Visited this location for free ice cream day and was impressed with the speed and efficiency they had in servicing hundreds of people. They had a wide variety of flavor options. This location is slightly inside the shopping mall space in sliver spring so be mindful of business hours before visiting. It has a few chairs for sitting inside or outside. I loved my scoop of butter pecan. Will have to come back to try their others read more

I love a good scoop of ice cream and this definitely hit the spot after shopping at the stores near by! I got the chocolate peanut butter chunk and it was so good! The lady helping was not stingy with the ice cream and she was friendly! Even allowed me to try a few flavors! The seating area could be a little cleaner but other than that I enjoyed my visit! read more

This location is the absolute worst! Buyer beware. I have been a long time loyal customer of B&J and frequented this location. Over the years of this location has deteriorated. Such unreliable, poor customer service and poor cleanliness. Today is the straw that broke the camel's back. I ordered a $60 birthday cake for my son's birthday three days in advance for 12 PM pick up. I went to pick it up at 1 PM and they let me know it's going to be an additional 30 minutes and the cake wasn't ready. I had to scramble to go back to pick it up and still meet the time for my son's birthday party. I go to pick it up at 2 pm and they tell me that it needs more time in the freezer or will fall apart. Causing me to have to change my plans so that the cake doesn't fall apart before the party. I open the cake and they spell half of his name on it (not misspelled... they decided to spell just half of it. Made no sense). Never again will I give this place my money. read more

I stopped in to grab a quick dairy free dessert and they were able to make me a milkshake with almond milk. It was a bit crowded but mainly with people inside enjoying ice cream I wish they had more than 3 dairy free ice cream flavors but considering that many please don't have this option, it's not a big deterrent. The milk shake was ok, so I took away one star read more

Wide selection of different types of flavors. Tastes much better than what you can pick up in the grocery store.

This place had kind workers while also having cold deliciousebice cream. great way to start the summer. Especially with this heat wave.

So expensive for ice cream and the taste was not very good. Location was fine was mother clean or dirty just meh sanitary.

I am a huge fan of Ben & Jerry's. This ice cream shop definitely costs more than other ice cream shops I've been to, but I am fine paying the price for such a tasty, creamy non-dairy option! It's been hard finding ice cream shops that has delicious options for those who do not eat dairy. My baby developed a dairy allergy and as a nursing mother, I had to give up dairy. I tried a lot of different brands of non-dairy ice cream and Ben & Jerry's is honestly the best!! Another bonus is that every time I've placed an online order, my order is always ready on time despite how busy this place is. If you need any recommendations for non-dairy flavors, I would definitely give the following a try: Cookie Dough, Fudge Brownie, or American Dream. You will NOT be disappointed! read more

It's Ben & Jerry's and between what you can buy in the grocery stores and what's offered in the shops, you'll pretty much be covered for variety of flavor. I opted for the non-dairy chocolate chip cookie DC dough in a cup but the smell of waffle cones and sight of brownies will have you wanting to upgrade real quick! This location was busy when I went on a late Saturday afternoon but the line moved quickly. Service was friendly and efficient. It is a small ice cream parlor, so interactions would be limited from my view. Good experience when you need a convenient cold sweet treat! Bonus point for what appears to be environment-friendly spoon. read more

Rude unprofessional impatient staff that literally make fun of you and laugh in your face. Female server gave me instructions, I started following her instructions and she said, can we start over here we are kind of busy in a very condescending tone. If that's what you needed you should have led with that! I was trying to help my kids pick per her instructions and she acted like I was ignoring her. She made fun of my husband in front of everyone and didn't even get his order right. Ice cream wasn't even good. We threw it away. Waste of time and money. Rude condescending staff. read more

Came back here yesterday with a Groupon and had the Marshmallow Sky and Cherry Garcia small scoops and the Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie. The ice cream was great as usual and the staff was friendlier than they have been here before. There is not a ton of seating here but there are ample benches outside on Ellsworth. read more

We came to this location for their free cone day and really loved the area it was in since it was around the mall. We struggled with finding some street parking for a bit to not have to pay for the garage and we were able to find a spot up the street. The line was out of the door when we got there but it moved quickly! They were also kind enough to let our dog in with us and we got a churro cone and a cookie dough cone. Both super yummy and amazing! The staff was kind and friendly, we can't wait to visit again. read more

Yummy ice cream. Ben & Jerry's is pretty solid anywhere you go and I was happy to find it since I originally wanted an ice cream across the street, but it was closed. The workers were very nice, especially the girl who was working at the time. One odd thing that I noticed was that it was 15 minutes before closing and they were putting the gate down already to close up. I'm all for starting closing tasks but ai think it's off-putting to the customers to see the gate going down while we're still ordering or eating. read more

Pros: *Ordered small cup of Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. Ice cream tasted fresh + delicious (huge cookie dough pieces too!) *Large menu w/shakes, smoothies, sundaes, cakes, cookies, brownies, + 30 ice cream flavors *5 non-dairy flavors (Change The Whirled, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Strawberry Marshmallow, Berry Berry Extraordinary Sorbet, + Lemonade Sorbet.) Cons: *Ice cream is pricey - 1 scoop (kids sz) is $5.83, 2 scoops (small sz) is $6.89, shakes/smoothies (small sz) is $8+ - after tax pricing. *Downtown location - will likely have to pay for parking at nearby garage (garage is free on weekends, though). *Value is not the best - portion sizes seem too small when compared to a store-bought B&J pint, which runs for $5.XX. Overall: Quick-serve ice cream concept w/ many unique flavors + sustainable practices (fair trade, wood spoons, etc.) Ice cream is high-quality, but is pricey. Would consider returning to try a cookie/brownie or exclusive ice-cream flavor, otherwise I'd just opt for a store-bought B&J pint. read more

if i could give negative stars i would. they canceled orders twice when there was well over half an hour before closing time. if they don't want to scoop ice cream maybe they shouldn't be there. ben & jerry would be appalled. they should just close this location since they're not interested in serving ice cream. straight trash. read more

Busy on a Sunday evening with a good crowd and a short line. The folks inside moved it along well. A single scoop of B&J isn't cheap - it runs more than a frozen pint you'd get at the supermarket. But it IS the same B&J quality. I went with the salted caramel brownie. Very tasty, of course. read more

Great concept of an local dessert spot in a hot area. The location was kind of small and cramped in the corner of the gallery but they had a counter, small seating area and plenty of space to get what you needed and get out. I really have no complaints about this place, but I must admit they do need to do some repairs and they're a little costly. Aside from repairs needed & fluffed pricing, the staff members were sweet and welcoming, and we received our dessert within a timely fashion. read more

Last weekend I had the opportunity to sample (more than once, shh...) their new Chocolate Macadamia ice cream: chocolate and vanilla ice creams with fudge covered macadamia nuts (sustainably-sourced of course!). It was yummy and left me dreaming about it for days. Then I remembered I still had my free birthday cone coupon that I got for signing up for their ChunkMail. Free ice cream is a good thing. Alas, this location did not have the new Chocolate Macadamia flavor or the Hubby Hubby (temporarily named that way to show their support). Nor did they have the Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road flavor. Humph! I settled for Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch. It was a bit sweet for me, and I had sweet chocolaty macadamia nuts dancing in my head. Maybe next time! Since the weather was cold and drizzly there weren't many takers today. The scooper dude was nice enough; not rude at all like the experience Duncan R. had. I'd have been very cross if I did get my macadamia goodness and had it spoiled by rude service, but that was not the case. While I may not be an ice cream fanatic, Ben & Jerry's always hits the spot. read more

Lately i have been coming back to this location because they obviously have new staff which serve customers better then the previous people. I stopped coming to this location for years because they always have had ghetto people who dont show respect or patience to customers but latey it starts getting a lot better so me and my friends are back to bem and jerry silver spring. I hope they dont hire individuals who dont care or respect customers..keep up the good job read more

PURE BLISS! I LOVE Ben & Jerry! This location is awesome. They have a variety of cones to choose from, the amazing thing is that the cones come in small and large! Major plus! They even have a fruity pebble one! This location has a variety of ice cream flavors to choose from as-well as toppings. I ordered a small and the scoops were very generous. Thank you Ben & Jerrys! So yummy. I paid $16 bucks for two ice creams in cones. Friendly and fast customer service, the young lady who helped us was very nice and patient (as we didn't know what flavor to pick). I recommend this location if you are in the mall and in the mood for ice cream. Yummy! Can't go wrong. read more

The service is standard, but at least the employees are eager to help and don't seem put off. This is on the corner of Fenton Street and Ellsworth Drive, where Ellsworth Drive is closed off to cars. The shop is small but has several entrances (from the mall side and from the street side). There are very few tables for sitting, and the ones that they do have are sticky and small and not conducive to an enjoyable experience. read more

You know the ice cream and the customer service at this location is good too. This Ben & Jerry's is fairly high traffic and does serve many families that come in with kids. The location is so high traffic that it is not always the cleanest or best place to sit down. However, if you are willing to take your scoop to-go, there is a lot to see and do in the general vicinity. Word to the wise, look at Living Social or Groupon and find Ben & Jerry's deals. read more

I like the location and the cow decor. If I am unsure of the flavor of ice cream I want, the employees are nice about letting me try a few kinds. This is the perfect spot to stop after a meal at one of the restaurants in the surrounding area. I usually just get one scoop of ice cream. read more

This place is conveniently located in the middle of the movie theaters and everything else that people go so see in downtown Silver Spring, and one of relatively few Ben and Jerry's left in the DC area. Their scoop shops don't seem to be doing that well for whatever reason (though I suspect their product is stil being bought by many). They weren't really wowing me with their selection; I feel like the Rockville one had a few more flavors, maybe. More that I like, anyway. Word is that B&J's is looking into the vegan ice cream market, but they're not there yet. read more

Horrible customer service. #1 rule: DO NOT CHASTISE THE CUSTOMERS (especially when the staff was wrong). My girlfriend came in this past Easter Sunday w/ her 4 y/o daughter, her 4 y/o nephew, & 5 y/o niece. Young man behind the counter was short & impatient. Especially getting into an argument w/ the customers when YOU grabbed the wrong cone & refused to hear what the customer had to say. This place lacks management as well as the workers requiring re-training. Ben & Jerry's Corporate will be hearing about this. read more

First time going to Ben & Jerry's shop EVER. I tried the strawberry cheesecake milkshake. It wasn't bad but I'm not a huge fan of their version of strawberry cheesecake. I wish they could take any of their flavors and make a milkshake, and if they can I wish they would have advertised it on the wall better. I'll probably stick to buying the ice cream at the grocery store. read more

If the outdoor temperature is above 80 or so, avoid this location. Sadly, at the very time when ice cream is most desirable (in hot weather), this location doesn't have freezers that adequately work to keep the ice cream frozen. All you get is cold mush. I complained once and the person merely shrugged and said, "it's hot out." I've given them a few chances to demonstrate that they can keep ice cream frozen, and they've proven they can't. Unless and until they get new freezers that work (something that ice cream parlors all over seem to have), I can't recommend this location in hot weather. Go in the winter, and you can get nicely frozen ice cream! read more

This Ben and Jerry's location is great. I've been three or four times and the staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. Recently I stopped by to pick up an ice cream cake I ordered online. The cashier went immediately to get it for me and her colleague stepped in and ran the register. I watched three different people with their elaborate and generous ice cream towers, waffle cones and sundaes come to the checkout. Each one used a credit card to pay and all three of them declined the option to tip. Come on, people - these nice women are here in a crowded shop, providing scoop after scoop with a smile on their face, catering to all your requests for extra whipped cream, more fudge, etc...the least we can do is TIP THEM! read more

I've never been to this location before. I do enjoy trying flavors I don't typically find in the grocery store pints. The ice cream itself was good. I tried this coconut chocolate one. I also sampled another that was good. Here's why I only gave two stars..THE PRICE! Over $9 for two scoops and a large waffle cone. Ridiculous! I can buy two points of B&J for that price. Sorry, but I cannot return because it's not worth the money. read more

It is Ben and Jerry's so what is not to love about the ice cream? Well, the last time we went the floor was sticky in most areas and slippery in others. I am never sure which is worse, nearly falling and breaking my leg, or losing my shoe in the sticky grim on the floor. read more

Ben & Jerry's is a household brand, everyone has heard of this brand of ice cream. One day B&J was nice enough to give free ice cream out to the public (great idea)! Purchased a Groupon for 8 cones or cups from Ben and Jerry's. Details stipulate you have 6 months to redeem the Groupon for a punch card, which does not have an expiration date. I redeemed just before covid. Tonight I tried to use the punch card and was informed they don't take them anymore. The girl called her manager to confirm and put me on the phone with the manager. Manager told me I must have had them for more than 3 years (despite my Groupon purchase date with an expiration date of July 2020) and there is nothing they can do to honor them. The details of the purchase also stipulate I redeem at this location- though the manager suggest I try another location (next closest location is 30 min away and NOT included on the Groupon details). Lost my business for good. Groupon did right to credit back my wasted and unused punch card. read more
