I bought an LG electric range from JTs back in Nov 2024. Within a month JTs was out 3x to fix this brand-new range. New sensor didn't work, recalibrating oven temp x2 didn't work. It was obvious from the start that the stove was unreliable and unpredictable. It was too hot and burned a lot of food. Also, in January, a small flame developed while cooking Italian sausage. Mr JT said he fixed the oven, but clearly, he did not since it continued to burn cookies, pies etc. I especially did not like how I was treated (not returning calls in a timely manner and having to call to remind JTs to return my calls). JTs eventually offered to pay me half of what the stove cost. However, I thought this was an unfair bargain, and I requested full reimbursement which he was unwilling to give. I had bought 2 appliances in the past and thought my loyalty would count for something. Current news has informed us that over 500K LG stoves were recalled recently due to safety problems and fires. I eventually was reimbursed by LG. I would go to Whitco in Spencer MA, or Bousquet in Willimantic. Both have nice salespeople and Whitco said they would have taken the stove back if it was as problematic as that LG. read more

Save your time and money. Go to Bousquets. Needed a washing machine repaired. JTs came out charged me for the diagnostic fee and then "ordered" the part which was on infinite backorder. Then tried to sell me a new wash machine and would only charge $50 disposal fee for me 3 year old appliance. After a month and the 4th time was told my part was on backorder with no delivery date without enough time to look it up, I called 2 other places, they both told me the part was available from their supplier and could be completed in a week. Called back JTs asked them to double check the part status and was told it's not available still on back log. Canceled my order and magically something could be done. Happy i canceled my order even though I'm out the diagnostic fee glad. read more

My 1yr few month old gas dyer from Lowe's stopped working. JT Appliance determined that the dryer had the Natural Gas fitting instead of the required Propane fitting I needed which was blowing my heat sensor. This was an error by Lowe's as we informed Lowe's we had a propane setup and they simply dropped it off as it was saying it was all set. JT Appliance was excellent to deal with which is unheard of now a days. Quick with service, courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and great pricing. I'll be going with them for future service and/or new appliances! read more

AS I HAVE SAID WE DO RINSE OUR DISHES AS OUR OTHER DISHWASHER LASTED 16 YEARS DUE TO THIS FACT!! Bought a faulty dishwasher from them that will not work after a year and 3 months. Came to fix and put a paper clip in holes of sprayers and charged me for that. Yes there were 4 Boba in the bottom and grease I claim as well as they will tell you. They will claim we do not rinse our plates but we always have. Our last dishwasher lasted 16 years. Proof we rinse. Also if there is grease the logical answer to that is the unit is not heating/working. The heat and soap dissipate the grease and clear the dishwasher. They will not come fix nor will they replace unit without me paying more and again. Customer service horrible. Blaming the customer for a faulty dishwasher. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM!! read more

Honestly, I find some of the complaints of JT's Appliance to be really remarkable. JT's Appliance is a local gem, a precious and reliable resource. We moved to Putnam six years ago, and since then have made four service calls: once to repair a 10-year-old washer/dryer combo we inherited from the former owner, and three other times when various parts of our refrigerator needed to be replaced after power outages/surges that are common in our neighborhood: a new logic board, a replacement ice maker, and a reprogramming. We liked them so much that we considered them when we upgraded our dishwasher earlier this year, and chose to buy from them: we paid the same price as "discount" warehouse stores, and we got delivery and installation plus removal of the old washer at a much lower price than the competition. JT staff are courteous and attentive, honest and RELIABLE. And isn't it better to pay a few hundred dollars to repair a $1500-3000-dollar appliance than to pay for a new replacement? JT's is an OUTSTANDING local resource. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

Bought a scratch and dent refrigerator from this store. We were able to buy it at a lower price than I've found anywhere. It was 40% lower than the retail price, and the only dent was a small, almost unnoticeable dent on the back. It also still has its full manufacturer guarantee. The person working there brought it out and helped put it in our truck. They were extremely helpful, courteous, and offered a price that couldn't be beat. I recommend this place. read more

This business is run by a scam artist. Joe lies, is rude to his employees and customers, and is untrustworthy. We have purchased a number of appliances that were recommended by him and his staff. They offer free installation, but once the sale is made they look for excuses not to install. They once broke an appliance at delivery and attempted to install it with duct tape over a crack instead of replacing what they had broken. They acted like I was unreasonable for insisting on a new one. Recently, when our $700 (2 year old) dishwasher broke they said the part was back ordered 10 weeks. They never called, and when I reached out to them 3 months later they said they'd check on it. A week later no response! I called again and was told that there was actually no ETA on that part. If I wanted it I should go find it myself, but if I did, they wouldn't install it! The owner literally yelled from across his store for me to go find it myself. His customer service skills are nonexistent. He is rude, and I would never allow him in my home again. Do yourself a favor and stay away from JT Appliance! read more
