Benihana (this location & others), everything was cooked great! They changed their menu and prices definitely increased from when we went for my birthday in 2024 compared to my friend's birthday this year. We all got the 5-course meal, 2 with the filet, one with the teriyaki chicken, and the other hibachi steak, we also all got fried rice but 2 for it with Diablo sauce which they rave about (when in restaurant & outside of).

The service was great! The Chef was amazing and funny and we had a great time! We even got our picture taken, printed out and they put it in a little frame for us! This was my first time here, my friend had been there before, but I was definitely impressed. Prices aren't bad either and the food was EXCELLENT! Thank you all for a great time!

Pretty standard hibachi restaurant with good times and good food. This must be the new Chuck E. Cheese as we even went on a Monday night to celebrate my nephew's birthday and just about every other table was a birthday celebration as well. Most table and grill areas were filled with kids for birthday celebrations. That being said, it was pretty chaotic inside with kids running around and food all over the floor and loud (to be expected). Our chef was super fun and I think that's one really unique thing about hibachi restaurants as each of them have their own personality and tricks. He was so great with our family and my nephew and we had a lot of fun. The food was just as good as any other one that I've been to and a good portion.

I was dredding to come back from bad experience from last month with burnt food and exorbitant price over but still had $40 gift card that I didnt want to throw away. Happy hour all day at the lounge triggered and here I am. Hoping for the better dining experience. When I walked in at 5 30 pm, it was mostly empty at the lounge. No one was around to greet. You just sit anywhere. Very disorganized and looked dirty. Dirty tables, floors and boxes here and there. See pics. Our waiter was definitely new to this business. He was nice but way he handled things, definitely a newbie Ordered few things. Yes, it's HH menu pricing. Sake was $9 instead of $16. I had a choice of ordering from the HH menu or from the regular ones. While waiting for the food, I can see the bartender fixing an old fashioned drink. She grabs large cube of ice, bare handed. Not once, but twice in a row. How gross! This place definitely needs better management, shaking up things from cleaner restaurant, better food prep and better training. Due to the food taking way too long, manager comped us for the roll and the burger. Ended up paying with a credit card and now I still have $40 gift card. Yikes. Do I need to go back for another dreaded dinner at this lousy place or just throw away the gift card?

Such a fun experience took our daughters friend who had never been & it was truly delightful to see it again brand new through a child eyes. They have a new rewards program a plus!! The food was amazing the show was great & our table mates were a lot of fun. Service was bustling .... Zero complaints

This isn't for the Denver location. This is for the Broomfield location. After being seated, 3 of the 4 plates were dirty. My husband asked to speak with the manager, he didn't come up and address the situation. My husband walked up after the meal and mentioned the ordeal to the him and he said "well did your plates get fixed" to which my husband responded "would you know?" When spending over $400 for a meal You expect a little respect and class. When my husband tried talking to the manager about the situation, his response was "I have a lot of people here." This restaurant has gone beyond downhill. This isn't a McDonalds, and for the price point you'd expect more; especially from management."

Big score on shrimp because she is the only one that likes them.

The neighborhood that it is in has gone down hill. We had reservations for 6:30 but didn't get seated for almost an hour after that. I do like the family style seating and we had two other couples at our table that were really nice. The chef was fun and we love the style of cooking, we brought our kids for their birthday but with food price increases the quality and amount of food was not worth the $300 bill. This place was always fun and exciting to take a date too or meet friends when you were younger but I think I have aged out of the target market. By all means give them a try but there is some sticker shock at the end of the night.

George was a great chef and the food was delicious and it was awesome to sit with people who don't look like you but aren't afraid to sit at the table with you and talk to one another !!! That's how community should be: have everyone at the table!! The ambiance was fun, happy and inviting! Yah!!

When your kids are requesting to go eat somewhere besides fast food land, you jump at the opportunity in hopes of having a more refined meal. We had an earlier reservation, ended up sitting with another nice family at the table, and had a good time watching the chef parade the food up and down the grill with his many tricks. The menu is lengthy with many add on's so pay attention to what you're ordering as we got hit with additional fees for items we thought were included. Food at its best is a 3.5 out of 5.0, but in all reality most are going for the atmosphere and not the quality of the food.

Our family has a new birthday tradition - whoever's birthday it is, gets to pick the restaurant to celebrate as a group! With my husband's birthday 2 days before mine (and 5 years.) we tend to celebrate together, and this year was no exception! With hibachi on the brain and 8 of in tow, we made our way to Benihana - the OG hibachi joint - to celebrate turning another year older, wiser, and hungrier, apparently! Ha! SPACE: Broken into two rooms, the dining room and hibachi room, the space is large! We were obviously there for hibachi, so we made our way to the left once we entered and seated at a spacious yet intimate table providing just the right amount of seating for our group. SIPS: the menu is massive, offering everything from fresh brewed tea and soda to their extensive offerings at the bar. Being a bubbles girl, I opted for a bottle of San Pellegrino while others sipped on soda's and beers on tap. SERVICE + SUSTENANCE: This is where Benihana truly shines. While the menu offers other house made dishes, hibachi is what they are known for, so we all chose the 5-course hibachi meal.and a show! Our chef proudly introduced himself, had us laughing and mesmerized by his talents the entire evening - in between eating courses of the most perfectly cooked rice, shrimp, steak and more! Portions are massive, so come hungry - or prepared to take home to-go boxes like us! All of us enjoyed the hibachi experience and had the best evening! SPECIALS: Lunch is offered at a lower price than dinner, but let's face it. Hibachi is an experience and worthy of the $50/per person price tag. Come here! PRO TIP: Make reservations online or simply call the restaurant itself. These types of celebrations are their bread and butter, so if you are seeking a true hibachi experience, plan, because walking in and expecting a seat, it's really an option.

You won't find fancy sushi here or fusion cooking here, but rather tasty home cooked style classic Japanese dishes. Dishes like Japanese curry, oyakodon, and other donburi and noodle dishes. Having been here multiple times, I cannot recommend this place enough for a homey style meal. No joke, each meal here makes you feel warm inside, like a good home cooked meal. It's comparable to many meals I've had traveling through out real Japan. The flavors are simple, but each dish is well prepared while emphasizing conform over fancy preparation. You just cannot go wrong with any dish here, though I'm partial to the donburi, the green tea soba, and the hot pot. And if the meal is not enough, there is a beautiful garden to enjoy. If you catch it at the right time, the cherry blossom in the spring is beautiful and transport you right to Japan. Overall, Domo is a place that I'm always down to visit. It's warm, comfy, and nostalgic, and I just know I'll miss it when it's gone.

The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the shrimp shumai had a strong fishy smell and taste that didn't seem very fresh--I couldn't eat more than one. For my entrée, I ordered the nabeyaki soup with ramen noodles and chicken, and it was excellent. The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

Lately it feels like a lot of restaurants are charging more while giving less, and it's getting harder to find places that actually care about the customer experience. Unfortunately, this was another one of those experiences. We ordered three side dishes and three drinks, and the bill came out to around $100. Two of the three sides were served cold, the dumplings at least came out hot, but they were pretty mediocre and nothing I'd order again and drinks were extremely over priced. The waitress was fine, no real issues there, but it did feel like the food may have been sitting in the kitchen too long before it hit the table even though the place was empty. At the end of the day, it's hard to justify paying that kind of money for cold, underwhelming food, then feeling awkward about the tip because the experience just wasn't good. I won't be back. If I had known this is what the experience was I would have definitely gone somewhere else. As an added bonus I felt like crap afterwords, I think it was because of poor quality ingredients. My aim in writing these reviews is to highlight the restaurants and businesses that truly take care of their customers, to give people a heads up about the ones that clearly do not prioritize quality or the customer experience, and to express myself in a world where it often feels like there is very little room to speak honestly about paying top dollar for mediocre experiences. Very disappointing.

Despite the high price point, having no soy sauce ramekins, a terrible drink (only ordered a margarita because the other cocktail options are limited), and nonexistent servers- I was just hoping for the food to be correctly brought out and tasty. Nope. Didn't get that either. When they brought the food out, it wasn't what we ordered, and our server vanished. After waiting for a long time, while being very hungry, I ate of one of the pieces of the salmon nigiri (there were 3 of us and only 2 pieces of the correct nigiri- I needed to eat something!). When the server reappeared she was busy on the hibachi side doing something (we were the only table in the entire restaurant), didn't check on us, so I got up to go talk to her about the mix-up. She was VERY confused, but after re-explaining multiple times, she brought us the additional yellowtail nigiri that we originally ordered along with the salmon roll that you can see on the photo I included. After seeing what our (not so cheap) roll looked like, I was pretty much over this place and wanted to just leave. Our bill was high and included the salmon nigiri that we did not order. Once again I had to get up to go talk to the server, and explain the situation despite us having already discussed it. She instantly said, "But you ate it!", and that is what ultimately led to me writing a review rather than just looking ahead and never coming back. At this point, I am arguing with this woman trying to explain that we came to eat a meal, were hungry, couldn't find the server and inevitably ate 1 of 2 pieces of salmon nigiri that we did not order since there were 3 people and only 2 pieces of what we did order. She did not agree with me, so I left it at: we are not paying for the salmon, you can bring me the updated bill. It's rare (for me) to experience a server be so argumentative, and I've never seen sushi so poorly rolled. This place isn't it. I never want to give a business a bad review, but this is unfortunately warranted. Try literally anywhere else as there are multiple other sushi restaurants within 10 minutes of this place.
