Two repairs (dryer + fridge) at two separate times & both times the service was outstanding! The response is always immediate and the tech shows up on time & even calls with a firmer ETA. The dryer repair was a simple fix with no parts & just a service charge. The fridge was a service charge + parts but two weeks later the problem resurfaced. I called them & they came out the same day (literally 2hrs from the call) and did some additional service work for no additional charge. They stood behind their repair & said if the issue persists to call us. GREAT service & VERY knowledgeable! I saw some negative review for their being a $90 service charge. They are not a charitable organization, their time is valuable & they must make money like all businesses to stay afloat. So they are supposed to pay an employee to give a free estimate & so people can be cheap and not use them?! If you want free service calls then fix it yourself, this is a solid company! read more

This place is AWESOME! My washer broke down, it was quite old so not worth repairing. I called Bellingham Electric and Terry answered on the third ring. VERY polite. I asked if they sold used washers and he said no, sorry we only sell new. I said, ok, and was ready to hang up when he said, "we have great deals on new" I said well I don't have a lot of money. He said "come on down, ask for me, I'll show you some GREAT deals." I looked at a few, but what I could Afford, and what I actually wanted, the price was a couple of hundred dollars more. The one I liked was $799!! Which was a good price because i've been looking at washers for about a week. I said that I could not afford $799 and Terry said don't worry we have a sale coming up and I'm going to give you the sale price today so you can go home and start washing immediately. We left with the Frigidaire, stainless steel tub 4.1 ft.³ of space, etc...we were out the door for $508.28!!!!! We stood around for over 20 minutes...still no one acknowledged us. So we left and went to Lowe's. My wife and I have been satisfied customers of Bellingham Electric for over 20 years. Their customer focus is second to none. Recently I stopped in to set up a service call on my stacked washer/dryer in my in-law apartment above our garage. The dryer was producing heat, but just not enough. Service Dept told me they were 90% sure the problem was a lint build up in the vent hose. I went home and checked and the vent hose was completely stuffed. I simply replaced the vent hose. A simple suggestion from them took money out of their pockets and saved it for me. This kind of customer service is lost in todays' profit first mentality. This company takes the cake for top notch sophisticated customer service. I was shopping around for a new dishwasher and tried the big box stores and the delivery was like 2 weeks out. I tried a few smaller places and then came across this place. Not only did they do research to track down the correct dishwasher, they ordered it for a day later and had it installed same day. The customer service was excellent not only from Todd the manager but every person I spoke to and the installer Jordan was exceptional. It's really nice to do business with a local family run outfit, especially when the same folks are working there each time you go in, such as Terry in the showroom. I went in looking for a new range. I had seen one online in the clearance section and thought would be perfect. We were greeted by terry who was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately he told me the range I was looking for had been sold. He showed me similar ranges in about the same price range and gave me a discount on the one I chose to bring it closer to the one I had initially come to see. It was delivered and installed within 3 days (I bought on Friday and it was delivered on Monday). The delivery guys were awesome. Showed me how to operate and tested to be sure it worked. I cannot begin to tell you how satisfied I am with Bellingham Electric. I had bought appliances from them years ago, and even then, their company was spot on. I needed to replace an old washer and dryer and decided to have them installed in my upstairs rather than my basement. We bought stackables. The day before delivery, Bellingham called to say one of the appliances in my order was damaged. But because I had purchased them about a month earlier, they were going to upgrade them so that I could still have my delivery the following day. Impressive! Once here the next day, and on time, the two servicemen were professional, courteous and super great installers. It was a tricky install and one service person literally had to climb in behind the appliances to plug it in. All this, with a smile. From the moment I walked into their showroom to the complete install was above and beyond great! They came to my house to repair our refrigerator which my Mom had purchased here several year ago from them. Service response was quick and friendly. However we were advised that it was a costly repair. Service charge was $90. So we went to the showroom to purchase another one. Three employees were there and only one other customer who kept walking in and out. But two of the employees waited on her. After never even being acknowledged, even when I went to the counter. I told my Mother lets go and we left. Poor customer service. Had someone at least said I'll be right with you or even made eye contact then they would have had our $2000 purchase. Our refrigerator was leaking water and the ice-maker wasn't working. We called Bellingham Electric on the recommendation of neighbors. The technician came out the same day. He went to the source of the problems right away. He fixed the ice maker ordered a part for the leak, came back the day and installed it. They came out to fix our fridge and the technician was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to fix everything and educated me along the way. I just had them back out today to install a new microwave and the technicians were able to get this done within a very short time and they were very friendly as well. They called me throughout the day to keep me apprised of when they would be arriving. Their prices for repairs are extremely reasonable and the work they do is excellent. Bellingham electric will be the only place I buy appliances from now on. The staff is extremely helpful and is willing to work with you until you have what you need. My husband and I bought all of our appliances except our stove at bellingham electric. The only reason we didnt buy our stove from them was that I didnt know of the store just yet. We bought our stove from Poirier in Norwood and I have to say it was an awful experience. No one wanted to help and they were just plain rude. Total opposite of my experience at Bellingham Electric! We purchased a washer & dryer last week. Alex, our sales rep, answered all our questions and was able to help us choose the right set for our needs. This store is small enough to offer personal service, yet large enough to offer a wide selection of appliances. Delivery was quick and on-time. Very professional installers were courteous and did a fabulous job. They also removed our old washer/dryer. It's a long walk from our driveway to our steep bulkhead stairs, to the opposite side of our basement. They moved our new appliances in, and old appliances out without complaint, in fact they really seemed to enjoy their job! I have never written a bad review of a place...until now. I never heard of this place. We were buying a condo that uses them for appliances. We went, picked out appliances and paid for our share of the bill. The condo builder was responsible for a part of the bill (an allowance towards appliances). We move in, appliances installed, things are great. A couple months in we get an invoice. Its for the exact amount that the builder was responsible for so I ignore it. We are into December now, another bill shows up. Then a phone call. I speak with Terry. I tell him, that's the exact amount the builder was responsible for, he sounds a little confused and then says your right and sends them an invoice. They respond stating that they already paid it. Last communication was a few days before Christmas. I was emailed the rebate forms that I should have received right from the beginning. Again, it was good so far. Sent the rebates in. For some reason this morning the bill was sitting on my desk so I checked it out (I mean I paid my part months ago, they had my card info, where is the confusion). Turns out they subtracted what the builder was responsible for twice. So I did owe them. I responded to Terry's email and explained this and asked him to call me when they opened. That call didn't come. Instead some collection agency was calling and texting me to call them asap or a mechanics lien was going to be put on my property... at first I thought it was a scam so I ignored it. The second time it happened I said what the heck and called. Told the person I thought it was a scam. He then explained it was from Bellingham Electric.... Wait whaaaa? No heads up, no threatening letter, no phone call, no email, no nothing, just this. If I didn't call my credit was going to be screwed. That's a bit extreme for something that was THEIR FAULT!!! This place doesn't seem to be that bad , so if you do go, just be careful, they don't seem to have it together, and take very extreme measures (even when they are the ones at fault) read more

Terrible customer service. My washing machine is two years old. In the last few months it was not draining or rinsing and making a loud noise. I called and the "repair" man was miserable, very rude and not knowledgeable. Three service calls and the machine still not fixed. He said it was because it was a low end model and he insinuated I was making the problem up. I called and spoke to a "manager" to complain and he did not seem to care. A few weeks later and my machine is not working. If they gave me a new washer for free I would say no. I did go elsewhere and bought a new washer. I purchased an LG front loading stackable washing machine from this store in August. It has never been right and has had several service calls. Now Bellingham Electric refuses to service it because they have been out to my house too many times. LG has been very unhelpful, this machine is a lemon and should be replaced. I would not shop at Bellingham Electric as they will not stand behind their installation and products they sell. read more

Bought a dehumidifier today, 15 minutes before closing. Salesman that helped me was knowledgeable, friendly and even knocked off 10% off the price of the unit (even though we are going through a heat spell and dehumidifiers were hard to come by). Just purchased new appliances from Bellingham Electric and the process from sales to install was excellent. I have used them in the past and had similar experience. Sales people are friendly and knowledgable and spend lots of time with you if you need help deciding like I did. Delivery people come when they say they are coming and are polite and helpful. Repair/service people are great on the phone if you have a question. It is so much better to go there than to a big box store and know they have a solid service department for any future issues. read more

We have used Bellingham Electric for all our appliance needs for at least 15 years. They have made good suggestions and have stood behind their products. They arrive when they say they will and give good information about the appliances. We have had them repair some appliances and again, they arrive on time and call before the appointment to let us know they are on their way. The staff is familiar because they have been there forever and we feel like we know them personally. That includes the repair staff. They are also very competitive in their pricing. Even though we use them for all our appliance purchases, we shop around for price and they have always been competitive. The salespeople, although knowledgeable, misinform you about their "service after the sale" and are more than willing to sell you discontinued items off the floor without letting you know. I will never deal with this company again. I called Bellingham Electric to check a squeaking noise in the washing machine in my tenant's apartment. The "repair" man completely ignored my tentant, a highly experienced mechanic who had examined the machine himself. When he tried to explain what was causing the noise, the repairman took (literally) one look at the machine and decided the problem was that it was too low to the floor, even though it had worked perfectly in the same position for years. He adjusted the legs, didn't check whether the noise was still happening, charged me $90, and left. Ten minutes, tops. The next time my tenant did laundry the squeak was exactly as it had been before. When I called Bellingham Electric to say that the noise was not fixed, I was told that the repairman said the machine was "too old and that nothing could be done about it." That's pretty strange, considering that the machine works perfectly, except that it makes a squeaking noise during the wash cycle. Of course, it makes total sense if you're really trying to sell people new machines instead of fixing their old ones. read more
