After some research, I found Paola and her cakes looked BEAUTIFUL! I contacted Paola about two weeks before my event and was excited to hear that she was available. I wasn't sure of the exact design I wanted, but I wanted a cross between a science themed and graduation themed cake and Paola was confident she could make that happen. Paola is really quick to respond to emails, calls and texts and was really patient and informative in answering any question I had. Payment was quick and easy, I was able to Venmo her directly (50% before to book the cake, and the other 50% when I received the cake). She was flexible and offered to deliver the cake to my event for a per mile fee which made my life a LOT easier. When the cake arrived it was AMAZING! I've had her coconut cake and almond cake from other events that my friends have planned, as well. And they were very delicious. During the process to meet and get our samples, the business owner wrote informing us our date was no longer available and they were booked up now. Apparently they wanted us to pay a retainer to lock in the date, but we were just supposed to guess that was required since it was never mentioned in any communication nor was an invoice provided to us to do so or a means of payment discussed. We would have had no problem at all paying even in full had the business mentioned it even once that it was required. Really a disappointing experience all around working with the provider.
