Brie Babies
Mark A.

Great new restaurant in Corrales. We went for lunch and the service was outstanding. I had the Brie Babies which are little Dutch pancakes. It was delicious. I also had a nice cappuccino. My wife had the Turkey Avocado Hoagie and it was very good. She thought the bread was outstanding. She also had a side of potato salad and it was delicious. For dessert we shared a Honey Cake which was moist and delicious and was displayed amazingly. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant.

Cold cut sandwich and special of the day was the Reuben -- both great!

Really good deli. The food was fresh and delicious. The Brie babies were so good and the dressing made it even better.

He asked me to breakfast and he looked up places to go here in Rio Rancho and found this restaurant online with good ratings. Ambiance The ambiance is cute, nothing fancy, comfortable, cheery (for instance live plants) and more importantly-different. I love when restaurants have their own style and don't look like other restaurants. For instance they have one seating area that is a booth seat with various different pillows. And there are two tops with both chairs and a bench. Simple, clean, charming. Service The waitress was friendly and admitted she was fairly new, which we wouldn't have known because for being new she was an above average waitress. Food I was surprised to see such original food. They had more of a global kind of food with definite nods to regional new Mexican favorites. For instance they had 'Madame Hatch', which was a classic Croque Madame sandwhich with green chile. The bread/ham/mornay sauce/basted egg were all cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. 'Bombay Bagel' which was a French toast bagel, with goat cheese, black forest ham, sundried tomato, hardboiled egg, lemon honey, and microgreens, fruit. And NM classics like a smothered breakfast burrito. I attached pics of the menu so you can see everything they offer. Everything was appropriately priced, Not cheap, not expensive. Each dish was $11.00-$16.00 They serve breakfast and lunch. They also have a good, large selection of yummy, homemade desserts. If you're looking for good food, good service, something different but also great classics you need to check this place out.

The overall vibe was very relaxed and casual, as it was a Thursday and not too busy. I was pleased to see they had an espresso menu and ordered the cold brew, which was perfect for a hot day. For food, I went with the Dutch Eggs because you really don't see that on many menus. It was interesting - I didn't expect it to be so sweet since it was listed under "savory". It was still tasty but I'd probably go for something different next time. Good portion sizes and prices were reasonable. I would definitely return!

(hahaha kidding) I think I'm on my third visit now to Flying Star and it's now one of my favorite breakfast places. I love that they have internet made available so people can do their work while they eat. I have tried a few of their behind the glass bakery items as well as their pancakes & french toast. I personally wasn't a fan of the french toast but that was just because of the drizzle/icing.. but the flavor was good, that's for sure! Also pictured in the 3rd photo is a glimpse of the dining area. I have to say it is truly beautiful in here. It reminds me of the old Panera Bread vibe.

They have a bunch of seating both indoor and outdoor and a fairly extensive menu. I love that they have breakfast all day, and a wide assortment of baked goods. The price is pretty steep, but portions are solid and everything is fresh. No drink refills, only a self serve water station. You order when you walk in and the food is brought to your table. I would highly suggest this as a study or work spot due to the strong WiFi and ample seating- the only downside being the no refills situation!

I was really hungry tonight and I gotta say I was really let down by the portion size of #48, 3 shrimps, beef portion could have been more, and there should have been more rice... especially when you're paying extra for broken rice. Egg was cooked fine, but really would want Vietnamese egg cake... egg roll was good along with the bean curd wrap. Sauce was good, it tasted similar to my mom's style. Overall my rice dish was just a tease because of portion size. My fiancé got the S3 per the usual.. her plate was full of shrimp. My fiancé liked her dish, today I though it a little lacking and there was way too much sauce. Thai iced tea was good. I usually get Pho or Bun Bo Hue and it seems that is what you should get to get your money's worth.. not the rice dishes. Today service was lacking as they seemed a little short handed.. we didn't even get utensils with napkins, we got it ourselves and so did another couple. Food took a little long to come out, again they seemed short handed. We'll still come back, but I'll stick to Bun Bo Hue.

The food is what you expect - no one makes it better than grandma. We had the roast beef sandwich ( today's special) and French onion soup ( one of their specialties). So good!!! I must say the last time I went I asked what ingredients are in the egg salad, tuna salad, and chicken salad because I have food allergies. The server said, "Oh they don't tell us. All the recipes are secret." Ok well I sort of get that but sort of don't having allergies. So beware if you do too! I decided to take my chances and order the Three Salad meal. This comes with three scoops of salad; one of egg salad, one of tuna, and one of chicken salad. It's served with tomatoes. The salads were very tasty! Unfortunately there was something that was undetectable in the chicken salad and I felt too weird to eat something I couldn't place so I threw that salad away. I asked for crackers for my salads but they didn't have any. Booooooo. I also ordered a warm blueberry muffin and it was scrumptious!! My mom got an egg salad sandwich with a cup of French Onion soup which she said was delicious. This place is decorated the exact same way as it was in the 80s when I was a child, so it's fun to go with my mom. It's ver nostalgic. However, I won't go on my own or suggest it to friends now. There are too many of us that prefer to know what we are eating. Cheers!

The young lady taking my order practiced patience telling me all my options. You can really customize your food at this restaurant. I order the minor (32 ounce) Pho for $13.75. I picked the udon noodles and the smoked brisket (cashier's suggestion) with the spicy lemongrass (beef) broth. The 32-ounce broth came in its own cup, and they gave me another huge cup filled with the smoked brisket, noodles, green onions, bean sprouts, cilantro, basil, jalapenos and 2 lime wedges. This alone was a lot of food and the hot broth cooked the brisket quickly. A very satisfying meal but I wasn't done. I also ordered a fried pork sausage spring roll for $7.69. The spring rolls (there were two, not one) came with fried pork sausage (very large and chunky), rice noodles, daikon, carrots, cucumbers and lettuce. They gave me a spicy green chile dipping sauce on the side. This perfectly complemented the delicate roll. Just the spring rolls alone would have filled me up. A very healthy, nutritious meal for just over $20! It didn't take long for them to deliver it to me after ordering. I might have waited 10 minutes. Service fast and courteous. When I go back, I'll probably just order a spring roll. Maybe I'll try the shrimp spring roll next time.
