Yeesh. Some of these reviews are scary. I had a different (positive) experience…read more I had a late ER visit which required medication at 9 PM on a Sunday. The hospital recommended this pharmacy and sent the prescription here. Within 30 minutes, I got a call that the medication wasn't in stock nor available for 4 more days. I chose to put the order on hold. A few minutes later, I changed my mind and went to the same pharmacy to request them to transfer the order to another store. The pharmacist who helped was incredibly kind and helpful. Literally had two physical phones up to his ear to contact other stores and ensure they had the item in stock. That level of service is really REALLY special. He could have easily just redirected me somewhere else (16 miles away) and made it someone else's issue to deal with but instead, he chose to do the right thing and make sure what I needed was there before I left. To me, that shows integrity and commitment to work. Yes, the area is a little sketch. Yes, the parking lot has a lot of trash. Yes, the wait times can be a little long. But the customer service is top notch. I'd come back if I needed 24/7 medication in the future.

I called and was on hold for over an hour and nobody answered the phone. We even drove to the pharmacy, got in line and made it to the front counter and still nobody answered and you couldn't hear any phones ringing in the pharmacy either. I asked the pharmacy tech why nobody is answering the phones and he said they were too busy. What!?!? How on earth are you supposed to reach the pharmacist if you have a question. This is totally unacceptable. There were 5 employees back in the pharmacy and not one could answer the phone? I'll be reaching out to corporate to express my frustrations with Walgreens pharmacy practices of never answering the phones. Do better Walgreens!!

This used to be the most-visited Indian grocery store in the Union City area. And yes, I know,…read morethere are a lot more Indian grocery options around now. Competition is real, and honestly, that's great for customers. That said, this store feels like it may have passed its prime a bit. They still carry the basics (and that's important), but the fresh grocery selection feels inconsistent. On the flip side, there's a noticeably bigger focus on frozen meals and frozen options, which is convenient... but it's not quite the same as walking in and feeling confident about the fresh picks. A bigger concern for me: a few times I visited, I noticed items that were close to--or possibly past--their prime/expiration date. That's the kind of thing that makes shoppers hesitate, especially when there are so many alternatives nearby. I genuinely think a little refresh would go a long way: - tighter inventory rotation - clearer quality checks - small clean-up / organization upgrades This is still a local business, and I'd like to see them bounce back. I'll continue to support when I can but I really hope they tighten up on options and inventory so it feels like the go-to spot again.

When I arrived the RX was ready, but the juice wasn't there! Another case of being understaffed! One clerk had to go bak and forth from the drive thru to the front counter! There's no place on the website that you can upload docs, etc. so you have to call and wait on hold for 45 minutes, then have the phone automatically hang up, you call bac, the same thing! Came here because the Walgreens website said this location had a canker sore treatment in stock,…read moreafter all the other drugstores were out. Raced down there, from the other side of town, battling a closed off freeway entrance and many red lights. It was 9:44pm and I got to the entrance at 9:45, meaning we had 15 mins until closing time. The doors wouldn't open. Wtf? The security guard then tells us, "We're closed, we close 15 mins early." Um, what? If you close early, then DON'T ADVERTISE THAT YOU CLOSE AT 10PM. Wasted a whole trip for nothing. Will never come here again and I strongly advise nobody else does either. I wonder if it's even legal to do that.

Love that they are non-toxic and even some are organic. I recently started my non-toxic journey and Re-Up is definitely a great place to start. Tips for if you've never shopped at a refillery: they have scales so you can weigh the container (either that you buy from them or bring in your own empty or not empty), stick a piece of tape to container and wright the weight (before you fill their products). This way, when they weigh the container at checkout, they will subtract the weight you wrote down so you only pay what you filled there. If you are at their spice and powdered items, they have clean scoops you can use and make sure to place them in the used spot after use. Below the scale next to that spices and powdered area, there are rags you can use to clean up your container or counter if you spilled anything. There are actually 3 scales around the stores. And they have a rewards program where you can get a card that the cashier can mark every time you make a purchase.

I don't know what the issue is with this Walgreens pharmacy, but my experiences here have been…read moreconsistently frustrating. I received a notification that my dad's prescriptions were ready for pickup, so I went to the pharmacy expecting a quick transaction. Instead, I was told I had to wait for the pharmacist to release the medications because there had been a change. When I asked what the change was, no one could explain it, and I couldn't find anything different on the prescription label. To make matters worse, I had to wait over 15 minutes for the pharmacist to return and approve the release. I didn't have extra time to sit and wait because I needed to get my dad to a scheduled appointment. If the medication isn't actually available for pickup, then why does the website and notification system say it's ready? Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue we've had at this location. My dad receives a monthly injection, and during our last refill they gave us the runaround for three days, claiming they couldn't reach his doctor for approval on needles. The problem was that there was already a valid refill on file the entire time. It took them three days to figure that out. People don't have time to make multiple trips and deal with repeated pharmacy issues just to get medications they depend on. Because of the ongoing problems, poor communication, and wasted time, I will be transferring my dad's prescriptions to another pharmacy. Of you need your medicine in a timely manner skip this location and go elsewhere.
