So, first time home owners, in our house for less than three months, in the midst of the global coronavirus pandemic, with my husband laid off, and our well tank shits the bed at 6:00 p.m. on a Friday night. It's supposed to snow overnight, with 7-9 inches likely. My husband is panicked. He calls Todd at Brodeur Pump Co. after Googling well services in our area (keep in mind we just moved to the area and know nothing and no one). Todd tells my husband he'll be over first thing in the morning. We were pretty happy with that. Then, a half hour later, Todd calls my husband back and asks if we mind if he comes that night. Do we mind???? Umm, no, we don't mind! Todd and his teenage son, Austin, were there for about 2-3 hours, late at night, in the cold, and had our water up and running that night. They were very knowledgeable, did their due diligence before deciding on what the actual issue was, and the price they charged us was MORE than reasonable considering the circumstances. I can't say enough about this local, family owned and operated business. It brings me joy to know this father is teaching his son a trade, how to run a small business, etc. This country was built that way, on those principals, and it's so nice to see that continue. Todd and Austin are looking out for the people in their community and really helped us out of a jam. We are very grateful for their time and attention. read more

We woke up in the morning to find out water was not flowing and heard about Todd through a referral. I called him, and he immediately responded saying he would be with us today. He showed up, diagnosed the problem and replaced our well pump. But IN ADDITION to that, he walked us through our water tank, showed us tricks and how to replace the filter (which he also replaced with no extra charge). Since we are totally new to the area, totally new to owning a well, this was so helpful and also above and beyond service. read more

I made an appointment with Todd Brodeur to check out my well. He never showed up for the appointment and never called.

I am very very very impressed with Brodeur Well's customer service. They are stand up guys and I can tell they care about their customers and their work. I definitely recommend them over the more "popular" well companies in MA. I also like supporting family owned businesses. Our pump was running non stop and I needed someone to come to our home quickly since we were about to fly out to California. The "popular well company" in town wouldn't even return my calls and when I did get a hold of somebody, their phone operator was very dismissive and tried to tell me there was a leak in our plumbing or irrigation. I'm surprised because they were the ones the previous homeowners used for our home's well maintenance (that's a separate Yelp story). I got fed up with the "popular well company" so I called Brodeur who was super responsive and was willing to help us out in such short notice. Brodeur was highly recommended by the housewives in our town and our realtor told me that we were in great hands since Brodeur does excellent work and that they had helped my realtor with a few well jobs before. Todd and his team tried multiple tests and helped us determine that the pump was running constantly not because we were running out of water but because the well pump installed by "the popular well company" had such low horsepower that it couldn't achieve pressure. They installed a brand new and stronger well pump and also found out that "the popular well company" left a really old pump in our well so there were actually two pumps in there. It was probably left down there because it was difficult to fish out. Anyway, they fixed everything for us and now our well pump is not running continuously so it no longer racks up our energy bill. Todd also checked with us later in the day to ensure everything was running smoothly and also told me to call him in a few days and update him on how the new well pump is running. If you want honest, responsive, excellent customer service for your well, definitely call Brodeur. They definitely have our business from now on! P.S. Our house was struck by lightning and it fried our water softener and neutralizer. We decided to call Todd because of a recommendation; and we are so glad we did. Todd was personable and knowledgable. He immediately gave us the information on what we needed, and we hired him for the job. He got back to us even when we contacted late hours. He and his crew were quick, clean, and informative! Todd was so friendly and engaging to our two toddlers as well, which was nice to see! After 21 years, our well water storage tank decided to call it quits and sprung a leak -that forced an emergency call to Todd at Brodeur Pump on a Saturday morning. In one hour and ten minutes from the time I made the call to the time Todd drove away, the job was complete! Tank, line, gauge and other necessaries were replaced. Please take the time to read my full review. DO NOT USE THIS PUMP COMPANY UNDER SBY CIRCUMSTANCES!! Four years ago I bought a home in Blackstone and detected radon in our well water. Being an anesthetist in the health care profession I am aware of the significant increase in lung cancer due to radon in your air and water. I discussed a well, softener, filtration and aeration system for the radon concerns with Todd Brodeur. He explained to me and my boyfriend about the installation and the fact that the system needed to be aerated above the roofline to prevent inhalation by any children playing in the yard. He completed the system. When I was paying him for the job, I asked him again if the system he installed would take care of the radon in my water. He assured us that it would and offered to repeat the water quality test in a few months. This of course was never done but we felt confident that our home was safe and our water and air healthy. Til now. I recently put my house on the market. The buyers called Todd to ask for verification that the system does in fact remedy the radon situation. He denied it at that point and said he has never done that kind of a system. Checked with the town and he also never pulled required permits. I was both shocked and upset. Still cant believe I was deceived about something I felt so strongly about. So consequently we have been exposed to elevated radon levels n my home for the past 4 years. Radon in your water and exposure to the air in your home can increase your risk of lung cancer up to 20%. This is not something to be taken lightly. Not only that but I'm out $6000 for a system that doesn't do the job it was explain to us to do. Brodeur Pump gets a one star because that's the minimum I can give. Todd gets 1 star for his ability to talk up a good game. He is deceptive, fraudulent and not willing to accept accountability for his actions. Save yourself a whole lot of grief and health risks and go with any other pump company but Brodeur. read more

Bottom Line: Honest business man worth doing business with. I purchased a house a year and a half back and after another review of the home inspection I discovered that the well water was never tested and I was horrified. I was looking at our water system in the basement and it had a Brodeur Pump sticker with their contact information. On my day off, I gave them a call and was immediately pleased with the level of attention and customer service. Mr. Brodeur was on a call in the next town over and said he would be able to stop by after. An hour or so later, he arrived and inspected my water filtration system, walked me through how it worked, changed the filters and took a water sample for testing. I received the results less than 3 days later and discovered that there was bacteria in the water. Mr. Brodeur came back out to my house the following day, replaced the well cap (per my request) cleaned the well and treated the water. During his initial visit he recommended I replace the water filtration system. It was installed by the previous home owner and was not adequate for the house. Given that all my faucets and toilets have water stains and corrosion I trusted his recommendation but wanted to wait for after the holidays. Within the next three weeks I had a different vendor cleaning out my furnace. I got an even better understanding of how all the systems in the basement were intimately intertwined. The vendor (without knowledge of what Mr. Brodeur told me) gave me the exact same explanation and recommendation. The system should be replaced and was causing damage and not functioning properly. I was now even more convinced that the work needed to be done. I gave Mr. Brodeur a call back and found out he was also performing work on my neighbors well (which made me feel even better about the quality of service as my neighbor is very knowledgeable about home improvements). Mr. Brodeur was able to come back and replace my system within a weeks' time (after the holiday). He came today, on time, and replaced my entire system in three and a half hours. He walked me through how everything works, ran my water, cleaned up and removed the old system and gave me bags of salt for the water system. I am very impressed with the level of friendly & reliable service I have received. Highly recommend and will be using Brodeur in the future for maintenance. read more

My pump went. Called Brodeur Pump after 5:30. Todd answered and came the next morning before 8:00. Installed a new pump and wire. We had the water back by 11:00. Excellent service and customer friendly. read more

Do not use this company - we called for service because of a particular problem, Todd Brodeur said that our well needed to be replaced. He replaced the well which did not solve the original problem, he charged more than $850 more than other estimates that I later got for well replacement. The work did not fix the problem and was extremely over priced. read more

I would strongly advise against using Brodeur Pump. I set up for Todd Brodeur to fix our well a month before closing on a new house. I called for two weeks post closing and he was unresponsive. On the last attempt, he hung up on me. He is extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I have since heard of similar experiences form two other people. read more
