My family and I had the worst service that I've ever experienced . Amber waited on us . She was terribly rude and unwelcoming . We have been there numerous times and always had good food and service. We went there last weekend and decided to get the blackened grouper tacos. After a couple bites and checking both tacos to see how much seasoning was on the fish I noticed it was not grouper it was tilapia. Tilapia has a distinct shape and that is what it was. I was not on the mood to embarrass or bring it to a managers attention so I finished and decided to write this review. I hope they dont do this daily to other customers. read more

Not great, would have sent the calamari back if our waitress existed. The calamari was like eating a piece of rubber. Burger was decent but nothing special and the shrimp pasta had very little shrimp. Seems like the bar would be the best bet in the place. read more

Really disappointed, I liked Sherlocks in its prime and I had seen this place compared to that. No way, I got the pot roast and it did look beautiful but it was piled so high with potato straws once those were removed there was not much there, certainly not much meat. My friend has the kabobs, which were very overdone even when order medium and they had little to no flavor. So with a 14-19 meal you cant throw in a side salad? Oh and the wait staff, there was plenty they just were not waiting on the customers, they were socializing and no one seemed to be in charge to remedy that. This place is AMAZING!! My husband and I went here completely by fluke because we were looking for a restaurant that was open on a Sunday -- SO glad we found Bemos!! The food is fresh, well presented and made from scratch -- even the kids macaroni & cheese (which I would totally order as an entree if it were offered, it is THAT good!!) We were blown away by the amazing burgers, fish tacos, salmon salad ... literally everything we've had here has been amazing! Its one of the only places where I could go and I want EVERYTHING on the menu! The burgers (and other sandwiches I assume) are served on a warm, crusty but soft, bun, the toppings are fresh and the burger is seasoned and cooked perfectly! The salads include a combo of different dark and light lettuces, which I really appreciate! We have been back 4 times since our last visit and each time we go we are consistently impressed with the food and staff! Great atmosphere, great service with a smile and amazing food! read more

I was so excited to try this restaurant out as my office is next door & I purchased a Groupon for $30 a while back & it was going to expire soon. I brought my boyfriend & right away we noticed that the décor was pretty much the same as the old restaurant (Sherlocks). It was pretty slow when we came in for an early dinner. We were disappointed that they had NO happy hour deals besides $5 off your bill, which we were told we could not take advantage of that since we were using a Groupon. So I ordered a water & my bf ordered one beer. We ordered the $11 calamari appetizer & were WAY disappointed when we got it as there were maybe 6-8 long strips & thick, greasy, undercooked whatever it was. It came with 2 sauces, but that didn't help the disgusting calamari. I have been eating calamari for many years & I've never seen it prepared this way. I ate one piece & was done, while my boyfriend ate most of it just because he was so hungry. He complained about it too & said it was not traditional calamari & definitely not worth $11! We complained to our waitress & I told her I was not paying for that junk & they took it off the bill. When our sandwiches came out, we were equally disappointed, as both were very greasy & nothing impressive & not worth the price. I got a chicken sandwich with fries & my boyfriend got a sandwich with a fried egg on it & house made chips. Service was OK but I didn't like how long the waitress stood at my side recording all the numbers from my Groupon off my phone while I was trying to eat. They obviously do not have scanning technology like most restaurants. I asked for honey mustard for my sandwich & they said they didn't carry any! Atmosphere was boring & needless to say I was very disappointed since I live about 5 minutes away & work next door & have been excited to try it out. I will NOT be going back as I felt the entire menu was overpriced for what it offered. I would've rather spent that $30 Groupon on a fast food chain than that overpriced, greasy mess! We chose Bemo because it was a beautiful day and we wanted to sit outside and we remembered they had a patio. Our first hint that it wasn't going to be good was that there was no one else outside and only one table inside. It took several minutes to order our drinks and several more minutes to get them. Our server was nice but very, very slow. She rarely checked back to see if we needed anything. After our appetizers were finished a new server came out and asked if we needed anything. We just thought the original server was busy so we said we were fine. 15 minutes later she came back out again and asked us if we needed anything and was pretty rude. We ordered more drinks and made a funny joke to her and she just stared at us. After we were finished with our dinners she came back out again, once again with a bad attitude, and we asked where our original server was. She said the other girl went home sick. All of us in the group are in the industry and we all know the right thing to do would have been for our original server to come out, let us know she was leaving, and introduce us to our new server. No communication at all and we were getting worse service from our new server. She never came back out so we had to go find someone to get us our check. When we went inside, there were only three tables sat, so no excuse for the slow, crappy service. The food was pretty good, but definitely not worth going back. read more

The food is good, but way overpriced for the size of the portion. My husband and I ordered the jumbo wing appetizer which was priced at $9.50. We received 7 small wings. The flavor was good but for almost 10 dollars at least give me 10 good sized wings. The hill salad I ordered was equally as skimpy. The flavors were nice but for 10 dollars there was hardly anything on it. I hope Bemo's fixes these things because we live very close and would love for this to be our go to restaurant. read more

My family went here on a Tuesday evening, around 6pm. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Unfortunately, that was where the prompt service ended. It took 10 minutes or so for a server to come take our drink order, and another 10-15 min to get our drinks and take our food order. I ordered the fish tacos, my husband the pot roast. Our kids ordered soup/salad, and the cajun pasta. We sat there for nearly 30 minutes waiting for our food. By the time it arrived we were starving. But wow, the food was really good. Best fish tacos I have ever tasted. That said, if you don't care for blackened seasoning, don't order the fish tacos, because they are made with blackened grouper. Delicious. My hubby loved the braised pot roast, he said it was wonderful. Cajun pasta and caesar salad got the thumbs-up from teens. All in all I would return for the tasty food, but only if I am not too hungry or in a hurry, because the service is very slow. read more

This is a great little locally owned restaurant. We've dined there a few times, but just recently used their banquet room for a buffet dinner after my son's wedding. The setup was very nice and intimate. The owner (Dave) and his staff did a tremendous job putting together the menu. Food was phenomenal! This was our first time here, we love supporting local business over big chains. It was a Friday night, so it was busy, luckily we made reservations. We waited in the bar area for our table bc we got there a lil early. It was quite a large bar area, with friendly bartenders. Our table was ready soon after. Ate there last Sunday with a party of 7. Food was good, staff not so much. I made the reservation and arrived 10 min. early. Stood in lobby about 10 minutes. No one in sight. Just as I was heading to look for someone, a waiter appeared. Nice enough, just really slow. We were given lunch menus only. When we asked for a dinner menu were told dinner didn't start for another 45 min. He said he could check and see if anything was started for dinner but probably not. After dinner we ordered dessert. 4 cheesecakes and a chocolate cake. After 10 min. He came back and said, "it looks like we only have 2 cheesecakes." Really? Why would there only be 2 pieces of cheescake when the place was to be open for another 4 Hrs? We asked for coffee and he said, well I'll have make some first. I was finished with my desert before the coffee arrived. That's a shame. Food was good, nothing outstanding, however won't return because of poor service. Now I know why the place was almost empty. No need for a reservation! Too high priced for terrible service. read more
