I feel the pricing was more than Fair--would definitely call them in the future.

So, a leaking water heater is what my story is all about and it started with my colleague recommending him [he was very please with Gauthier's service last March] I wanted an AO Smith [GPVT-50 LP] to replace my leaking State Water Heater, now Greg's team do some of these installs but primarily Bradford White make water heaters, he still listened to why I was so picky and went ahead and tried to find me one. In the meantime, we had a little mis-communication and his team was at my doorstep at 7:45 am as promised with a different capacity water heater and this being the 3rd day of no hot water, I was not please... Greg listened again, his team had already started cutting the pipes and after I refused to continue... They without making a facing or saying a work, put in the necessary precautions to avoid water or gas leak, cleaned the place and left. Bottomline, good people to work with.

I called them and their answering service said they would have their on-call tech give me a call !5 minutes later I received a call. He asked if I had shut the main water shutoff valve off, I told him I had just moved into the house and did not know where it was. He instructed me where and what to look for in my basement. I found it and shut the water. He told me he could come out that evening but if I could get through the night and wait till the next morning, I could save 50% on the labor charge since overtime rates were mandatory. They sent a tech at 8:30 the next morning and within 2 hours the piping was replaced, and he installed some insulation to prevent future freezing of the pipe section. Very professional operation. Thanks, Steve L.

I found out later he was not even licensed! Then I tried BEI Plumbing, run by Bob Bernstein. One of the things immediately apparent is that he does it by the book. He will not do poor, non-code compliant work. He has bailed me out of a few plumbing emergencies and he is a busy man because he does such good work at a reasonable price. Plumbing ain't cheap but Bob fixes it and fixes it right, with his personal guarantee. The work he has done for me was residential but he does big scale and commercial jobs as well.
