Belle Tire has always been a favorite auto repair/service of mine, going back almost 20 years. They have always done excellent work on my cars, offer free air, and have fairly competitive pricing. They've upgraded their waiting areas with comfortable chairs, large screen TV's, free coffee &TV. I would especially like to compliment them on their employees. They are courteous, friendly and seemingly have a genuine concern for their customers & their car repair needs. Today I needed an oil change & if you ever tried to get an oil change in a reasonable amount of time, like in the old days, like within an hour, it's challenging now. No matter where you go, there's a 2-3 hour wait or you leave your car. Today I decided to wait & was told by the manager there was going to be a 2-3 hour wait. So I brought my MaDonald's sandwich, settled down in one of their comfortable chairs, took out the iPhone & waited, and watched TV.I knew what I was in for so no complaints. Now I got tired of sitting after 1 1/2 hours & walked around the shop. Then the manager offered me lunch, pizza that the shop employees had been eating. He probably felt sorry for me because I was there a long time. (lol) He didn't have to offer lunch but he did, which again showed me the friendliness of this company. Bad business practices!!!! I have been going there over 20 years, but now never again. My wife had a slow leak in her right front tire. At the appointment to get it fixed, "Mike" went out to the vehicle and said the tire is too worn to fix, and she should see Val or Jim Cox for new tires. She drove home. I was shocked to hear this, and here's why.... This car is less than three weeks old having purchased it Mercedes Certified Preowned with less than 20,000 miles. That certifying process requires at least 5/32s treads. As a former certified Michigan mechanic, I checked the treads that night on all 4 tires, and all checked in the range of 6/32s to 7/32s. I drove there the following morning to see Val, the manager, and he wasn't in. I spoke to Jim Cox instead. He checked them and confirmed my reading and apologized repeated, but couldn't explain it . They pulled it in to fix it. It had a screw embedded. Val eventually arrived while it was getting fixed and apparently Mr. Cox apprised him of the matter. Val spoke to me, apologetically, and said "Mike" must have used a bad calibrated tire tread gauge. NOT !!! They use the mechanical ones (like most all repair shops) as I saw Mr. Cox use one when he checked all four that morning. I normally take the vehicle in for tire work and not my wife. These shops that feed on women and their general lack of knowledge on vehicles, and for that matter unknowing men too, is despicable !!! STAY AWAY !!! read more

I always get good service at Belle Tire. I went to put extra air into my tires, but there was a long line for "free" air, so I parked & went in to inquire about getting an oil change (which I needed), luckily there was no wait! Plus, the techs top the fluids & check the tire pressure so that saved 15 minutes waiting in line for the "free" air. My car was done in less than an hour, cost was $51, a great price, fast service. I wanted to buy my last set of tires there, but Belle Tire couldn't match COSTCO. I truly wanted to buy from Belle but the price difference was almost $200. I have been going to Bell tire for a long time specially this location but with this manager Val Myrtaj they have is terrible. His attitude is so horrible he thinks he can talk to customer specially woman any kind of way. I had alignment done a few months ago and they didn't do the job right so I went back and they told me I needed two more tire, and it would fix the issue I went and bought two tires, and the alignment issue never fix. when I went back the manager said I need to leave my car with them and they will call me. a few hours later the manager called me and said when they work on my car, they broke some parts so now it will cost $700.00 so II told him I don't have this kind money after that this manager went off on me said if I didn't bring my car gain to them it would not break. Lol it is not my fault they broke the parts. He said if I can't pay the money I can come and take my car towed to my house. He also told me he would ban me from all Bell tire from that day. He yelled at me and hangup the phone. After I went to the store, I told him I contacted the head quarter then he tried to cooperate with me to fix the problem. They claim they had to change a few parts and they taste drove and the alignment was working. Well nope it is not still fixed. This manager needs anger management and customer service training. He should not be a manager at all. He thinks his store got one of the best reviews and he said I was a problem all the time well why you take my business if I was an issue. store and manager like this one makes Bell Tire looks bad. Had a car in for a slow leak. They talked me into replacing the 2 front tires which wasn't entirely necessary but oh well. Once the tires were replaced I received a call telling me I needed a list of work 2 pages long. Their quote was $3,200. They quoted parts that I have recently replaced telling me they were too old. I went to my mechanic and was told he gets about 5 people a week with the same type of quotes. Stay far away from this shop, they are thieves!! I caught them with their hands in the cookie jar. **No Belle Tire, I am not interested in you looking at my car again. It has already been looked at by my mechanic as stated and was told I need none of the items quoted. Friendly and I appreciated the ride home. Brakes and rotors cost me $1155.12. Then told I also need front lower control arms ASAP, for $1230.64. I called Midas. They quoted $800 for lower control arms. When I called Belle Tire back with this quote, manager insisted Midas would be using inferior parts, asked me what the name brand and part # they quoted. I said I would find out, and asked him what name brand and part # Belle Tire is quoting - HE COULD NOT TELL ME. Midas uses dealer parts, knew the name brand. Then I learned only 1 of the control arms needed replaced! Belle Tire overcharged by $385.00, and lied about needing 2 control arms. Midas told me that the brakes and rotors I bought at Belle Tire for $1155.12 would have cost only $770 at Midas - I could have saved $385.00! Manager said their prices are controlled by their corporate office. I called to speak to the corporate office, no one answers the phone - or returns your calls! Also, I paid $79.96 at Belle Tire for lifetime balance, tire rotation, etc when I purchased new tires from Belle 40k miles ago. I asked if they could rotate the tires at this time, they said it was "not necessary" I will NOT be going back to Belle Tire. I will no longer go to this Belle Tire. Mike deliberately did work that I did not authorize. I brought my vehicle in for 1 issue. His diagnostics showed 3 issues. I was planning to get these repairs done in 3 separate stages and he intentionally did 2 stages of the work, thereby doubling my immediate bill and increasing his commission?? Do not arrange for your work over the phone unless you can authorize the exact work and cost by email. Otherwise you have no real recourse. Of course management will always side with their employee. Please if you need anything go to this store!!! I just purchased a used car a few weeks ago. First week I had the car I ran over a bolt and they patched it for me. Today I was driving and heard a whistling sound. I was convinced my tire was losing air. I called and Mike told me I could bring it right in. Super nice on the phone and no hesitation that I'd be coming in right before they closed. Thank you to Ahmed, Kyler and Mike. I white knuckled it for an hour. When I got there I was rattled and stressed as it's one of those months where I wonder what more can go wrong. I could have easily been taken advantage of because I was convinced I was not safe. I was told my tires were fine. I couldn't believe what I was hearing because I was convinced I was in danger. Maybe it's just me being paranoid since I got the patch. They looked at it again, reset my manufacturer setting as it was incorrect and that was it. No charge and I was told there was nothing wrong and I was safe. I thanked them up and down and I got in my car and no longer heard the noise. I will recommend these guys to everyone and anyone. I as well as my husband and kids will be lifelong customers. Took my car in a few weeks to get two tires put on my car and to inspect my other tires as well. They put the tires on fine and told me my other two tires were perfectly fine and I should consider replacing my brake pads. The next day I take my two front tires (the two older tires I bought in January) to inspect the brakes and there's a large bulge in the tire that would have probably caused a blowout! That tire was certainly not ok to drive on. So my two theories this as to how they missed 1. The guy who checked my tires was either incompetent or lazy 2. My tire that had a bulge was covered under Belle Tire warranty (it was) and they weren't going to make money off it so they lied to me waiting for it to blowout. read more

I brought my car here for an alignment, 5 hours later they told me they aren't able to reset some sensor and that my car still severely pulls to one direction. They still wanted me to pay them for an alignment. To make matters worse, the kid working here begins raising his voice and actually insulting me! It's always alarming when you encounter places that have zero tact, or an even basic understanding of human interaction, let alone why it's understandable for a customer to be displeased when you give them their car back in worse condition than when you brought it in the first place. This (Nov 27, 2021) is my third visit to this store (Long Lake and Rochester), second for tires and once previously to look at a leaking tire (no charge and it wasn't a tire from Belle Tire). The employees have been professional and courteous every time. I've looked to big box stores for tires but the scheduling has been quite delayed the past few years. This Belle Tire has had the sizes I need much quicker and the price is fair. In fact, the employees called me on Nov 27 when the tires arrived earlier than expected and the employees let me know about Black Friday promotions which saved me money. I purchased 4 Michelin tires for a 2018 Ford Explorer. The costs was almost $1,400, which I prepaid online. The costs included a charge to dispose of the old tires, and to mount and balance the new tires. After the work was done I was told the frontend needed alignment and there would be an additional charge of almost $100. The frontend alignment was barely off and it took the technician around five minutes to do the work. When I pointed out to the manager that charging a customer ~$100 for five minutes of work after they had already spent almost $1,400, was not good business practice. He said it was corporate policy and there was nothing he could do about it. Well the corporation should change their policy. A small business owner wouldn't do this, they would use common sense and not charge ~$100 for five minutes work - only a corporate run shop would. Not a happy customer. read more

I've worked with Val from this shop for years. The customer service has been top notch. I bought tires in the past from them and the prices couldn't be beat. I tried! For the past 7 years I have been leasing vehicles and haven't had a need to purchase tires. Belle tire continues to fix my flats and rotate my tires for free!!! All because I bought from them in the past. There can be a wait but what I have found is that is usually from customers waiting until the last minute to schedule work and the shop will still squeeze them in. David that works there is rude. I told him where I got some replacement done on my car and he immediately had a weird attitude about it. I told him where and he said oh, I'm sorry. Sorry for what? I said I love it there they just couldn't pin point the problem. He needs to learn how to be more professional. They charged me $70 for an inspection and I didn't need a full inspection and I definitely didn't ask for that. I just needed to know what the clicking noise was from, they didn't need to inspect my entire car like they did. I think they are mad that the other company (car fix) is taking away some of their business. The place I took my car to before, everyone is so nice there and they go above and beyond. They never fail to assist me with great technical service and useful suggestions, which sadly occurs frequently, due to the condition of Michigan roads. They also provide excellent customer service with a good attitude and thorough explanations, even lately, when one can see that they are swamped and the cars are lining up outside. The negative reviews on here seem to be from people Who just simply do not or do not want to understand how cars need to be maintained and that they are actually dealing with salespeople... it is part of their job to sell/up sell... I don't think people leave negative reviews when McDonald's asks if you want to supersize your meal when ordering... same concept... that being said. This location, from the multiple phone calls I put in for quotes and appointment adjustments to the actual work done on my car has been great. Never did I feel pushed into anything. I was given the option on anything extra that I needed like my warranties and alignment, etc. I got four brand new tires, wipers, & alignment in under two hours from my appointment time. Other locations won't even make appointments in December. Every one I had to deal with was pleasant and kind even when the place was a little hectic. The reason for four stars is A. The parking lot and parking issues, albeit probably not easy to fix, is awful. It's a theme with belletire's I've noticed. B, the waiting area could be slightly updated with maybe a table or something when people are there for a little bit longer and want to use their laptops, etc. but overall clean facility and timely, friendly service. I'm also a 30 year old female for anyone wondering if they didn't "push me" cuz I was a guy or something. We're typically those types of sales targets ;).
