I'm not a huge pancake person, but my husband and I really wanted to find sourdough pancakes while in Alaska. They did not disappoint. They're thin and flavorful. Staff repeatedly acknowledged and served people they clearly knew while we were left waiting and largely ignored. The service was slow, and we had to work much harder than we should have just to get someone's attention. It wasn't busy enough to explain the lack of service, and we never felt welcomed or valued as paying customers. Everyone deserves the same level of courtesy and attention, whether it's their first visit or their hundredth. Unfortunately, this experience made us feel like outsiders, and it left a very negative impression. We won't be returning, and I hope the restaurant takes customer service more seriously so future guests have a better experience.

I'm a recent transplant to Anchorage and I have been on the search for the best chai tea latte around town. Well, good news, I found it. Chai is so often an after thought at coffee shops but this place doesn't skimp on quality. Not to mention the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous with a multitude of houseplants to buy and little gifty type items. On nice days they open up a wall to their back patio area. I haven't stopped by the little market they are connected to, but I'm excited to try it! Needless to say I'm going to become a frequent flyer here.

They use a very good matcha and you can definitely taste the difference. They offer some fresh fruit options for fruit smoothies, which is a plus for my toddler. We usually stop for a smoothie once a week as a ritual after my son's gymnastics class. More often than not I opt to come here for our after class drinks! Iced brew is on tap but also available in growlers and now they also sell canned iced coffee (which has also been sold recently at Costco). They also have kombucha on tap. I think menu items have been fewer during COVID, but they previously had freshly made sandwiches. Now, seems like more in the case and a variety of pastries, which are discounted later in the day. Space is large. Lots of tables and spread out. Good wifi. Minimal plug access if you are laptop user. There are rotating artist displays month-to month, often with pieces for sale. Staff are always friendly. Wait can be a little longer than other places, but it is worth it! Gender-neutral bathroom. Wine shop attached if you want to pick something up while there.
