Great selecrion of all-natural food. Friendly environment keeps you loyal to this place and you are coming back again.

Superb food and environment :0) I have visited here twice and purchased the roasted chicken burger both times. It comes with sweet potato fries...Yum! The white chocolate bread pudding is delicious too! The food is fresh, delicious, healthy and staff is super helpful and courteous! There was a live guitar artist the second time I went...always good to watch the kiddos play in the square!! read more

Great restaurant with healthy, organic and gluten free options for those who wants to enjoy eating without messing with their healthy habits. Besides that the location is as great as it gets! Family friendly, and with a great outside patio. read more

Bad food! Be careful about ordering vegetarian soups. Corn chowder was listed as vegetarian and when I asked to confirm I was told it is vegetarian and at next visit different person who took order said it has chicken broth. Vegetarian choices doesn't taste good. Disappointed with vegetarian tacos, pizza , healthy but burger etc. not going back ever for sure. read more

Ruggles has very yummy food, and food that I actually feel good about eating, as it's certified organic. I also like that they serve local beer (Saint Arnolds FTW!) It was a bit pricey, but I'm OK with that, seeing as it's organic and free-range. Atmosphere is clean, casual and comfortable. Not too loud, and if you sit outside, you get to people watch and look at the beautiful greenway at City Centre. read more

Love all the Ruggles restaurant so i decided to eat here...figured it was a good spot to eat since my kids could play in the courtyard area....the food was awful..i had some chicken with pasta...the chicken wasnt too bad but it's all the stuff they put on there that made it awful...maybe i'm just not "green" enough to eat here but don't just put "healthy" stuff in a pasta dish if it doesnt taste good!!!! at the end of the day, it's about the FOOD and whether it tastes good or bad....and this is not typical Ruggles quality food....save your money and eat at Ruggles! read more

Loved the food and prices are fair. Enjoyed sitting outside watching everyone play in the courtyard.

I LOVE this place! The food was great and everything was fresh! The wait for a table wasn't to long and they comfortable accommodated my whole family, all 15 of us. It wasn't hard finding something we felt comfortable eating but i do wish to see more vegan options on the menu. The prices were reasonable for it being mostly local and organic. I love to support businesses like these! read more

I have eaten here about ten times and every time I go it's always fantastic. Love their Pizza. Thin crust. Great Food, Great Service and Great Management!! read more

I've been here only twice right when they've opened (it gets crowded fast) i ordered the turkey lettuce wraps very delicious! The place is not kid or stroller friendly the seating inside is very tight. I will go back to try more menu options read more

Amazinnngg!!!!!!! Ruggles green city centre is one of my favorite restaurants from the organic original quality of food to the outstanding customer service! I come here often either to grab a quick bite to eat at lunch or to sit down and enjoy a nice dinner. The staff here is very friendly and has well known knowledge of the menu items. My favorite meal here would have to be the gluten free fish tacos, suffering from celiac disease has made it very hard to find a restaurant that serves my needs but when I heard about Ruggles my life changed. There's something here for everyone, from pastas, burgers, pizzas to their sinfully indulgent desserts. If you haven't been, it's time you went. read more

I just want to say I love this restaurant and even more since last night. All the power went down in city centre and their machines went off and the cashiers had to put in everything manually and the line was VERY long but the 2 cashiers held it together very well the customer service was still excellent despite frustrations. The female cashier was walking around making sure everybody was taken care of and that everyone was receiving their food and the male was doing a fantastic job at letting everyone in line know what happened and taking orders. I never saw them lose their smiles. Great Job and Nice Teamwork guys! read more

Awesome lunch or dinner place, fun patio and kid friendly. Great wine and desert chill place

Holy Moly! What a disaster! Went out to lunch for MLK holiday with a friend. We hadn't seen each other in awhile and wanted to catch up on a nice sunny day. No such luck. This place is completely overrun with poorly behaved children and clueless/brainless parents. What gives? Is this a kindergarten? Mother and Father allowed their 2 children to bring their skateboard/scooters INTO the restaurant. There were kids everywhere running and jumping around tables. The food was only mediocre-- soup not hot and sandwich very much on the small side.. And atmostphere-- what atmosphere? The sound of screaming children? Its so unfortunate that the "green space" isnt green anymore and has been covered in astroturf. I will NEVER return to Ruggles Green and may never return to City Centre. Parents-- if you want to take you kid on a picnic, then take the food to the park and let the kids play. Don't bring them to a restaurant. read more

I met some friends at the city center last weekend and we decided to check out this restaurant. The weather was perfect and this place has a nice outside siting area. The food was okay, nothing special. The service was pretty good. Their latte was real good and I wish it was served in a smaller cup and not in a soup ball. read more

Today was the second time I've ever eaten here. It will be my last. I ordered the Spicy shrimp pasta. It was the most mediocre pasta dish I've ever eaten. It wasn't even close to being spicy. It was lukewarm like it had been sitting in the heat window for a while. The shrimp was poorly prepared and looked cheap. The sauce was very bland. I feel like calling the cops to report a robbery because I feel Ruggles stole $15 from me today. That pasta dish is worth $8 at best. I'm shocked that so many people like to eat here. I guess they think it's healthy because the word 'organic' is plastered everywhere. Ruggles knows this so they can grossly overcharge people for mediocre food. Good for them. I guess. read more

If I want mediocre-tasting panini and sandwich, I would rather go to Panera Bread or the Corner Bakery for 2/3 of the price. I am disappointed with the food that my s/o and I got today. He got the cheesesteak sandwich, which was only half a baguette and not even a full one. The bread was not toasted; both the bread and the cheesesteak filling were bland and needed more salt and seasoning. It was not worth the price tag of $13.99. My Cuban pork panini was only ok. Overall I will not come back here again. read more

I found not one, but two chicken bones on my pizza. The kitchen staff should be more attentive preparing their food. I almost choked on one bone, and the other was sitting on my pizza like a garnish. Food was good, but glad I didn't choke and die eating in the process. read more

Yes, it's a great convenient location, but it kinda stops there. After struggling to find a parking spot in the garage at CityCentre, I made my way to Ruggles Green. There is no place to sit and wait for someone else -- unless you want to sit outside in 97 degree weather. There is some covered patio seating on the green, but with the door of the restaurant continuously opening & closing, inside isn't that cool either. You order & pay at the counter, take one of those beepers, and wait. The decor: don't remember, it was that nondescript. Loud -- very loud. Small tables jammed together. My spinach salad was decent, but then what could go wrong? I was, also, disappointed in the "green" space of the plaza outside Ruggles. It's ASTROTURF! Hello. You can't find anything better than that? I thought I was in AZ. Just not impressed. Loud, crowded, too hot, no table service. Onwards ... read more

Well...the night started out good. This was a new restaurant for me that was introduced by a friend of mine. It was delicious the first time I went there that I had been back 3 times within the last 10 days. The visit tonight (the night before Mother's Day) was supposed to be a relaxing evening with the family. We got there early because of the crowd and had snagged a spot on the patio. We were in no rush to scarf down our meal and leave. It was supposed to be a relaxing evening with the family. It started out that way. We ordered appetizers and a nice bottle of wine. We allowed our kids to play a little on the lovely patio in front of the restaurant. Once they had worked up an appetite, nearly 45 minutes had gone by. We then ordered the boys a kids organic pizza. Soon after...another bottle of wine. Our bill was around $80, before we had even ordered dinner. Apparently they only let you sit on the patio for 90 minutes and then make you leave. The manager that night, whose name was John James, was the rudest person I have ever met. He is the reason I have created this Yelp account and posted for the first time. Unfortunately, I was across the way getting my boys yogurt at a Red Mango when he approached my husband. He knew the time and amount of money we had spent and apparently it was not enough. He asked him to get up to give the table to someone else. My husband told him we had an open tab and still...that did not make a difference. I came back from Red Mango to find my husband sitting on the steps next t where our table was. He said he had been kicked off the table. Starving...and FURIOUS I let John James have it. He was the rudest, most arrogant person I had ever met and could have cared less that he just lost a "lifetime" customer. If you decide to go here....a couple of tips... eat fast, and avoid this disgusting human being. (You can't miss him....heavy tall man with one nostril.) I am not trying to be mean, but that is the only way to describe him. He ruined our meal, my night, and my Mother's Day meal with my family. The food is not worth the customer service you will receive!!! **UPDATE** The co-owner reached out to me to try and make it right. He said he had a talk with the staff and put the manager on notice. The manager still works there though...what a shame! read more

I have eaten at Ruggles Green in the City Center area several times and have never been disappointed. Since I am a vegan, food choices are usually limited or mundane, however, at Ruggles Green, I find a few very pleasing dishes to choose. I usually stick with the vegetarian nut burger which is easily made vegan and have a side order of sweet potato fries. On Aug. 27, 2013 I tried a salad with grilled onions, grilled portebello mushroom, grilled tomatoes and asparagus. All were delicious. I also discovered they now have vegan and gluten free desserts and I had a slice of vegan chocolate cake. It was incredible and my non-vegan friends were in disbelief that it was vegan. I will be visiting there more often now that they can satisfy my nutritional needs and satisfy my insatiable sweet tooth. The decor, location and views are also very pleasing and relaxing. I also love the staff and waiters; they are so friendly, accommodating and efficient. read more

Ordered the shrimp/crab pasta (4 shrimps and about a tablespoon of crab) and the Greek pizza (came with no chicken, so we had to bring it back). It was obvious that they just threw on some chicken, not the lemon chicken and asked to see the Manager, Michael, who was worthless. I live and work at a hotel in the area and every time I come here its only two star worthy and expensive for what you get...haven't been in about a year, so thought I would try again - well that cemented - no more and will not be recommending at the hotel. I really think Ruggles needs to have some updated hospitality classes for all their employees. read more

How can a place that portrays itself as 'hip', 'healthy' and 'family friendly' have not a single non-alchoholic (NA) beer on its menu? It's not even as though it has lousy NA beer, like O'Doule's. It doesn't have Buckler or St Pauli Girl NA either. All it takes is a request to their distributor to address this, but no. No demand? Kinda backwards, if you've none to serve. How about carrying NA beer for 6 months to see? And inquiries about this elicit lame and rude responses from the restaurant managers. So, I'm spending my dining $$ at Ciro's Italian Grill. read more

Food Poisoning! I rarely post, so if I do, there's a good reason. Went to this location for the annual b-day dinner with bf. He ordered the buffalo burger (as always) with regular fries and I decided to try to turkey burger w/ sweet potato fries. When our food arrived, I noticed my fries were very dark and shriveled up. I tried one bite and it was gross. When I went back into the restaurant to ask for fresh fries, the MOD looked at my fries and actually said they were "disgusting" looking. While waiting for the fries, I tried one of bf's regular fries and it too, was awful. They looked and tasted like they were leftover from lunch. The manager brought my fresh fries, which looked and tasted great. However, after cutting my turkey burger in half, I noticed it smelled strange. It was very dry and odd tasting, but I proceeded to eat half. What a mistake! I was sick all night. I called the next morning to speak with a general manager and after giving my info, the MOD hung up on me! No return call, nothing. I called back a week later and spoke to the GM. He claims no one else called about getting sick from the turkey burger and oh yes, he told me they serve at least 40 per day. Well, how do you know if someone else called if the MOD does not give you the message? He also tried telling me about their fresh food deliveries 6X per week, blah blah. He then offered to "treat" me to a new turkey burger that night or the next day, but only on his time, not when it might be convenient for me. We will not go back. read more

Burger was boring, dry, tasteless. Sweet potato fries were great. Patio was great. I'll need to try something else there to get a good read on it. Just know the burger isn't worth it. read more

Ehh it was okay. Smelled kinda funny, I ordered the Cuban panini and was supposed to come on sourdough, ended up coming with grain bread.. Taste was great though. Sweet potato fries were kinda soggy, not too crispy. Think ill stick to our original in First Colony! read more

I have eaten at Ruggles green in the woodlands many times and I have always had a wonderful experience. I am Celiac and have trouble eating out but I have always thought ruggles green was a safe bet until today. When I ordered the cheedeburger I double checked that all my food was rang in gluten free and let them know I actually have an allergy. When the burgers arrived I was given a regular burger with a gluten free card on it and the other diner my gf burger as the regular one. I knew it was the wrong burger and so I took both burgers up to the country get to confirm. They literally took the card that was touching and underneath the regular him and put it under the gluten free bun and then switched the vegetable toppings on the two sandwiches. This is a major no no. Serious cross contamination. I tried to talk to them but none of the workers spoke English very well and we're getting frustrated with me. I decided to just go sit down and eat the meal without the bun which I had already paid extra for. I still got sick and I will never ever be back to this location again. The other diners also said Thier food was sub par. This is very disapointing as I know how good Ruggles Green can be. If you are celiac do not eat here. read more

Enjoyed our meal here once we got it but the line is always way too long and doesn't move quickly. I love their salads though so will probably come back again despite that. read more

This place is consistently decent and it has a big outdoor eating area. I think others are much more impressed by it than I am. I have been twice now and the first time was a fine experience. The second time I went with my parents, sister, and her baby all sitting outside. I had ordered a pizza with a side salad and for some reason they brought out my order in to go containers though I definitely did not ask for them that way nor did I wait at the front for my food but had the buzzer at my table as all of the other sitting in diners did. When I even asked why it came that way to the server, all I received was a blank stare instead of just offering to grab me a plate so I could eat it easier at the table. The box took up half of the table so I ended up having to eat off my lap or would have had to move to another table. I wouldn't have cared at all if they had just offered to bring me a plate so I could more easily eat. Several servers came to the table bringing the other various orders (mine was first out) and none of them offered to grab a plate which would have been appreciated. It was so challenging I finally just gave up and took it home to reheat later. The burgers and chicken sandwich the rest of the family ordered looked good. I was rather blasé to my pizza and salad. read more

Fast friendly outdoor bar service at the fire work show. Chris and Laura were professional and prompt. Even when dealing with the blue dress drunkard Chris was calm and respectful. Even after the lady(if you can call her that) continued to harass this hard working duo, dismissing any and everything he had to say regarding he walkway coniption. I'm impressed and will be back. read more

Picked this place for our twins birthday and Manager John did not disappoint. We were 50+ people and he took the time to set up seating outside and came by regularly to check that we were ok. The food was amazing- the quinoa mac & cheese, lamb burger, local egg sandwich and the grilled salmon pasta were a great hit as well as the sweet potato fries! Thank you again John for being so nice and making the twins birthday memorable! read more

I got the southwest chicken pasta, mainly because I wanted to try the quinoa pasta. The pasta was great, the dish in general just ok. But I also ordered the hempenadas and they were AMAZING! My friend got the veggie burger and said it's the best she's ever had (and she gets them a lot). She also ordered the tres leche which I'm normally not a fan of but this was really good. My other friend ordered the greek pizza and said it was good and the white chocolate bread pudding. Unfortunately she had the desert come at the same time as her meal (her choice), it was served with ice cream and we were sitting outside. It was still good but would of probably been better had it been "fresh" and less mussy. The portions in general were quite large. I had one and a half hempenadas and after I was full to the brim with my pasta it looked like I hadn't eaten anything. It was a little pricey for the style of resturant it is and we waited awhile to work our way thru the line (but it was Friday night at City Centre). Overall we are huge fans. read more

Got the Hawaiian bbq pizza and the meatball linguini. Pizza tastes good but pretty soggy on the bottom. Pineapples need a bit more carmelization. Parking will always be bad...it is city Centre after all. read more

Great food, especially dessert! and amazing service. Nice location in city center near the center square.

my (semi) guilty pleasure! I always feel like I'm eating healthy at Ruggles Green, even when I'm not. Would love to try every single thing on the menu-have not been disappointed yet! My favorite is the veggie nut burger-oh how I wish I could come close to replicating the recipe at home! And the sweet potato fries. Just yes. All the desserts look sinful...even the vegan/paleo/gluten free. If any of the Ruggles locations were easier to get to and/or park at, I would return more frequently. read more

The food used to be better under previous management. Service needs improvement in terms of cordial manners. The waiters literally dump your food in front of you. There is no "good evening, how are you, excuse me", nothing. They simply bring the food and dump it in front of you in such a hurry that they will dump it on any object that may be on the way, include your mobile phone or your arm! When it is time to close, if you are sitting outside, they will run you out grabbing the dishes from your table without asking if you are done, pushing chairs and tables around you and from your table clearly indicating your time is over, get out. Not to say some stare at you and keep walking around the table. This place is located in a prime area in city center, right in front of the entertainment square. You would think they would extend their hours to a bit later or at least put a sign advertising their closing time. read more

Ruggles Green has the most delicious and healthy food. I usually order the Atlantic Salmon salad and it is worth the price. They serve the salad with a very big piece of salmon, so no complaints! Came here opening week when it was busy busy. Got in line and the cashier took our order asap. We ordered the mac and cheese, spicy fish tacos and the buffalo burger. The mac and cheese had a combination of 5 different cheeses and bread crumbs. The fish tacos were oh so delicious. Fresh, light and tasty. The buffalo burger was average. It came with fresh greens on a whole wheat bun. The bun definitely added extra points. All in all, perfect place for a light but tasty meal. read more

I have to stop getting that salmon pasta with olives. Too strong! But yeah ruggles good almost all the time. Charlotte's web. Yum!

Nice atmosphere. Especially liked the green space out front. Food was just average at best. Ingredients were fresh, but everything was underseasoned. And, I don't mean not enough salt. I mean the proper spices and flavors. In fact, the butternut squash pasta was way too salty without much of any other taste. Fish tacos were bland and dry - no seasoning on the fish - even with the sauce that we were supposed to pour on. Cuban pork sandwhich basically had no seasoning either. It was just a few thin slices of pork in between some bread. Again, bland. The Greek pizza was soggy all the way through and bland except for the salty olives. The sweet potato fries were yummy, though. read more
