The experience I had here has blown me away. In a very very bad way. I had never been into a Benneton before and for a first time experience it was shady and awful. Me and a friend were trying things on and the owner kept telling us he'd give us a great deal right. That doesn't sound too bad does it?! The vinyl jacket we were both looking at had a benneton price tag of $256.00 on it. The owner said "I'll give it to you for $99.00 so I thought that was an amazing deal. Only thing is, I didn't realize that the jacket wasn't a benneton jacket, it was a Ci Sono jacket. They don't retail for more than $60.00. I also bought a women's button up shirt. The original price was supposed to be $29.00 he charged me $60.00 all the while telling me how great everything looks on me and how "pretty" I am. . This man also cut the price tags off the merchandise once I purchased it and said there is a no return policy. As soon as I got home I realized something wasn't right. So I researched the brands. I then called the store to give them an opportunity to make things right and he rudely objected. I am now contacting Benneton's corporate and franchise accounts because he misrepresents the brand. And is a total scam artist. I also contacted my credit card company to dispute and investigate. Do not purchase anything from this store. He seems nice and charming at first. Beware! Do not trust this store or it's owner, he is dishonest. The majority of items he sells are not United Colors of Benetton. He told me an item I purchased was a brand of Benetton which it wasn't and lied about the size. When I asked for a refund while the sale was still pending on my credit card, he refused and told me that the owner would think he was stealing if he processed a refund. When I stood my ground, he became aggressive and said that he would call the police if I did not leave his store. Reading other reviews, I see that this is not the first time something like this has happened. If you are local to the area, do not get taken for a ride by this store and it's owner. I just tried to find a nice shirt for myself, and the owner told me that he was too tired to fold the clothes, so he told me to leave. Really impatient We were only looking at the second piece of clothing. He told me, " Why do you keep on unfolding the clothes and being picky! It's only $29.99." Beware, never go there! One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a retail store! True to other reviews on here of this horrible person who calls himself a business owner. The level of rudeness he displayed towards my mother and wife were absolutely unacceptable!! To ask a customer to leave simply because they are looking at your merchandise because as he said "I don't want to fold clothes for people who are not going to buy anything!" Even though my wife was in there to buy a pair of slacks. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs!!! Some people should not be in business and this guy is a perfect example of it. Worst store ever! NEVER going back! We were treated with the utmost disrespect by an older male salesperson. Completely unacceptable. When we found a shirt that we liked, we picked it up from the table, looked at it, then put it back on the table. That's when the salesperson came over to us and insisted in very angry manner that we must neatly fold the clothes back. He then basically told us to leave the store. We were the only customers at that time, but I am certain he treats other customers in the same disrespectful manner and he should not be working for Benetton or for any retail stores. The worst customer service ever! Like other reviewers stated, the older male salesperson has no idea what is a proper customer service. I live in South Bay and before going up there I called the store with a very detailed description what I am looking for (I had a Benetton piece that was stolen, so I was looking for the same exact replacement). He informed me that for sure they have it in stock, and so I came there and guess what? Not even a similar jacket! All the negative reviews are completely accurate. We live in Sausalito. My husband recently walked in to try on a jacket. It didn't fit, and he said sorry, maybe I'll come back another day and look again. At that point, the guy (owner?) told him not to bother ever coming back and to tell his friends and neighbors not to come either. Sounds surreal, but now that I've read all the other negative reviews, I get that this guy is just a world class jerk. No idea what he gets out of business that has no customers, but I'd love to see this store leave town! read more

I was there last weekend with my wife and my little daughter. As soon as we enter the store, a women "greets" us by chasing us pretty much everywhere. Then she starts pulling stuff from the shelves and asking us: "do you want this" (pair of horrible pants) or "do you want this one" another pair of horrible pants". Besides being literally attacked, I also had to politely say no. And what this women says? "WHAT NO NO NO", "YOU SAY ALWAYS NO NO NO". She was kind of yelling. Can you believe it. It is Incredible to see that still in 2007 in a very reputable apparel franchise in Sausalito California (not someplace) we see this behavior. Not even in Negril Jamaica is like that (well, sort of). I promised the woman I would have written a review about her and the store. Here you are. I hope this helps the store's business. As far as I am concerned, I will never set foot in that place again. Besides, all Benetton shops I have visited in the US so far have disappointing merchandise if compared to what you find in Italy (you will also find higher prices in Italy) , but that's only my personal opinion. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would, the customer service there is atrocious! I asked the salesperson there (an older male with an accent) if they had slacks for my husband in size 29x34 since it's hard to find; he immediately told me "no, no 29, have a good day, goodbye". I was completely startled because I wasn't sure if there was just a language barrier and maybe he misunderstood me so I asked again if he had anything in size 29; he again told me that they don't have 29, only 59 and up...this douche bag thought that I came in to the store to heckle for a price when the outfit I was wearing cost more than what he makes in a day! I finally said I meant the SIZE; by the time he got that through his thick skull it was too late, I was not interested in paying this a##hole a cent of my money. I was sure to give him a piece of my mind before I left and I reported him to Benetton customer service. I did shop European stores for most of my life and Americans as well but the cuts that Benetton carries are strange made probable for aliens as I noticed shocked when I got home with my son's sweeter. Above all returns and refunds are processed by the owner Hertzel only an elusive person that is never present. If you are disabled like me and will obviously and most certainly return your unfit merchandise the process will probably put you closer to six feet under if ever completed at all. So try this highly recommended masochistic prices if you have a taste for it. read more

I am Italian and used to shop at Benetton in Italy all the time. I was at the Benetton store in Sausalito with my husband on a Saturday around 6 pm, so I guess they were about to close. As soon as we went in, this woman started to chase us around pulling stuff from the shelves pushing us in a very aggressive way. My husband tried on a couple sweaters but decided not to buy them. As soon as we said we would not buy anything the woman turned away and did not even respond when we thanked her for her time and said good bye. We found that very rude and unprofessional. We have bought from that store a couple of times when that woman was not there, but whenever she was there it was very uncomfortable because she was always so pushy and aggressive. After this latest experience we think we will never shop there again. read more

I have never been treated as rudely as the owner of this business! I received a gift from my girlfriend from this store but the sizes are not normal here so I wanted to get a different size. The owner procceded to yell at me and hang up on me before I could even talk to him and explain what happened saying, "we do not accept returns because winter is over and I have no use for it anymore!!!" I can promise you I will tell everyone I know not to come to your store and I can also promise you will not be in business much longer because that is not how you treat people. I signed on to yelp for the first time just so I can leave this store negative feedback. I feel obligated to let people know how bad their service was. I was just browsing in the store, and as soon as I walked in, this middle-aged woman, who owns the store, kept telling me that the coats were on sale--like a few times while I was looking at other things. When I finally got to the coats, I decided I wanted to try them on--just b/c I liked the style. She got me the coat and started to help me put it on (being Chinese myself, I noticed that's a manipulative way a lot of salespeople in Asian countries adopt to make you feel like they are providing good service, but it really is to make you feel bad if you don't buy), zipping and buttoning me up (very in my face, and yes, very uncomfortable..I could smell her breath she was that close). That was tolerable, but I started to feel like she was expecting me to purchase it, just by trying it on and liking it. She laid the two colors on the table, and said, "Which one you like?" I said, definitely not the red coat, but that I am not certain that I going to buy the navy one. Prior to that, she also tried to sell me the coat by saying she won't charge me tax. It was tempting, but as I started telling her I needed more time to think about it, she started to lose it, saying things like, "You don't need to tell me what your reasons are, b/c I don't need to know. If you want to buy, you buy. If not, why let me think you want to buy.." etc. So calmly and professionally, I said that what she was telling me was inappropriate & extremely rude. She got even more defensive, and you can prob picture what happened next...well, I left really sad b/c I was really thinking I would buy the coat after all, until she completely blew up like that. Anyway, save yourselves some grief and don't even go there. Unless you want to buy everything you touch in the store. read more

I only gave it one star because I had to. This guy is overbearing and his practices are pretty much a scam. First, he followed me around the store and I felt pressured to buy something. Then I get home to realize ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There was no mention of this during check out nor was there a sign at the register. When I got home and looked at the items I realized he ripped off the price tags. I presume to make it even more difficult to return items. I've never gone to a clothing store where they rip off the price tags. Also, some of the clothes were missing prices and he said he wasn't sure of the price. He rang me up and the price was high (I should've said something but he is intimidating and I just wanted to get out of there). Well, of course the receipt does not have an itemized list of costs and the tags are removed so there is no way to check unless I go back. I am going to go back but I am not looking forward to it. Please don't buy from this store if you love Benetton clothes, buy from another store. I have nothing against their clothes, I love their clothes but this store is a disaster! Last week, I saw a picture on a fashion blog about a cape jacket that Benetton is offering and I called the San Francisco store first, they told me they don't have that particular coat that I was looking for. Then, I call this store, the owner of the store picked up the phone and told me they have this jacket (even though they didn't), and I ordered it right away and had him mail it to me. He charged my credit card the same day and did not sent the jacket to me until the following Thursday ( I saw the date on the post office stamp). When I was so excited while I was opening the box, I realized he sent me the wrong jacket. And oh my gosh, the worst part starts from here!!! Check this out, I called the store right away, the sales people there told me they can't do anything for me, because I have to talk to the owner. And that they don't accept returns, only exchanges. However, the owner is always not there. And then I called back and said to the sales people that I like to exchange it to the right jacket. So sales people said ok, send it back, we will do an exchange for you. I sent it back right away, nobody called. And then I called after confirming the shipment is delivered on the post office website, the sales people still say they didn't receive it, and the right jacket they are suppose to reserve for me is sold to somebody else. At that point, I just called my Credit Card company to file a dispute. But the story is not over. Two days later, I received a phone call from the Owner and told me he sent the right jacket to me. And then the worst part is, when I opened the box, it is the right jacket, however, they gave me a slip saying they have issued a store credit for the price difference. FYI (the jacket they charged me was $250, and the one I wanted from the beginning was $119) They would not give the money back to me even it was not my fault that they sent the wrong jacket. And that I had to chase them all over to get the jacket sent. At this point, I don't even want the jacket anymore. I just want to file the dispute and get my money back. read more
