The only reason for this less than average rating is because of our Server and his Customer Service. My Mother and I had ordered our dinners and during the initial order I had mentioned wanting to add some alfredo to my sauce - he thought I wanted to substitute Alfredo for the Red sauce and I explained I did not, but just wanted to add a drizzle on top. He then said he would provide a "side" of alfredo sauce. When the bill came, I was charged $4.99 for the side of Alfredo Sauce - when I asked, he showed me in the menu where a side of Alfredo is $4.99 (but also under the item I ordered, there was a note to subsitute the Alfredo for $2.00. He was rude and said it was not a substitution, but a side - I said he should have let me know that when he decided to order me a side and ask, is that what you want? Regardless, the bill was not changed and he was rude and it really made a nice meal a bad experience. It's all about the Delivery of the message and understanding the customer. read more

I'm not quite sure how they manage to make a mostly lettuce salad taste so good! We love this place, and go all the time usually at lunch, I fell hard to the linguini with mushrooms, it's a simple dish, but packed with garlic, olive oil and big mushrooms. I also love the eggplant parmesan... so good! My husband eats the meat Stromboli, it's huge crispy breading filled with various meats and cheese. I'd love to try it, but honestly, it's a bit too much food for me with the salad and bread. Oh! that bread, you gotta be careful because it's coming out hot garlicy, and plentiful, really easy to fill up on. Omg no don't eat here. We walked in and no one talked to us for ten minutes, the family in front of us waited too but left after they were standing there for 15 minutes. We should have left when they did. For a starter we got fried ravioli and it was not that. They drowned it in some type of vodka curry sauce so everything was soggy. We got ranch salads and the dressing was really watery and not good by the end. My sister got the kid's spaghetti and meatballs and it was fine. I got baked tortellini. Seriously contemplated leaving after tasting it. Sauce was super watery and bland. Imagine Walmart off brand pasta sauce. I asked for cheese pizza instead and it was fine. Keep in mind the restaurant wasn't that busy and there were like five servers there but we never got refills even when we asked and we only saw them when they brought us our food. The pizza is THE BEST Pizza I have ever had! And they are HUGE for the price! One small pepperoni pizza will EASILY feed me for two meals. But I don't know what they do to it but the pizza is just fantastic. The crust to the sauce I'm guessing is homemade and just.... Different but extremely good. Stumbled upon this while traveling. Very nice curb appeal and plenty of parking nice outdoor covered eating area. We had the lunch specials. Can't beat their meatballs and meat sauce with spaghetti. Bella Sera's primary location is closed for remodeling. They moved a couple of block away in Francesca's old location. They have re-done it and it looks nice. I really dislike some of the interactions I've had with the establishment. I've been incorrectly charged for items and I feel like they are always trying to get one over on you. They have argued with my wife multiple times. At one point they gave my order to another customer while my wife was waiting in the lobby after speaking with the person. My request was received very positively and was quickly granted. The salad that came with the meal was good, but on the small side. The bread that was served was warm and very good. There was no dipping sauce offered with the bread. The fettuccini alfredo was plentiful and the sauce was hot and very good. However, the veal lacked flavor and was not as crisp as I would have liked. The meal was served hot and was freshly prepared. I found the meal to be on the expensive side and felt that it was overpriced. However, the friendly atmosphere, attention by the staff and the freshly prepared entree impressed me. Did not get any though. Ordered the shrimp alfredo. There entrees come with rolls and salad. Got my salad with caesar dressing. There caesar dressing is really good. I am very picky smokie my caesar dressings and was delighted with there's. The tools have some but and seasoning on them. I recommened adding there parmesan cheese to the top or inside of the roll. The shrimp alfredo had lots of flavor. They take the time to cook properly and devein the shrimp. Only came with 5 shrimp and didnt think that was enough at first but when you cut up the shrimp, it was almost enough. One or two more pieces would have been better. We have been coming to the lake for over 10 years and have always loved this spot. We ordered to go. Hostess repeated the order and was correct however when my husband got home they forgot part of our order and the restaurant was a 20 minute drive from horseshoe bay. The carbonara was gross. It was similar to a bland Alfredo sauce and not at all carbonara. The rest of the pasta dishes were plain and the mozzarella sticks were undercooked. We put them in the oven to finish. Had such a horrible service experience this time. Wife ordered a dish that she has gotten countless times and all of the olives had pits in them. I ordered extra meatballs (with cheese ravioli I like to have some meat.) We told our server once and someone else a second time, and I never got them. They certainly charged me for them though. When it was time to pay, I got the charge slip back but no credit card. We had to wait 10 minutes longer to get the server's attention to get my card back. My husband and I dined here the first time on a Friday night, and we were seated immediately. It decently busy for a Friday night, there were a lot of couples and families already enjoying their meals inside, as well as several people coming in and out for to go orders. Overall a wonderful ambience and polite staff. We had drinks (which admittedly took a little longer than expected to get to us but they were pretty busy and we weren't in a rush) an appetizer, main course and dessert (to go). Everything was seriously so delicious - the quality of ingredients and how nothing was rushed to get to our table was top notch. We really enjoyed our date night here, and told all of our friends to try this little Italian food restaurant in Leander. What a great way to unwind and enjoy a delicious dinner after a busy week. Picked up a to go from here...as luck would have it right next door to the hotel I am in. Ordered Lasagna which came with Chicken Soup.
