It's about time for a review updated. South has grown on me over the past few years. Their…read morebreakfast is probably my favorite meal service followed by their seasonal Happy Hour. I will say, I think they have the best breakfast potatoes and biscuit and gravy! Service is friendly and the ambiance is cutesy/cozy. Be sure to add yourself to the waitlist or make a reservation!

We ordered several meals between 2 adults and 3 kids in addition to an appetizer and drink. They're are listed in order of favorite to least favorite: Calamari Seafood pasta Fish and chips Kids fried chicken and rice Scallop Risotto House margarita Kids dessert (house made sorbet) The server asked what soup or salad we would like within the meal, and little did we know, it would be an additional $7 up charge for each. In addition, the margarita was all ice, and tasted like your typical Jose Cuervo margarita. The calamari was good and fairly thick, enjoyed by everyone. The seafood pasta had a good flavor and loaded with seafood, truly the one meal I enjoyed. The fish and chips had 3 large portions of halibut, with a heavy fried batter, and average fries. It didn't taste better than your average fish and chips, and I'm glad I didn't personally order this dish. The kids chicken and rice had a surprisingly large amount of chicken with bland rice. The scallop risotto, just simply wasn't very good, it wasn't bland, but the flavor was lacking, and of the 3 that tried it, no one ate much. The kids dessert was called house made sorbet, and my kiddos were so excited to eat it. They tried one bite and almost cried, he said it tasted like broccoli, and I laughed and tried it myself...no kidding, this tasted like broccoli!! It was absolutely awful, like one of those gag jelly beans. I was expecting a high bill, but the hidden charges at the end really added to our disappointment. I regret coming here

They do real fruit smoothies (including protein options), which I'm always on the hunt for as my toddler loves smoothies. Not only that, but they serve some really great looking sandwiches/wraps, avocado toast, breakfast croissant sandwiches, cookies & muffins. They also have GF bread available. Drive up huts are a real life saver when I have my toddler with my so it's awesome to find one that serves some good lunch options. The sandwiches are made to order. I got the monthly special which is a turkey, bacon, avocado wrap. It was a great wrap, and they did not skimp out on the veggies. The smoothies were delicious, and didn't have tons of unnecessary extra ingredients. If you're looking for a good quick lunch spot, or a new coffee hut to check out on the south side give them a try!

Mountain Stokes sole employee was welcoming and warm. She made me feel confident about what I chose to order. Gyros are my fave and tzatziki sauce is literally everything. Mountain Stokes, "Stoke Sandwich," with said sauce, was so heavenly. It took a normal amount of time to make, yet the employee was still apologetic and grateful for our patience. I also got the Tropical Stoke smoothie. Yum. Perfect, perfect, perfect. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.
