Very thankful Belks has been able to weather the COVID era and hang on. One of the few mid-range $ shopping stores with name-brand merchandise and good sales, especially seasonal sales on clothing. Good selection of casual men's clothing's. They will order items if they don't have your size and have them delivered to your home without shipping charge. Not a high priced big box store with designer styles. Doesn't include groceries and pharmacy like Target. This store is conveniently located near major highways. Plenty of parking. I've never been to Belk. It was an hour before closing. My hands were full with my baby and a lady noticed me asked if I needed help. She kindly interacted with my baby and got us a cart, put the box set of Cusinart pots and pans (same price as Amazon) I wanted in the cart and directed me to where the restrooms were to change my baby's diaper. Then when I looked for the cashier in the middle of the store a gentlemen called out and assisted me. He kept the cart, while I went to get my car. I came back inside and he rolled the cart out to the car and put it in my trunk for me. It wasn't heavy but definitely an impossible task while holding a baby. I'm so grateful for the customer service NOTICING I would need help and stepped up to the plate with neighborly like care. I searched for an hour for a shopping cart. They have shopping cart with stock in them, but not for customers to shop. I probably would've spent another two to $300 if I had a cart.. very poor customer service. I drove from Centreville here to shop. You can only carry so much in your hands. Drove West to this store to purchase a men's cologne since NOVA still under stay at home order and this store was really nice. I wish I had more time but I just needed to pick that one item. Well, as I check out I saw some converse I have been wanting and so I grab my size and finally checked out! Sales rep and cashiers wore masks as I did but a few shoppers were not. So I went in and decidedly left quickly after the two items. Social distancing is really curving my shopping which is okay. I definitely will come back iff I'm ever in this area again even though ordinarily this is not my store. I appreciated that they were open and had the item I need under the circumstance. Happy to safely support and I believe reopening can be done with precautions! read more

What has happened to this place? Service has gone right down the tubes and so has the selection. Belk needs to get rid of the management at this location. My last visit, I asked to speak to a manager and they left me standing by handbags for over 30 minutes and I finally left after asking 2 times for them. Service is clearly no longer their priority. read more

Its a Macy's without any of the pretentiousness or cool factor. Its got everything you need and more in a department store. Well-stocked and ready for holiday sales. I would say that it has the least favorable stand-alone store positioning in that mall. JC Penny's and Sears seem to be better-situated and have more activity rihgt outside their entrances to draw traffice in. read more

I'm a lifelong shopper, and take great pleasure in doing so...Belk's is awesome!! I've been coming here most of my life, since when it was Leggett's! It's changed over the years, but of any Belk's in the region, this is still my favorite without a doubt! Clothing is something they do better than most. Be it women's, men's, or kids, you can't beat Belk's. If you catch a sale, even better! I don't know of another store where you can get a nicely tailored sport coat for under 75 bucks! Their suit department is amazing, ditto for women's dresses. Even shoes! Need luggage, look no further, and at all price points and styles. Their bedding and linen department is the best I know of, so many choices! I've been buying towels here for over two decades, they make the best towels. Absorbent and they don't shrink, and so soft! Their new curbside pickup is really convenient too, although it's more fun to shop inside. Watch the sales, sometimes if you think somethings priced too high it'll go on sale the next day or a few later....get their app for your phone and keep checking! Complaints wise...they've only got one exterior entrance now, and I hope it's not a permanent thing...they used to have 3 but the back one has been closed for years :( I wish they still did gift wrap and had gift boxes, and those nice handled heavy duty shopping bags....oh and the free garment bags for sport coats....the extra niceties that have fallen by the wayside everywhere though...nonetheless it's still a wonderful store I frequent often! read more

I grew up in Charlotte, NC, ground zero for all things Belk. Moving to NoVa, you're limited on your Belk options. This location is scaled down. They have a decent selection of men's clothes. They carry Nautica, Polo and Izod but no Hillifiger. read more

I was at Belks about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday returning an item. After returning the item I was doing some shopping in there and saw something laying on the floor after looking closely discovered it was dog poop and appeared someone had stepped in part of it. It went back to the register and told the cashier about it and she thanked me. I continued shopping and while doing so saw a women carrying a little Yorkie which I assumed was the culprit. Why they allow dogs in there is beyond me. I finished my shopping about 25 to 30 minutes later and checked out as I was leaving the store walked by to see if the dog poop was still there. Sure enough it was. It should have been removed immediately. Whether the cashier didn't notify anyone or they just didn't care, don't know. Belk used to be a high end store not anymore. Besides the dog poop the carpet is dirty. They still have nice and quality merchandised but the appearance store leaves a lot to be desired. Keeps the dog out. read more

I recently moved to Winchester area and I'm amazed with this store. I went looking for pants to my husband and found a huge variety plus customer service was phenomenal, my cashier was Fred, he's just the best... so kind and professional... I'll definitely recommend this store. read more

This is a "shop for mom" store. It mostly carries clothes and accessories middle-aged women enjoy

I like this Belk. But I love almost all Belk stores as I grew up in NC and this is the place to shop for good clothes. They have a ton of name brands and they beat out Nordstrom, Macy's and JCPenny on the same items. Customer service is good here too. I drive here and to Charlottesville (for shoe selection) at least every 3 months. Charlottesville has the larger shoe selection. I really wish NOVA area had a Belk. read more

whenever I shop there, I never find anything that I just love. I would say it's better for older than younger women. Also, for the quality of the clothing you buy, the prices are little high. I wouldn't pay full price for most of the items there. The location of the store is convenient, however, so I will stop in from time to time. read more

Meh. Limited childrens' section. It was REALLY hot in there and it felt like no air was moving. That's the quickest way to make me cranky and to get me out of your store very quickly. read more

I consider myself a very trendy person and I was pleasantly surprised by the merchandise selection! There is always a sale going on and incredibly helpful sales people.Better yet if they don't have your item in stock they will order it for you, and they can offer alterations as well! This is a review of the Lancome cosmetics counter at Belks. On 20 Feb I went to Belks to purchase Lancome foundation. They had to order it to be shipped to my home as they did not have my shade in stock. No problem. While I was there, I signed up for the free 7 piece gift set offered to those who made a purchase over $35. Again, no problem. As of today, 08 Mar, I still have not received the foundation. In tracking the shipment I see that it has been everywhere except to my home address. I called the Lancome counter at Belks today and was told a manager would call me back. While I was speaking with a Lancome rep, I took the opportunity to ask when I could come in and pick up the gift set. I was advised that my name did not appear on their gift set list. The staff at the Lancome Cosmetic counter at Belks are inept at best - do NOT buy your Lancome products at this store - look elsewhere for better customer service. You deserve it for the money you pay for Lancome. read more
