Bought an LG washer dryer wash tower from Bellingham electric. They helped me pick out the perfect washer for me and the delivery guys were absolutely incredible. I was sure it would not fit or that they would end up scratching something, but they were so meticulous in pulling out the one that was there and putting in the brand new one with no scrapes rubs, scratchEd. Easy process from start to finish. I found a dishwasher online that was on sale, ordered it (the website tells you if the product is in stock), and delivery and installation was set up for the next week. BE uses local plumbers with very fair pricing. Delivery was $100 and installation was $200. I had a great experience with them when I purchased a washer/dryer from them years before so I am happy to say I am still a happy customer! read more

This is the first time that I have ever gone to Bellingham Electric and it certainly won't be my last. I purchased both a Refrigerator and a Stove and am very pleased with both. Most of all, I am pleased with the Customer Service that I received through out my experience. When I came into the store I was not bombarded with sales people, after a minute or so a very nice young man, I believe his name was Ryan came and asked if he could help me. I explained what I was looking for, and he showed me several appliances that he thought might interest me. Absolutely no pressure, and was happy to answer all my questions, may I add, very knowledgeable and professional about every item he showed me. After I selected what I wanted we talked about delivery and set up. Also, they offered zero interest for 12 months (how could you go wrong). They took my old and brought in my new, as simple as that. I didn't have to worry about how I was going to get rid of anything. I had a choice of whether of not if I wanted to use their plumber or my own. If I used theirs it would have been a little longer (only a couple of days) I used my own, because I was without a refrigerator. Everything went perfect form the day and time they said they were going to be here, to taking out and bringing in my appliances. I really have nothing but good to say about the WHOLE experience. We really like Bellingham Electric. Through the recommendation of my mother in law, we went there before heading to Home Depot and Lowes and we're sure glad we did. The service was knowledgeable, honest and forthcoming. The employees also seem like they stay with the company for a long time so that always speaks well for the company. We were ordering a fridge and since it was such a big purchase, we took our time to look at all the details - including stock options, sizing installation, delivery, etc. That was about a year ago and we are extremely pleased with our purchase! We recently had to call because a piece broke off that affected the door and they came out within a couple days to fix it (and it took 10 minutes!). We recently returned to the store to purchase a microwave and were in and out within 15 minutes. Yes, a microwave was an easier purchase but because we already felt secure and comfortable with the company, it was easy to decide. Highly recommend them! read more

Just went to this store to see if they had a small part (a spring) for my dryer and was spoken to in such a condescending manner by the employee at the parts desk around 12:15 today. I don't know a lot about dryers, so I assumed that I could go into a store like this and feel comfortable getting the help that I needed. The man at the parts desk was so unbelievably rude and unhelpful. It's totally fine and understandable if you don't have the part that I need--but he made me feel stupid for even asking (as if they don't sell many many brands of dryers and parts or something). He couldn't even be bothered to suggest somewhere that I could possibly go to find said spring, even though I'm sure he had some type of idea-- I hope this older man can be coached on his customer service because no one should have to feel this way over a simple issue. My wife and I moved back to RI in 2011, rented for a year and bought our last house. We needed to purchase a double oven, refrigerator, cooktop and dishwasher. Bought all of these from Bellingham Electric. Best thing we ever did.. Awesome sales people, GREAT prices, fast delivery and great deliverymen. When our dryer quit working, it was a no brainer where we went. Bellingham Electric. Salesman took the time and explain all the different dryers. But I want an American made product and we purchased a Speed Queen. Another great investment. Truth be told, I can not wait for my clothes washer to break down now. Had an issue with my dryer making a terrible, terrible noise and got in contact with BE for a quote to fix it. They were out to fix it in 2 days and was able to complete the job quickly and no more annoying squeak...even cleaned the rollers that would have caused me a problem in the future at no charge, appreciate that. Bellingham Electric has been my go to store for appliances for many years. We have bought many appliances, sent family and friends, couldn't be stopped from telling them how great they are. They're sales staff has been great, delivery and setup - no issues. For the first time ever, I had to call for service today. COMPLETELY, different experience!! Had I known, I'm not sure I would have been such a loyal customer. Because they were so good on the sales side, I assumed service would be similar. NOT EVEN CLOSE. The service manager couldn't have been less helpful. I was basically told over the phone, "I can't fix that, and I haven't got anyone trained to fix that, here's a phone number for another appliance business they should be able to help you". After not receiving a call back from the other business, I reached back out. The service manager was clearly agitated that I would bother asking for help...he gave me the solution to my issue and the should have been good enough. So much for buying from a place that touts such great service when you're about to buy. As I read the bad reviews, there seems to be a theme - the service manager. It's a real shame, I thought this place was a gem - until I needed service. I won't be back. read more

Update: I am giving 3 stars(original review was 1) because I did receive a call the same day that my check was ready. Quick response by management. Unfortunately, they still have a sales issue. Went in and ordered a dishwasher. Was told there were two similar models. One, they had no idea when would be in because it was so back ordered and the other that they could have by the end of the week. We ordered the one we could have by the end of the week. We paid for the item and was told that the installer would call by the end of the week to arrange an installation date. The call never came. I waited til the following Tuesday and called. Was told by Mike that the item is back ordered and they do not know when it will come in. I informed Mike that is why we ordered the one we did. He transferred me to accounting. I asked for a refund and was told they would write us a check (even though we paid in cash). Ok, I'll be there to get the check. But wait there's more: The owner has to sign the check and he's not here. So now not only do I not get the dishwasher, I have to search for another store (other than HD or L - I try to shop small businesses) and I also have to find whatever bank they use to cash the check. Who knows WHEN I'll even get the check. If its anything like the dishwasher, I won't get it until July. Stay away. You have been warned. read more

Two repairs (dryer + fridge) at two separate times & both times the service was outstanding! The response is always immediate and the tech shows up on time & even calls with a firmer ETA. The dryer repair was a simple fix with no parts & just a service charge. The fridge was a service charge + parts but two weeks later the problem resurfaced. I called them & they came out the same day (literally 2hrs from the call) and did some additional service work for no additional charge. They stood behind their repair & said if the issue persists to call us. GREAT service & VERY knowledgeable! I saw some negative review for their being a $90 service charge. They are not a charitable organization, their time is valuable & they must make money like all businesses to stay afloat. So they are supposed to pay an employee to give a free estimate & so people can be cheap and not use them?! If you want free service calls then fix it yourself, this is a solid company! read more

This place is AWESOME! My washer broke down, it was quite old so not worth repairing. I called Bellingham Electric and Terry answered on the third ring. VERY polite. I asked if they sold used washers and he said no, sorry we only sell new. I said, ok, and was ready to hang up when he said, "we have great deals on new" I said well I don't have a lot of money. He said "come on down, ask for me, I'll show you some GREAT deals." I looked at a few, but what I could Afford, and what I actually wanted, the price was a couple of hundred dollars more. The one I liked was $799!! Which was a good price because i've been looking at washers for about a week. I said that I could not afford $799 and Terry said don't worry we have a sale coming up and I'm going to give you the sale price today so you can go home and start washing immediately. We left with the Frigidaire, stainless steel tub 4.1 ft.³ of space, etc...we were out the door for $508.28!!!!! This place is highly recommended, they really care about the customer, and they really know their appliances. And they're not afraid to give a good deal to keep a customer coming back don't go anywhere else call this place first, I am very picky And these guys are top notch!! read more

This company takes the cake for top notch sophisticated customer service. I was shopping around for a new dishwasher and tried the big box stores and the delivery was like 2 weeks out. I tried a few smaller places and then came across this place. Not only did they do research to track down the correct dishwasher, they ordered it for a day later and had it installed same day. The customer service was excellent not only from Todd the manager but every person I spoke to and the installer Jordan was exceptional. It's really nice to do business with a local family run outfit, especially when the same folks are working there each time you go in, such as Terry in the showroom.
