Pavel picked up on the first call and just happened to be in the area, and was able to stop by. Our oven was recently serviced yesterday by Mario's Reconditioned Appliance Inc because the ignitor died on it. So we used it last night for dinner and noticed an odd smell, we chalked it up to must be from the new part. As I'm using the oven today I'm like no something is definitely burning. Sure enough i open the broiler and boom there's a melted power tester, batteries and all just sitting there. An obvious fire hazard. My step father then calls them telling them this and here is the response from the 'owner' (person claimed to be owner using ' just in case it's not). "What would you like me to do? I'm the owner and I did the job, do you want me to fire myself?" Then the 'owner' proceeded to joke " Would you like me to cook you dinner?" Then even went so far as to joke "You think you're upset, I just lost a $150 tool." Those who don't know what a power tester is, it's a cheap small tool that beeps/flashes of there's power in something you touch it to, it costs about $20 for most higher quality types. Including pictures of the melted one and one that's pretty spot on from Walmart for $6 (if I'm able to include pictures). Disgusting how people can make so light of endangering an entire household. What if it was my grandfather starting that oven and then going back to his room? Sure i caught it before the was a fire, but what if I didn't, how funny would they find that then? People make me sick. Those were very unprofessional responses.
