I think Wickford has good prices for their appliances and good delivery, they just need to get their customer service department to a place that we as a consumer does not to have to resort to poor review. Will I go to Wickford again, Of Course, because they do have a good representation of appliances. And I want to thank the manager for finally looking into this matter, it would have been better if you would have answered my husband's phone calls instead, but I give you credit for responding to my review. (Old Review) I am extremely disappointed with Wickford's customer service. We bought a refrigerator from them, the delivery went fine, but we were charged $139.99 for installation. The installer came took off a plastic piece and never installed anything. We understand they have to pay the person to come, but we feel over charged for this because they never replace any of the water piping for the new refrigerator. When we called for a partial they said they would call us back - we waited - we had to call them twice before we received an answer. There customer service is terrible and they do not care about the consumer.

They cancel installations, cancel services, and their sales people don't know their products. Really frustrating. We won't be going back. This means that all you home baking novices and experts can buy the same stuff at the same price that many of your favorite bakeries around town use. Best of all you get Larry, the 3rd generation proprietor of this family owned business. He's super chatty and friendly and even talked me out of a sale of some random amusing gadget that he knew I probably wouldn't have much use for (except for collecting dust or accidentally impaling my klutz self). I love specialty shops like this, this one is a gem. Forget the crap you buy at the standard kitchen retail shops and check this spot out. One note: this place has very limited hours. It's basically a one-man operation, and when Larry isn't in the shop, he's out making deliveries to his clients all around New England.

Terrible experience. We purchased our home in September and needed a stove and fridge. We looked…read morethis place up and decided to stop in. We found a brand new Samsung gas stove and an older, but gently used, Whirpool fridge. We love the stove and got a great deal on the fridge. It was delivered first week of November. We were happy. ...Until 2 months later when the freezer stopped working. We called Danudy, the owner/manager, and he came out and told us we had some ice which needed to be melted in the freezer. He charged $40 and was on his way. 3 weeks later, the fridge was now no longer cooling. I called Danudy a couple times and he told me that he was on a job and he would call me back. I never got a call. I proceeded to call and text him over 8 times and had my girlfriend call another 4 times and leave voice messages. No response. After having my parents try, he finally said he'd come on March 29th, and never showed. I called him that evening and was able to agree to have him come on Apr 4th at 10am. He came and looked at the fridge for 30 minutes. He said it was the computer for the thermostat (we knew this because we had someone else come look at it). He said he might have a replacement for it at his shop or that he would order it. He said either way he'd contact in in an hour. It's been 3 months since the fridge has worked and 4 days since he told me he would call and we are done. We ordered a new piece from a different person and will be taking him to small claims court to pay for what we spend on this repair. Classic case of a perfect deal not being perfect at all.
