My server was sweet too and paid attention. although i was pleased with my meal, i think i made the wrong choice by getting what i did. i now realize i need to come back and get actual breakfast items because that seems to be the star of the show. however, the lunch specials are a great deal and i was on a bit of a budget. grilled cheese is incredibly simple and nothing to talk about. maybe they can add the option of 2 cheeses maybe add caramelized onions? it was just white bread with 1 slice of cheddar. it hit the spot and was melted fine, but really nothing exciting. the lunch special came with a soup and there were 3 choices this day. the onion soup was absolutely amazing. it was sweet and salty, and veggie friendly! i would get this again. fries were nothing special either. probably could have been cooked more. rice pudding was okay. i think it needed more sweetness or seasoning but it was a nice touch at the end of the meal. ps, all for $14? what a good deal.

It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

I've driven past this classic truck stop diner countless times, always curious about the food inside, but never quite stopping--until some friends recently raved about it. I stopped by here while on a work trip to Teterboro Airport. This was a great surprise find, as the run down looks of the place hide some wonderful food inside. I had a burger, and it was spectacular, just a great slice of an American favorite from a very American restaurant. The fries were marvelous as well. It was all topped off by a fresh milkshake. The food took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait for a very fresh, tasty meal. The wait also allowed me to enjoy this very original American diner, it felt like being transported back to another era, and it was all genuine. The waitress was very friendly. The prices were pretty average for this part of the country, it was well worth the price paid. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!! SO NASTY AND RUDE! My boyfriend made an error in placing an order at this place. When he called to cancel his pick-up order, a guy started yelling at him on the phone saying "you can't cancel!" and making a huge argument! The guy then said he was going to call the cops on my boyfriend! I don't care how good the food is here, their behavior is completely disgusting!!!! He only order 2 orders of French toast!
