    Fresh bread and dip
    Jocelyn L.

Absolutely the best!!!! I was driving through here and decided to stop in for lunch and it was the best decision I could make. First off, they serve fresh and warm bread with a dipping sauce that is out of this world, if you're a garlic lover you will be in heaven. I would've been happy with just the bread! I ordered a chicken Alfredo pasta which was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and the sauce was perfectly cheesy and it doesn't look too big in the picture but it was a large portion. The server was kind and patient and the restaurant itself was simply decorated and spacious. I left there with a full tummy and a happy heart! I wish I lived closer to it so I could go more often! Highly recommend coming here if you are in the area!

While it was a bit Smokey and hot, it's nothing to stress too much about. The food was amazing and you can get as much bread as you'd like. The waiters are patient and the vibe is really nice. Would totally recommend if you ever feel like Italian food, especially with your friends and family.

This is the place to eat in Llano. Everything was perfect. Bolognese was top notch. Pesto Chicken is pretty special. Had probably the best espresso martini ever. Try the olive oil mixture with your bread.

Let me start with how obsessed I was over there homemade bread! Went here with my family and we loved this place! Each meal was very hearty! The place is kid friendly! Adorable staff and best of all, the manager visits each and every table ensuring that the survive and food meet the perfection standards! The portion sizes are enormous and it tastes incredible. They clearly make their own sauces! The ambiance is set in a traditional Italian style restaurant! They do play music which is your classic Italian! I can't wait to actually visit Italy if this is how delicious the food tastes right here in the US.

Stopped here on the way to Round Rock from West Texas and it was definitely worth the trip. From the outside it looked unassuming and perhaps a little pizza pub-ish with the mirrored windows but wow! When you enter the restaurant it is nothing like that. It's a very charming Italian restaurant. We were greeted immediately by the staff and seated at a nice table. Not too many photos to share because we arrived around 7 pm and were hungry. The bread, fried mozzarella, salads with house Parmesan dressing, my wife's Alfredo, and my Chicken Parmigiana were excellent and ample. We will absolutely return and explore Gino's menu further. If you find yourself in Llano or the surrounding area don't hesitate to stop in. You will not be disappointed by this gem of a restaurant.

Strawberry cheesecake for $7.25 which includes tax.

Always great Italian food. However tonight my dessert that I took home was a little to be desired. $7.25 including tax for a strawberry cheesecake that I was expecting to have some strawberry purée.

Gio's is located downtown on the square. Parking can be challenging certain times of day. The restaurant was busy but staff was attentive and did a great job. Inside offers seating in two areas and it's a seat yourself type place. It was very hot inside. We had sat down in the lower area and it was unbearable so we moved to the upper area but it was still extremely warm and there were flies. Each of us ordered a pasta dish, lasagna, chicken picata, chicken parm, etc. Everyone's food was good. The chicken parm was really bland. Portions were large. We were served fresh hot bread and a salad before our meal which was tasty. Overall good food & service but the hot restaurant and flies drop the overall rating.

Absolutely the best Italian. You wouldn't expect such quality food in a small town like Llano but this is the real deal.

Cold iceberg lettuce, plenty of dressing (no dinky cups needed) with great little croutons. Made in house? It was that delicious, and grated cheese on top (either Gouda or Mozzarella, but definitely mild and delicious. I'm hungry all over again. I ordered a combo with Canneloni, Ziti and Manicotti, cheesy and delicious as all their food. The best thing was the rolls (complimentary) which were better than ever. Soft and yeasty, buttered and beautifully dusty with Parmesan and garlic. I'm now officially starving! I'm sure we got tiramisu. It's terrific. I've never had a bad meal there, but this was exceptional. These folks are wonderful--and we've seen their kids grow up here. Practically the most wonderful thing of all was the absolutely professional, polished, and polite voice taking our phone order...the little girl who grew up into a polished and terrific young woman. We arrived at 6 to a little populated dining room. We were sat next to the window with the sun shining directly in our faces. The did close the curtains fryer I moved my chair to the side of the two top which was nice. We ordered the Insalata Alla Campana which had zero flavor. We asked if the could split and we were told the kitchen doesn't split plates. I would not recommend! We then ordered the roasted garlic and ricotta cheese meatballs and the Tuscan bean soup. If you go order two bowls of the Tuscan bean soup because it is amazing!1 I forgot our drinks. Hubs ordered the Fortunate Verde which was $17 dollars and very much over priced and a glass of the Rose which was mediocre at best. Our total bill was $80 before tip for appetizers and two drinks. However this is one of the worse experiences we had in forever! Where do I begin? The hostess was super rude to us and we just figured she had a bad day. She was also rude to the guests behind us My gf got the shrimp linguine and I got the carne pizza. Pepperoni, sausage and I added mushrooms and asked for no cheese being lactose intolerant The food was good. Pizza was delicious and crust tasted homemade. We also got meatball appetizers and that was good too. We ate kinda early at 5:30pm so we wanted to take the leftovers back to out Air BNB to have for later. I had 3 slices of pizza left and my gf had half her linguine left. We literally told the waitress we wanted both packaged up to go However when I came back from the restroom only the box for the pizza was available. I asked the waitress is her linguine inside the box and she gave a stupid remark "oh I didn't know you wanted the pasta to go." Then to make matters worse she said "I also accidentally dropped a slice of a pizza on the floor so there's only two in the box". Wtf! Seriously!!! When the waitress realized I was getting pretty upset, she stated "well I didn't think you wanted me to take that slice off the floor and putting it in a box" and begin laughing Out bill was a lot and the manager or no one came by to apologize for the mistake, did not offer us anything, or even taking something off our bill. My gf and I were looking forward to eating our food later on tonight, but now we're left with two lousy slices of pizza The food itself was very good, our meatball appetizer was delicious, she stated her linguine pasta was good, and my pizza was actually very good, the food definitely was overpriced, but atmosphere was decent. However, I'm not sure if this is just this one waitress, but also started with the hostess. The entire vibes and experience was terrible. I will never come back here again if anybody ever ask about Fredericksburg or recommendations for restaurants, I would never recommend this place to anybody they need to get better training for their employees because this was total BS. Do better Alla Campagna.

There was about a 45 minute wait for our party of 7, but the hostesses were very attentive and kept us updated on timing without us having to ask which we appreciated. Bread is brought to the table with oil and spices when you're seated. The bread itself seemed like standard grocery store bread and was room temperature, which was a bit underwhelming. The food came out very quickly, which is convenient but it did feel like the dishes were prepared more for speed than detail. Most plates were fairly oily and heavy on the cheese. Prices are reasonable, and the service was efficient, so we were in and out quickly. While it wasn't a bad experience overall, it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us and it's probably not a place we'd return to. That said, I can see how it might appeal to those looking for a quick affordable Italian meal.
