The staff tailored them flawlessly and even shortened a few shirt sleeves for me. I was in Winchester today with my fiancée to visit the university (we are both prospective graduate students). As we were exploring the area, we stumbled across Bell's. Upon seeing the dazzling window displays, my fiancée said "We have to go in and check this out!" She knows I love men's fashion and exploring places that have unique options, so when we are in new places, we occasionally check out stores like Bell's to see what is out there. The interior of the store is intricately and thoughtfully organized. It is clear that the owners/employees take great pride in their craft. However, the displays, organization, and great breadth of options were far overshadowed by the wonderful customer service we were shown upon entering. My fiancée and I are a young couple, and we do not have a lot of money, which made a lot of the store's contents out of our financial reach. Even still, Stephen walked right up to us, welcomed us warmly, and asked about our day and what brought us into town. This seemingly small gesture meant all the world to us, as we have been in similar stores and haven't even been acknowledged by the staff simply because we don't look like we would provide much business. We might have left empty handed today, but I will recommend Bell's to anyone who find themselves in the area, and I hope to one day purchase a suit from these lovely people! Fantastic clothiers with a true understanding of men's fashion. Unlike the buy 1, get 26 free guys, they pride themselves in not only superior quality, but top-notch product knowledge as well. I learned so much, upon buying my last suit. In house tailors make sure everything leaves the store looking like it was made specifically for its owner. Pricing is right in line with industry standards, however a good suit is worth it's weight in gold, so not an area you want to skimp. Stephen Shendow was the gentleman I worked with and his overall knowledge of the industry was astounding, his passion for his business was very apparent. I couldn't recommend them enough. Very poor customer service which is upsetting considering they are the most expensive place in town. Their return policy is to insult you if you ask for an exchange and follow it with "a spades a spade". I have never been somewhere that would actually insult you. I know am faced with leaving everything there that I do not want and working with my card company to dispute the charge! It's family owned and Stephen and Scott were both deplorable. Please door yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If you do go there please tell them exactly what you want (to a ridiculous degree) and never except their empty promises. Went in to have some measurements taken for a wedding tux rental several states away. It's an online tux rental scheme which I'm sure was deplorable to Stephen (the proprietor) but he didn't flinch. He stood right up and measured me himself. He then took the time to explain to me some of the finer points of tailoring and why rentals and off the rack suits perform the way that they do. I'm a genuinely inquisitive guy and he satisfied my curiosity so thoroughly in so short a time that, when I need my next suit, I know without a doubt where I'll be making my purchase. To top it all off, when I asked what he'd like for his time he waved me off and said it was on him. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous (also a good sense of humor). Thanks so much. Ordered the wrong vests for wedding party and up charged us to get the right ones. They lied about it saying the supplier sent the wrong vest with 1 tux. I saw the order form they messed up. No, you won't find a throwaway $99 suit here, but you will find a wonderful selection of seasonal apparel from USA, Canada and Europe, along with gift ideas, etc. I receive compliments in my Bell's sport coats everywhere I go. Fantastic service from this family owned business. I'm a well to do guy, but when I dropped by the store on a lark (just visiting Winchester), dressed like a beach bum, the team treated me like a king! I bought a sports coat and slacks and felt like I was buying a custom suit. Bell's is now my men's store and I live over one hour away! Highly recommened! read more
