10/10 anytime I mention this place. The sweet potato waffle 100/10 omg! I'd come back just for that! The vibe is family friendly and family gathering. Service is 10/10 very friendly and patient. Highly recommended and when you try it get the sweet potato waffle you'll thank me later!!!

Yum, yum, and yummier! I've been dying to try this spot after hearing about the legendary wait times, so my colleague and I stopped by for lunch. We were seated in about 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all! Our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. We both ordered the catfish, grits, and waffles (I added eggs with cheese to mine). The waffle was hands-down the best we've ever had, and the catfish was so flavorful. I leveled up my grits with cheese, bacon, and spinach--chef's kiss! It was my colleague's first real soul food experience, and watching him "tear it up" was the highlight of the meal. I'll definitely be back!

So after such an unfortunate experience at First Watch earlier this morning. I decided to drive to Gritz Cafe where the energy, and vibes are always refreshing to me. The Hostesses and Servers are all very friendly, and welcoming. Schanel is my Server today, she was very patient she was not moody or rushy while I observed the revamped version of their new menu. Now I ordered the Three Egg Omelet. Just because it was soooooo gooodt last time I ate it here. The Succulent Shrimp comes either (grilled or fried). I went with grilled, light Cheddar Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms, Bell Peppers, Spinach, Grilled Onions, and Tomatoes. The First TWO ADD-INS are FREE, however each Addt'l is.$.98cents each. I'd never tried this particular Three Egg Omelet before and I'm glad I did. It had a ton of Succulent Shrimp pieces (big chunks). Everything was PERFECT, I ate All of my food. I normally have leftovers buuuuuut this breakfast was so darn tasty I had to clean my plate lmao. This'll always be a spot I recommend to tourists, visitors passing through, and folks who have lived in Vegas but never experienced Gritz Cafe cuisine. FYI: every desert item is not on this new menu

After hearing so much we finally made it out. I called on a weekend to hear that you gotta wait and they cut the line an hour before closing, so we took our chances with a Monday. Paid off. It was literally 8 mins between getting on the list and getting a table for two. There was a party of over 10 waiting. I felt for them, I think they ended up splitting into smaller groups bc otherwise it would've been some time. Even coming on a late Monday morning, it was packed! I love to see it! Ronnie helped check us in and later helped our server Princess, as she seemed swamped towards the end of our meal. Service was great though. We did the Kentucky and Mississippi plates. Sides were grits, greens, Mac and the butter pecan waffle (WORTH the up charge!) music was a bop. Stuff my mom played in the house. They even sang Stevie's version of hbd to a patron. Food. Mom's been looking for a wing that reminded her of my grandma and great grandmas. She said this was it. It was the perfect crisp, cook and flavor. The fish was also tasty. The butter pecan waffle was my favorite side. I've never had pecans in a waffle. It was truly everything. I'm craving one right now! The other sides were just ok. I'd be happy w some catfish and a butter pecan waffle! I guess I'm becoming a water snob. I drink a lot and didn't like theirs. Thankfully they had sparkling. Getting and paying the check took the longest. But I was jamming to the tunes. Princess and Ronnie were fabulous so I told the manager, Olivia. She shared that it was Princess' first day!!! Never would've guessed. It's far but I love supporting minorities in business. I'll definitely go back. I can't get that waffle outta my head.

This place is worth the wait! We came around 11am and waited inside for about 45 minutes to be seated. The cafe is a small and in a building that you won't find unless you're looking for it. We ordered the eggs & grits with catfish that was fried perfectly and hot delicious fried chicken with excellent collard greens and grits. I'd definitely return and order the same thing again!!!

Gritz Cafe lives up to the hype!! I had the 3 piece wings and waffle with the best Mac & Cheese that I had in quite a while. Side on the Hot Sausage Link

The food was amazing, the service was great, 40 minute wait but well worth it. They're ambience is chill inside and out.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a sales rep at the mall when I asked for suggestions and I was not disappointed. I loved the way the staff was friendly and worked together as a team. It did not matter if they were your server, they each checked on every table and assisted each other. The restaurant was small but efficient. The waitlist while I was there ranged from 15-40 minutes depending on the size of the party. Now let's get to the food! I wanted to try's a little of everything so the waitress suggested the big gritz breakfast which was fried fish, fried chicken, grits, eggs and of course a waffle! Yes, I added cheese to my eggs and grits. You talking about full, I couldn't finish it but was well pleased. Everything was very flavorful and NOT salty and hot out the kitchen. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Good food, good service, nice atmosphere I've never liked grits before, but this place changed my mind. I got a hotlinks gritz bowl with jalapeño, cheese, bacon, and fried egg. My family enjoyed the grits here too. Their portions are generous. Try the gritz bowl and add whatever you want on top. Extra toppings are only $.98 each... so really not a blocker. They mixed up some of our orders, but quickly fixed them. You won't leave here hungry. Coffee was okay, a bit weak. Very friendly and helpful staff. Really nice artwork adorned the walls.

Today was a gentle reminder of how meaningful the simple things can be. I finally had the opportunity to take my neighbor to Gritz Cafe for her very first visit. She had been a bit hesitant at first--having recently relocated from Chicago--and with life and schedules moving so quickly, it took us four months to make it happen. I truly appreciate her patience. As expected, the food was absolutely delicious, but what made the experience even more special was the warmth we received. The customer service was excellent, and Ms. Trina ( Owner) personally came out to greet her and welcome her to Las Vegas. It was such a heartfelt moment--one that reminded me how a simple outing can turn into something truly meaningful. I'm grateful I could share that experience with her and help make Vegas feel just a little more like home.

Of all the stops on our food crawl, Gritz Cafe was hands-down the most satisfying! Comfort food at its finest. I completely cleaned my plate--wings, gritz, greens, and mac 'n' cheese. We arrived a little after 12pm, so it was busy with a few people ahead of us and lots of pickup orders going out, but the wait was only about 10 minutes and absolutely worth it. We were so full after eating that we ordered a slice of sweet potato pie and peach cobbler to go. Our server even surprised me with a slice of cake when she found out it was my birthday--so sweet! Service was great all around. Gritz Cafe is definitely a must-stop for us every time we're in Vegas.

11/7/25 I actually saw this restaurant on Somebody Feed Phil. Shrimp Omelet with Potato and Toast was good Fried Porkchop with Grits, Collard Greens and Cornbread were so good! Just a bit too salty on the Collard but mixed it with grits and it was ok. Definitely a restaurant we would go back to the next time we're in Vegas.

My daughter has been talking about this place for a while now, and I finally wanted to check it out. We did, and the customer service was outstanding. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was so welcoming and sweet from the moment you walk in to when you leave. As for the food, because that's what this is about, right, it was a 10/10 for me. I ate everything but the plate; I might have eaten that too, but my son was watching . Anyway, check it out and make your own decision.

Don't be put off by the looks of the location. The site is in a kind of rundown strip mall-ish center with plenty of parking. Inside you order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Even with a line, service is friendly and wait times are pretty minimal. Their menu has a little of everything from beef ribs, brisket and sausage links to okra, corn nuggets and slaw. Seating is first come first serve and they have e quite a large dining area with plenty of tables with bench seats. Next to the soda machine are an abundance of different sauces that will appeal to even the pickiest of bbq eaters. For lunch we chose the 3 meat trio. We chose sliced brisket (it comes chopped if you don't specify) 1/4 dark meat chicken and hot links. For the included side, we chose the dirty rice. We added an extra 1/4 dark meat chicken and a side of cheesy mac and cheese. Wife and I split the brisket and hot links and we will usually have leftovers as they are generous with their portions. All the barbecue has rich and Smokey flavor. The brisket was tender and had a hive visible smoke ring around the edge. The links have nice heat that is not overpowering. The dark meat chicken is also tender and juicy. When you peel the skin back the meat underneath is glistening. Both the rice and macaroni complimented our protein selections. If I have one knock, the sides were merely warm and not hot. I think this as due to the volume of people there for lunch today. For sauce I chose their original and sweet mama varieties. They are very tasty and full of southern bbq influence. All-in-all, this is a great BBQ spot and centrally located for visitors to the Strip.

There's seating shared with the rest of the places in the food hall, and you order at the counter then self-seat. Service was fast and friendly. This is a super casual no-frills spot and food came out quick. Big portions (3 tender meal was enough to share between 2) and tasty drinks! PARKING : N/A -- we walked here since we were staying on the Strip and ended up at the Cosmo FOOD/DRINKS : Tenders - 3 big tenders served with 1 side and 1 sauce + slice of white bread - We got mid spicy but they had several other spice levels. The tenders were BIG and shareable, but not the juiciest and got a tad salty after eating for a while. Comeback sauce was really good to pair with everything though! For the side, we chose Pimento Mac and Cheese. So creamy and cheesy with good pimento flavor! A la Carte Side - We got some fries on the side and it was the best decision! The fries were thick cut, SO well seasoned, and stayed crisp despite sitting for a while as we ate. Big portion too! Peach Vodka Sweet Tea Slush - Had to get a boozy slush since we were in Vegas! But the breading is nowhere close to real Southern fried chicken. It's heavy, OVERLY greasy, and misses the mark completely. The ranch tasted bottled, the sweet tea wasn't fresh (straight dispenser vibes), and the peach cobbler had zero flavor only saved by the vanilla ice cream. It smells amazing walking up, but don't fall for it. $31 for a greasy, underwhelming meal with attitude on the side? Hard pass. Our waitress was super friendly and upbeat but she immediately let us know that there was only one order of fried chicken left if we wanted to order it. We were not ordering fried chicken so it wasn't an issue but I thought it was odd that this is an item they would run out of on a Sunday. I ordered the chicken fried steak which came with mashed potatoes and greens. My husband ordered the catfish dinner which came with hush puppies, grits and greens. The food arrived pretty quick and was hot. My chicken fried steak was just ok. The mashed potatoes were good and the greens were the worst I've had. It was like a pound of sugar in them. Caught me off guard. It was so sweet that it was inedible. My husband's fried catfish was prepared perfectly! (We asked for it to be fried hard) It was hot, fresh and well seasoned! The hush puppies were a bit dry and taste like they roll it in the same fish fry as the catfish as it had a slight fishy taste but the grits were amazing! It had a white gravy/sauce on top of it and it was just soo good! I had wished I ordered his plate even tho we swapped a few forkfuls. One thing I noticed was the menu had changed. Based on other yelp posts, there were items that I had in mind I wanted to try when I got there like the egg rolls. The menu is vastly downsized from when they first opened which was a bummer. Usually when a restaurant downsizes their menu by that much, it's usually a sign it won't be open much longer. So go while you can if it's a place you've been wanting to try. We paid almost $80 for 2 dinners (not including tip). We did not get drinks since we had been drinking earlier. The price wasn't too bad for a sit down restaurant inside a Vegas casino.

Out of the four drinks, only ONE was good. I don't remember all the names, but the golden one with Jack Honey was cool. The other three? Easy passes. For $42, that ain't it. 3/10 Appetizers: Now let's talk food. The biscuits are CRAZY. Soft, buttery, fresh, and that pepper jam takes it to another level. They even put the jam in the hush puppies which is a power move. 10/10 The crab cakes were fire too. All flavor, real crab meat, no filler nonsense. Definitely something I'd order again. 9/10 Main Plate: I ordered the fried fish with Brussels sprouts and mac & cheese. The fish was top tier. Fried perfect, seasoned right, crispy but not greasy. 8/10 The Brussels were mixed with sweet potatoes, good balance, good flavor, just nothing that made me lose my mind. 7/10 The mac & cheese wasn't for me. Thick cheese sauce but no real flavor behind it. Just kinda there. 4/10 Overall: All in all, it was a good experience. Great service, good food, and a solid atmosphere. Even with a couple misses, I'd still come back and try more off the menu. Nellie's definitely worth checking out.

Lola's A Louisiana Kitchen - Good Food, Just Watch the Add-Ons…read more We ordered the Roman trio and jambalaya, and overall the food was flavorful and enjoyable. The service was friendly, and the Louisiana-inspired decor is cute and adds to the charm of the place. One thing to be mindful of: when ordering, our waitress casually suggested or repeated add-ons in a way that could easily be mistaken as part of the original order. For example, we ordered the traditional jambalaya, which also has a "loaded" option for an extra $10. We clearly wanted the original, but she repeated it as "loaded." Thankfully, my husband caught it and corrected her before it went through. Later, we noticed another table was upcharged for potatoes without realizing they were an add-on. So just a heads-up--be very clear when ordering and double-check what's included versus extra to avoid surprises on the bill. Overall, the food and atmosphere are solid--just make sure to pay close attention when placing your order.
