Absolutely loved the customer service that I received. The woman who took my order was just awesome. Also loved the typical barbecue joint theme decorations throughout the restaurant. And lastly I loved all of the food, truly :)

2 spare ribs, 3 baby back ribs, and a pound of brisket (half lean, half fatty).

Johnny W.

Picked up some smoked meats to go since my dad and I were missing a protein with our dinner. $40 for the haul wasn't bad! Taste and texture of the meats were on point. Solid neighborhood spot, surprised at how empty it was on a Saturday night but it was an hour before closing. Our only critique was that the house bbq and spicy bbq sauce were not a hit. I've never had a bbq sauce like that so we'll pass on that next time.

Brisket sandwich mac n cheese. Baby back ribs.

As the kids would say the place is mid. Not bad but not good either. Walking up a nice bbq smell wafted in the air and got me excited. Unfortunately the excitement was short lived. I got the brisket sandwich with mac n cheese and two baby back rib bones. Service was quick and easy. If you have to put shredded cheese on top of your mac you've already failed. It was gross and almost inedible. The ribs were dry and flavorless. The meat did not fall off the bone. The brisket was bland and dry. The the og bbq sauce and spicy sauce were both very good and saved the brisket. On a side note the strip mall has the ugliest buildings.

I've been meaning to try Bell's for quite awhile, this morning I was craving bbq so we decided to come here, the smells as you walk up are salavating. As soon as you walk in there is a counter where you place your order, the cashier was very welcoming and answered all of the questions I had to help me decide. I ended up getting a plate of Brisket which comes with Texas Toast, and your choice of two sides, I ordered their crispy Brussels sprouts- these are a premium side, so they were a .75 up charge, I also had their red beans and rice and since I really wanted cornbread I ordered a side of that too (totally unnecessary on my part since they serve the brisket over Texas Toast) They have a great variety of sides, which actually made my decision on what to order hard because I love sides. The brisket was tender smoky and delicious, and they had 4 different bbq sauces to top your meats off with. Overall I left here extremely full and satisfied. Glad I finally made my way in here, I plan on coming back soon to try all the different sides and meats.

Pulled pork sandwich, mac n' cheese, and wonderful fried onions.

This would have been a 4-star review, but my brisket was the fattest I can recall ever getting at a restaurant. The first time we ate at Bell's a couple of years ago, I also had fatty brisket. I told my wife I would never order it at Bell's again. However, while placing an order online, I saw where you could request lean brisket. Great, I'll give them another chance! I requested, "The leanest brisket you have, please." They even print that on your receipt. Lean, it was not, I ate just about half of the meat. My wife's pulled pork sandwich was quite good. Bell's sides are quite good. As we usually do, we got a side of Brussels sprouts, mac n' cheese, and the deviled egg potato salad. We tried the Buffalo Cauliflower, and I really loved it! Nice and crispy with a kick that is not overwhelming. We also like the braised greens and mashed yams. Also, their house BBQ sauce is quite good. The girl who checked out our carryout order was very friendly, even funny. As BBQ fanatics, we'd be back more often if the brisket wasn't so fatty.

It's one year later than our first review. Could they possibly perform as well as last year. YUP!!! We ordered our Thanksgiving turkey from Bells. the only differnce is that this year we asked them to carve the turkey for us. The turkey was delivered exactly when we asked for it. And it was carved perfectly. Delish! they did it again. Great service . Excellent food. Reasonable prices.

I asked for the sweet BBQ sauce. I don't know why I was also given a mustard sauce. Neither of us will touch that.

Oh, the smell! We had to park in the next lot over because someone in that strip center was having a party; their guests had taken every single parking spot! From the second we exited our car, we could smell the fabulous smell of barbecue. We entered Bell's with great anticipation. We had eaten here once, several years ago. I thought I'd written a review but can't find it. I remember there was something strange about a big hunk of bread ... Today, clean slate. Hubby and I wanted to take food home with us. Nathifa was polite and pleasant but I had to ask her to repeat what she said, louder. So soft-spoken, I couldn't hear her initially. Hubby ordered 1/2 pound of pulled pork to go. We ordered 1/2 pound of brisket for me. I've just eaten much of the brisket and it was definitely the best part of my meal. I did add sauce to it. My one complaint with the brisket: I ordered shredded (not chopped). It was shredded but not well. There were a couple of pieces that were the size of my three center fingers! Hubby had the exact same complaint about his pulled pork. For sides, we chose the braised greens and BBQ beans. I was so looking forward to the greens which are shown on the menu board as "Collard Greens." They seriously needed some heat; a good dose of Tabasco would have helped by providing both heat and acid. Additionally, the bites of bacon were under-cooked. They should have been cooked fully so that they'd add a crunch factor. Hours later, I reheated the Collard Greens and leftover shredded brisket. I added Tabasco and lemon juice. The leftovers were much better than what I'd eaten earlier. The BBQ beans initially had a good flavor (sweet) but I found the combination of beans to be weird. There are three beans, one of which is the black bean. The black beans just didn't belong. Also, there are bits of something red; red bell pepper, maybe? It adds nothing good to the dish; it just adds to the weirdness of the beans. We ordered two slices of Texas Toast which were, of course, cold when we got home. Both slices looked good on one side but were somewhat burnt on the reverse side. This lunch was $43. This was a disappointing meal. The last two times we got food from Big B's Texas BBQ, the food was horrible. We were hoping to get a good meal from Bell's. We didn't. So the search for good barbecue continues.

nt to Bell's BBQ with my mom. The food was amazing. I got the ribs with Mac and cheese and potato salad. I personally felt like I didn't even need to put bbq sauce on the ribs because the dry rub was that good. The people working at the restaurant were also very nice. The restaurant itself was decorated pretty simply too. I would definitely go back here.

Hannah M.

The potential is there for Bell's to be great, but the lack of attention with their food is disappointing. Our most recent experience is such a let down, and a health hazard. My chicken strips were placed into the to go container while they were so hot that plastic melted onto my food. They were overly salty, but the quality of chicken was decent. Our hush puppies were undercooked and had a raw flour taste. They were gooey. The Mac and cheese lacks any real flavor at all. I shoved some fried onions on top to try to save it. It's creamy, at least, but everything just falls short. Why put two cracker pieces on top but no seasoning? No paprika, pepper, or garlic? The cornbread tastes like a rich cake. Southern cornbread has a hint of sweetness - it's not dessert. The brisket was overly salty and heavy. There sadly wasn't one thing we liked. The desserts looked so good on the counter, but I felt hesitant to try them and I'm glad I didn't. They're a whopping $6.99 for a tiny jar of cake or pudding. I was excited to try Bell's again, because the first time I gave benefit of the doubt that I hadn't tried enough of the menu, and I was mostly just excited to have a BBQ spot in town. I saw they had boiled peanuts so we tried again and completely wasted our money. Call us picky, but we really feel Bell's can do better quality wise for the price. The one upside is that the customer service is fairly good.

Delicious food. Great service. Feels like a down home environment. I got the brisket cheesesteak sandwich. It was awesome .

This was a very disappointing food experience. The food was bland, under seasoned, and lacked any real uniqueness. The macaroni was dry and tasted of cornstarch, the cheese grits didn't have enough liquid so it became a solid block with no flavor, the brisket was dry (hence the need for so much bbq sauce), the fried okra was too salty, and the St. Louis ribs were cooked in a flavorless rub. The best parts of the meal were the mashed yams, bbq sauce itself, Devyns pickles, pulled pork, and the fluffer nutter dessert. That's very unfortunate because I was excited for a new bbq atmosphere besides the food chain of famous Dave's, but I know I won't be back. read more

My roommate and I was going to eat next door at the Vietnamese place, but my roommate heard great things about this place and we decided to go here. I'm glad we did! She ordered the brisket sandwhich and I ordered the beef ribs. I love beef ribs and these were tender and tasty! I usually have to fight getting the meat off the bone but not these ones! I got 2 sides and an extra side for checking in with yelp. I am critical with Mac and cheese and I must say the 3 cheese Mac and cheese surpass my test. Nice consistency with the cheese and has has a smoothness to it,which I like. The crispy brussel sprouts were the bomb! I wish I can make these at home. The 3rd side was the mash yams , which was nothing special but still good. They have different types of bbq sauce and I usually go with the spicy bbq sauce, but the mustard bbq sauce was amazing. First time trying mustard bbq sauce on ribs and it added another level of taste to my palate!!! Great service, especially from twayla. She made sure everything tasted great and are drinks filled! I believe their bbq is a North Carolina flare. Oh they also have legit texas toast to die for. Ill be back! read more

Since I was born in Memphis and have eaten BBQ all over the country since I was a child, and make it myself, I think I know a little about this subject. I also have a restaurant management degree. First I found all the food to be just average. The pulled pork had good flavor but putting it on top of garlic bread spoiled it for me. The two don't gel well on top of each other. And I don't like garlic flavor in my BBQ. Plus I like my garlic bread separate. When I entered I took a seat and waited twenty minutes before the waitress told me I needed to order at the counter even though she looked and passed by me several times. When I ordered it took a while for someone to take my order. Then I was told the food would be delayed.? They were only about 2/3 full. But one look at the apparent chaos in the kitchen gave me a clue.! My food did come quicker than expected but overall my experience was about 2 1/2 stars.! read more

Our first time there and everything was outstanding. Found the place listed with Groupon deals and got a 30% discount. Groupon had some wierd hours posted so called Bell's, left message, and Stephanie (owner) called us back with the correct hours of operation. Very good BBQ, house sauce was interesting, not typical BBQ sauce, had some unique spice hints that were perfect. Had a very nice chat with Stephanie who would not reveal the secret receipe. read more

The food was pretty good. Would have just given 4 stars based just on food, but I'm giving 5 because of the service. I ordered baby back ribs and they came out cold. I had ordered to go so maybe they were expecting me to go home and heat it up later. However, I went to place next door to sit down and eat with the rest of my friends (I didn't feel like eating pho at the time). So when I took it back, they were nice about it and made me a fresh new batch. They even let me keep the old one to eat for later since they were going to just throw it away. Most places would have just taken it back and just tossed it in the trash. read more

Finally a real BBQ restaurant on my side of town. Delicious brisket was tender and lean. My wife enjoyed her St Louis ribs, too. Sides were creative and tasty, as were the sauces. Delicious baby back ribs. I tried the spicy bbq sauce which was to die for. Mac n cheese side was crazy creamy and full of flavor. Deviled egg salad tasted freshly made. Pulled pork sandwich was one of the best sandwiches we've had in a while, the meat was so flavorful and the bread was buttery and toasted to perfection. Our server was uber friendly and helpful. If your looking for true NC Carolina BBQ this is the place to go in Vegas/Henderson. They are small but pack a mighty punch with all their in-house sauces and sides, let's not forget about the tart little pickles. The "small family BBQ joint" feel like back east is a a big bonus for me. I had the pulled pork plate with a couple baby back ribs, a side of deviled eggs potato salad and Cole slaw. I used both the old fashioned and house BBQ sauces. I couldn't decide which one I liked more. The old fashioned had a bit more of a tomato base and the house was a bit more molasses. Both had a slight vinegar taste that I grew up with. The pulled pork was delicious and moist, the baby back ribs were served dry and unfortunately I would say the meat even after a heavy dose of sauce was still a bit dry all be it still delicious to taste! The potato salad was on point, nothing more to say it was great. The cole slaw had fantastic flavor I wish they had chopped the cabbage a bit smaller. One of my favorite touches are the absolutely delicious home made pickles! They tasted just like the ones my mom used to make. The staff was very friendly and attentive like you'd expect if it was a big corporate establishment. read more

Went with a group of friends for a total party of 12 on Sunday evening for dinner. Was completely blown away by the food. Everything was fantastic. To top it off, they opted to wait on us due to the size of the group. The pulled pork was perfect, moist and full of flavor. The brisket was really tasty and begged for their homemade BBQ sauce as the perfect compliment. A side of pork belly was an overindulgence, but it was fantastic and almost started a fight as people were trying to steal pieces! Any BBQ fan knows the staple sides, but Bell's takes it up a notch and goes gourmet on them. We didn't try quite everything, but each one we had was phenomenal. Mashed yams could easily be desert. Potato salad with the just right amount of egg. Crispy brussel sprouts were a huge favorite. Beans were rich and flavorful cooked with the brisket. Buffalo cauliflower was a surprising treat, and the okra fries were delicious. No one ordered a dessert jar, but I'm sure we will the next time. Do yourself a favor and check out Bell's. Without question the best BBQ in the area. Don't believe the hype about the cost - the price point is fantastic for the massive amount of food you get. In fact, I'm going to get takeout for dinner tonight. read more

Nevertheless, I made it to the door. Super cool fact is they also have outdoor seating which is kind of nice, but the real treasure lies within For starters, this place has a real rustic feel. Definitely warm and inviting, lots of tables to sit at. I was greeted warmly when I came in. Told her it was my first time and she was very excited. I was there and gave me the complete rundown of the place as well as her favorites on the menu. I opted for the tri-tip eggs Benedict.. which comes on their signature. Biscuits. Started things off with a cup of coffee. I don't know what brand they use but it was nice and strong and very delicious. The Benedict itself was truly a work of art. The hash browns were cooked to perfection, and whatever Hollandaise sauce they put on that thing is wonderful. I definitely should have asked for extra. The meat was Smoky and perfectly cooked, and made for a very delightful meal. Added bonus, they have a fully stocked bourbon bar that looked very appetizing. It was only 8:30 in the morning so I really didn't feel right about doing an old fashioned, but I will definitely be coming back here on a Friday night for their rib special and I'll have an old fashioned bin and report back. Bottom line? Everything here is wonderful. I have no complaints and it was a absolutely perfect for star meal. If you are anywhere in the area I say go check it out.

The Dam....Hot at first didn't taste hot but the burn snuck up on me within a few minutes my lips and tongue was on Fire!! After that I tried the Spicy it was sweet and tasty about the same hotness. Can't wait to come back. Sorry no pics as my hands and fingers were a BBQ Sauce mess. The fried Okra was pretty good and tasty Rolling Smoke gave me big portion. It's located off the Strip in a somewhat hidden, out-of-the-way plaza, which gives it more of a local, low-key feel. One thing I noticed right away was that the menu posted in the lobby didn't have prices, but the menu behind the register did. They have a huge selection of food, so there are plenty of options to choose from. We ordered the burnt ends, brisket, mac and cheese, chicken sliders, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and cornbread. The brisket was unfortunately overcooked, although the burnt ends were good. The meatloaf was okay but definitely not the best I've had. The mac and cheese was good, and the mashed potatoes were actually really good. The chicken sliders were just okay, and the cornbread didn't really stand out. Overall, I was a little disappointed because the reviews had me expecting something exceptional. Everything was decent, but honestly, the meal was pretty mediocre for me. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really blew me away either. I'd still give it four stars because there were several good items, the menu has a lot of variety, and our overall experience was fine. However, based on the ratings, I definitely expected more.

I love Texas barbecue Chicago BBQ, Carolina BBQ. There is so many good places that do meats. I usually don't go to chains because it just tends to be repetitious. But I do make an exception for Lucille's. I have been to this particular restaurant numerous times, and it never disappoints. Most of the time I go there for lunch, because they have such good lunch specials. One of the things I like is the diversity of meats that they have. You can get ribs, brisket, pulled pork, all kinds of goodness on a plate that will not break the bank. My usual go-to is the three meats, and I often pair it with a side salad to start.. just to pretend like I'm being healthy. I do have to brag on their sauces, they're spicy. Barbecue sauce is really really good and doesn't blow off the top of your head. It adds a nice spicy profile to the meat which is already smoked and charred to perfection. And can we talk for a moment about the banana pudding? It is the perfect capper for a meal and makes you feel like you are smack dab in the middle of the South. I highly recommend that you get the banana pudding even if you're on a diet. It doesn't count when you're in Lucille's. Bottom line? This is definitely one of my go-to barbecue places that is a chain restaurant. Of course you can find one-off barbecues around the Las Vegas valley, but when you're looking for consistent, good barbecue with great service and a complete complimentary line of needs and sides, Lucille's has you covered.

The Gritz Cafe -- Back Again, and Still Worth the Wait!…read more And YES... we're back at The Gritz Cafe! This time we decided on a Monday brunch, and apparently, everyone else had the same idea. The place was BUSY! The hostess added our name to the electronic waitlist and explained that we would receive a text when our table was ready, estimating about a 40-minute wait. We also had eight minutes to check back in once we received the notification. Well, we decided to use that time wisely! We pulled up the menu, looked over our options, and figured out what we wanted to try. No last-minute decision-making once we got seated. We received our text, checked back in, and were seated immediately. Our waitress, Jasmine, was GREAT! She took our order, and our food arrived in no time. Considering how busy the restaurant was, that was impressive. Now, let's talk about the food! The Sweet Potato Waffle was the STAR for me! It was delicious! You could actually see the sweet potato throughout the waffle, and you could taste it, too. It only needed a touch of syrup. That's when you know the flavor is already doing its job! We also tried the Butter Pecan Waffle, which was good and had some nice, generous chunks of pecans. And of course, I couldn't visit The Gritz Cafe without getting some grits! I ordered the fried Gritz bites with light salt and melted cheese. Y'all... DELICIOUS! My husband ordered the steak fries, which were nicely seasoned, along with fried catfish and fried shrimp. He enjoyed everything. Beyond the food, I have to give this establishment credit for how well they operate. The environment was pleasant, the employees were great, and even with the restaurant packed, the staff communicated well with one another. You could see the teamwork, and I suspect that's a big part of why things ran so efficiently. This is a GREAT brunch spot! And you never know who you might run into while you're there. There's definitely a little social scene happening along with the good food. Would we return? AGAIN AND AGAIN! At this point, The Gritz Cafe is becoming one of our go-to brunch spots.

The grits were good overall, but they weren't quite the star of the meal that I was hoping for. The shrimp was definitely the standout crispy, flavorful, and breaded perfectly. The catfish also had great flavor and a nice breading. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the yams were good, and the cornbread was amazing with the perfect butter ratio. The greens were okay, while the mac and cheese was a little bland for my taste. Overall, there were some great highlights, especially the shrimp, catfish, eggs, and cornbread. I would return for those! Be prepared to wait and they close the indoor seating typically at around 1:15pm. Your whole party has to be there before you are seated. It has the vibe of like what it would be like if you went to a restaurant down south cute and charming but bring your patience.

Took my family here, had heard about it, I live a block away, and I walked past it once and it was really charming inside with the decor and lighting. Wife and I both ordered the brisket, got the pulled pork for my little boy. The brisket tasted great but could have been hotter. I loved the bread it was served on. The battered fried onions were a great touch as well. Downsides? Why 3 stars? Well, all of our sides were warm. Warm is kind of an understatement actually. They were almost warm. I had grits for the first time in my life. I ordered the cheese and grits. It was a cup of grits with shredded cheddar on top. The chedder looked like it had just been grabbed out of a fridge or bowl. I was expecting it to be melted a little. It wasn't. The grits probably tasted good, but the almost warmness of them made me dislike them. My wife and my son got the mac n cheese. Wasn't impressed, it was bland and tasteless. It was also barely warm. The fries were great. Came in a neat little brown bag-basket with an assortment of potatoes and cuts (criss-cut, ridged, traditional, sweet potato, curly). Wife's mashed potatoes tasted good, but once again, the almost warmness of them was off-putting. We shared a red velvet jar. It made up for the warm sides. My wife loved my son's pulled port sandwich. Ultimately, I'll most likely go back at some point to try more things from the menu. The restaurant is charming and I enjoyed being there. I enjoyed most of my food as well. The bits I did enjoy, I really enjoyed. read more

My husband and I went out to eat here tonight. We were driving around aimlessly not knowing what we really wanted. We spotted this place and figured we would give it a shot since we hadn't had BBQ in quite a while. Family owned & operated which is something my husband and I love & do in our personal business as well. Reasonably priced. Food came out quick, presentation was nice, the food was BEYOND my expectations (BBQ is a hard food to master for some places) so delicious!! Staff is kind and personable. Very welcoming, helpful, with a comfortable and casual vibe. Even with the new COVID-19 things in place, it they did great. (Distanced seating, staff is wearing masks, the typical guidelines) Food and drinks delivered to your table. They check on you just enough to where you get what you need (refills, to-go containers, etc.) But you don't feel like your being "bugged". Perfect balance of customer service! Highly recommend. We will be repeat customers! #VegasStrong read more

We visited this spot hoping to try the beef rib, but unfortunately, it wasn't available that day. Instead, we went for the brisket, which turned out to be a bit dry and needed some sauce to enhance the flavor. The mashed potatoes were decent, but the "mac" n cheese, made with penne, didn't quite hit the mark for us. As for the sides, we skipped the baked beans and collard greens since they're made with pork. However, the fries were a delightful mix of straight-cut, criss-cut, curly, crinkle, and sweet potato, adding a fun variety to the meal. Despite some of the misses, we're still intrigued by a few other menu items. We definitely want to return to try the beef rib and pulled chicken. It's also worth noting they offer a beef hot link, though we didn't see any regular beef links. While we'd consider going back for takeout, we'd probably cook our own veggies at home to avoid the pork. Overall, there are enough promising options to warrant another visit. read more

Fries were a smaller portion, but there just wasn't any more room on the plate to fit more! The beer was fine, just standard domestic tap. That was a decent filling meal, if I lived around here, I'd be here 2 or 3 times a week! Service was fine.

Unfortunately she had an emergency and wasn't there which created a backlog for the only employee left who was trying to take care of the bar and tables. Despite it all she did a fair job of getting everyone taken care of. We did have to wait a while to order but the food came out quickly. The chicken wings were great and a good deal. 10 for $12.00. My first smash burger and not impressed but the fries were the best I ever had! The place was clean and had a big bar area. They have a semi separate area that must be for dinner. We would go back again for the wings and fries!

My wife was still chewing when our server took her plate, and another guest in our party was still eating as the server began clearing our table. In fact, she hadn't even finished her meal when we were brought the bill. Under normal circumstances, I appreciate not having to wait forever for the check. This, however, felt entirely different. The whole experience screamed, "Okay, people, you're done here. Time to go!" It felt like a polite way of kicking us out, and unfortunately, it put a damper on what otherwise would have been a fantastic dining experience.
