Service request for a Subzero refrigerator. Was diagnosed as "not repairable" and you need a new unit because parts are not available for the model. Got calls from their sales rep offering new refrigerator model instead of receiving a written report as promised of the issues found. As a customer I felt that service is not their priority, rather it is to up-sell new appliances. Unit was repairable and albeit it was not inexpensive to do so, it did not require us to spend thousands on a new unit. As a result I consider Clarke to have provided poor service. read more

I purchased two kitchens from Clarke when we built our house. A very high end (Wolf, Subzero etc.) and a not so high end. Our Subzero died. Called customer service, woman advises 8 WEEKS for a tech to come out. UNACCEPTABLE. Called Subzero and they assigned a customer care representative to me who managed to get the tech out to the house in 4 weeks. STILL UNACCEPTABLE. I had to buy a fridge for my garage ($800) to get us through. WHEN YOU SPEND THOUSANDS AT A HIGH END RETAILER YOU DESERVE HIGH END SERVICE. Clarke did not provide it. I will never buy from them again and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. read more

We had a major issue with our refrigerator not cooling to a safe temperature, days before hosting Thanksgiving and a week and a half before moving. The customer care team (Jenn and Diana) scheduled a technician (Jonathon) to come to our house the day I called. Jonathon assessed the issue and had to come back a second day. The team made sure this happened quickly, and fixed the refrigerator. They were kind, professional, and listened to the customer's issue. What a great group of employees Clarke has in these three people. I hope they know it! I highly recommend this team, and their attentiveness to resolving the issue, quickly and efficiently. We have a nice 20+ year old natural gas Wolf Oven that we came with our house which we bought. We started smelling gas (only when using the oven), so called around. Clarke gave us an appointment quickly, and they set up a time, texted us before they arrived, and arrived on time. The technician was obviously comfortable with what he was doing, and diagnosed the issue in about 5 minutes. The technician wore a mask (properly) and distanced appropriately. He had the part with him, and replaced it then and there - it's been working perfectly since. He was able to answer some questions about the appliance that I had, which was extremely helpful. read more

Clarke Corp service leaves a lot to be desired. Placed a call about the white mesh charbroil on my Wolf Stove. It was literally disintegrating. Six weeks later, two technicians arrive with a copper pan, not the white mesh! All was not lost. They had the white mesh on their truck, and it never required a part to be ordered, so the six weeks we waited was needless. The part was 3X as expensive as was quoted, and I was charged twice for labor. The receipt came in email the following day, so I didn't know the line items when the technicians left the house. All in all, I could have had a fabulous new outdoor barbecue grill for the cost of this service on a Wolf infrared grill. DO NOT BOTHER with Clarke service. Save yourself the frustration of dealing with their expensive and inefficient service. read more

Called Clarke technical service to check my Sub-Zero 25 years old Sub-Zero fridge. The technician who came was great. Super nice and professional. With no more than 5 minutes he diagnosed the problem and presented a solution. He was honest enough to tell me that the fix wouldn't last more than perhaps 4 months so he suggested to simply don't fix it and get a new one. Some other services would have cashed the reparation even if they knew in some months the fridge would break again. I personally appreciate honest people who present you clearly the options and let you choose. read more

It's tough to get someone to repair or service your Wolf or Subzero if you haven't purchased it from them, especially in these days of COVID. Clarke, on the other hand, has excellent service even if you haven't purchased from them. I highly recommend. read more

Clarke has the best service hands down in the area (for Sub-zero and Wolf). Alex Z is lying, it'd be really hard to spend 100k on sub-zero/wolf appliances. (I sell sub-zero and wolf, and work with Clarke, I think I'd know). The most expensive kitchen we've ever done was 70k, and that was 3 kitchens in a mansion....so unless you have 4 kitchens Alex, you are lying. They do not sell anything directly. Because they are a distributor, not a Dealer. They have a state of the art showroom to show off the products, and generate leads. Where they then send the leads to qualified area dealers. Mr. Clarke doesn't make any more of a margin than anyone else does with the distributors throughout the country. Mr. Bakke does however. He owns the company (Sub-zero and Wolf). Sub/Wolf are the same prices everywhere, except for Canada. So Mr Clarke makes no more than any other distributor. I also hate when people complain about service, no one likes service. So obviously you're going to be mad to begin with. However, Clarke has everything in their system , they scan serial numbers at every single juncture, from Wisconsin to the dealer who sold it to you. So if they didn't have it in their system, it means that the product wasn't invoiced and registered with Sub-zero and Wolf by the DEALER he bought it from. I just had to set up service on a Wolf wall-oven yesterday, they have the wall oven in the system now under that customer name, because I gave them all the info. The wall-oven has now been serviced as of today and is fixed. Basically, you're lucky that Clarke even has service, because you'd have to use some random service department that may not even by trained for Sub/Wolf... No other distrubutor in New England has a service department. read more

this is one of the best stores in SONO! Beautiful showroom and classy designs. They even have a "water station" installed, which is discontinued and only purchasable from online. the guy in charge is very responsible and knowledgeable about his kitchen appliances and market. He even strongly advised us again ultra modern because of the appreciation value in CT housing market. I would definitely go here to get my appliances for my new house in the area. Though do take note that they only carry Wolfe and Sub-Zero, so make sure you house is in the right area for that type of mansion (in fairfield county), because otherwise you'd have over improved. read more

I called Clarke to diagnose and fix a problem with a 5 year old Sub-Zero fridge. The condensate drain got clogged with ice, water leaked on the floor and it was hard to open the door. I got an appointment quickly, the technician (Skip Lumpkin) was very professional. He concluded the solution was a jumper wire to keep the internal fan running, to circulate the air and prevent freezing at the bottom. He had the kit in his truck, apparently it's a known problem. He was kind and helpful in putting the drawers and shelves back in. I hope this will prove to work well for long term. For now I am pleased with the service, especially since there was no charge, as it was covered by manufacturer warranty. read more

I moved into a place with a wolf oven, so I first contacted Clarke because I needed service. I now just recently had to call again because I needed service on our dishwasher and, again, they were the local contracted service provider. I don't normally get excited about appliance repair, but Clarke is amazing. The first time they were out, the repairman went above and beyond to help us solve a problem that we inherited with our place. More recently, when I called to set up an appointment, the person to whom I spoke on the phone had a suggestion that actually totally worked and made a visit unnecessary. They are awesome! read more

Clarke is an interesting company. They have a taj mahal showroom but don't sell anything directly. They are the manufacturer's rep for Subzero, Wolf, Asko, KWC, and I think that's all. Why is a Subzero so expensive? Because Mr. Clarke makes a healthier margin than the local retailer does. Well, anyway, I have about $100,000 in Clarke repp'd appliances and KWC faucets in my home, so you'd think I'd be a good customer right? WRONG, their service department has dragged me through the mud for months trying to repair my appliance, which is in warranty and they sold me (indirectly). When the tech came, he asked for my credit card #, just in case it wasn't under warranty. 3 months later, I'm still trying to get my charge back as they mistakenly charged my card for what was a warranty repair. And the best part, my appliance is still broken. Spend less money on a whiz bang showroom and multimedia presentations, and more money on actually doing what you say you do....that';s my advice Mr. Clarke. read more

NEVER, NEVER AGAIN. We called Clarke to service our Sub Zero refrigerator twice within 3 months. Total expenses $1800. Two months later, when the refrigerator broke, we called a top rated "Angies List" repair company. For a total cost of $190, they removed and reseated and insulated the inadequately installed compressor (Clarke's work). In addition, we were told there was little rationale for replacing the compressor in the first place. Bottom line: CLARKE SERVICES IS A DISTRIBUTOR FOR SUB ZERO. THERE MISSION IS TO REPLACE, NOT REPAIR. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN. read more

We have used Clarke Customer Care twice and have had a great experience both times. The first time, Barry serviced our refrigerators and made a couple of small repairs. The second time, he replaced a broken touchpad on our microwave. This was quick, so he asked if anything else needed looking at and fixed our extractor fan as well. My 8 year old sub zero drawers were producing condensation on the top of the top drawer. I have a wood kitchen island which sits on top of this. They arrived the 2nd time with a "hot plate" kind of thing to place on top of it. It is a part which they have manufactured because of this issue. The long and short of it is I had many concerns about the heat being next to a wood kitchen island. The technicians are very good but if you have any complicated issue like this there is no one who helps!! Their customer service is ZERO!!!! They purposely put you on hold until you hang up. I was referred to Clarke for service and parts by the manufacturer of my gas grill. While on hold with their service department I listened to a recording about how great they are, including how they stock 90% of the parts required to service all appliances. Unfortunately, the parts I needed were not in stock and would take 10 days to order. In these days of Amazon service, who waits 10 days for anything! I was told these parts were not very "popular" (briquettes for a grill??) and if I wanted to pay $100 I could get expedited shipping. Worst of all, when I checked pricing with a certified parts supplier for the grill (also recommended to me by the manufacturer) I learned Clarke was adding a 40%+ markup just to order the parts! It was not enough that they would make a killing on the service call, they were gouging on the parts, and then wanted $100 for expedited shipping!! read more

My 15 year old subzero refrigerator was unable to maintain a cool temperature and so I called Clarke customer care service because they were factory certified to make repairs on a subzero. The call center woman was friendly and quickly able to get a repair man out to my home the same day who diagnosed the problem as an evaporator leak. He told me he had the equipment to fix the problem in his truck (which is great). He swapped out the evaporator along with a drier pipe -- the job took him about 25 -30 minutes, very easy without arduous lifting or precise maneuvers. A couple of connections and he was done. There was minimal skill needed to do this job and it clearly took him minimal effort. However, the labor cost to do this job was a flat $390 rate on top of the $135 cost to come out to diagnose the problem. With sales tax included, the labor alone was $579. After including cost of parts, the total job was $917. That is completely unacceptable - a rip off. I think of people fixing my car - getting dirty and sweating under a hood - more arduous requiring more skill at half the rate that this job cost. After seeing what it took for this job, it would be better to find a local repair man who charges a reasonable rate, even if he or she is not "factory certified." It may take an extra few days to get the parts needed, but the cost would be much cheaper. read more

We spent some time on a recent Saturday afternoon at the Clarke Showroom in Milford. We came away inspired with a wealth of information regarding an array of products for our new home. The consultant Jenny Tredeau gave us her undivided attention. She listened well to our concerns, desires and needs and steered us toward choices that matched. In addition to knowing these brands and working with them in her own home, she was equipped with up to date technical information. She is delightful to be with and made the entire experience enjoyable as opposed to overwhelming. The display of each product and model in these fabulous kitchen designs was incredibly helpful. We had been wavering regarding some other brands and now we are certain we'll choose Wolf and Subzero and also Cove's new dishwasher. And check out the ASKO washer dryer while you are there!
