I have been going to Bella Sera for the last 6years. The owner and his wife are wonderful. But the waitress are a waste of life. Tables all dirty. When a waitress shows up to clean it she had a nasty comment "you always sit at a dirty tabl" I told her it was the least dirty of them all. She got the drinks she said she would be right back. 25 minutes she comes back and said she was sorry. She got busy with some other people. This was a Tuesday after lunch. It wasnt very busy , other people who arrived afte us got thier food. I asked another waitress to take our order. We got 2 small salads. After 30 minutes We gave up and left, we won't be back. The waitress stand around and talk with thier customer's that are friends. Meanwhile other customer's are just ignored. I have always tipped generously. The waitress just dont care Its true that when the cats away the mice will play. I wish the owners the best, they deserve better but thier staff is pulling them down. Good luck. Good bye. read more

What a contradictory and crazy evening. Nice building and decor. Yet, it looked like discount Monday at Disney World with too many brats running the show. Especially, one little 3 year old girl that screamed more times than my wife having multiple orgasm's. She even knocked off a decorative cowboy boot off the booth divider shelf and it landed on the other side of the booth into a man's plate of pasta.The owner finally asked them to leave and eat outside. He should have asked them to leave, period! Then she started screaming outside. Yee-Ha!! I was so embarrassed for the 3-4 retired couples around us, however it was almost funny..maybe? It ruined the "dining experience" for all. The mother and father of the child were idiots. Can't blame the little girl as the water head parents. Now here's the weird part, the shrimp & scallops was fantastic, wine too! Service by waiter was "just" OK. But we ate it so fast just to get out of the place because of the chaos around us. Definitely a great "get it to go" alternative until the management changes its course on its clientele and not cater too the Chunky Cheese crowd. read more

We wanted chicken parmesan but the menu did not state it was accompanied with a side of spagetti. I asked our server if it did and she emphatically said "no." I replied "I've never eaten at an Italian restaurant that did not serve chicken parmesan without spagetti on the side. She just looked blank at me - did not offer to check with the chef. Service was hit and miss the entire meal - we ordered something else and went away dissapointed. The side salads are nothing but non-nutritious boring iceberg and a slice of tomato. Went on a Saturday night, had reservations but they looked lost as to who or what a reservation was. The blonde "hostess" was clueless until she asked if we wanted wine. Ew. Ate a meal here last night after a road trip to new Mexico. We walked in to typical Italian music, sat at a table with no silverware. Ordered garlic rolls, they were cold..not good at all. I ordered pasta with meat sauce. The pasta they use, angel hair, was not the right thickness for the meat sauce they used. Oh almost forgot. A gnat was in my water. I had been there prior to the remodel and was not impressed but decided to give them a second chance after the remodel and I'm glad I did. I have been there a couple times over the last few weeks and have nothing but good things to say. Their food is delicious, made for excellent left overs as well. I had a lovely German Riesling the last time I was there, a perfect balance between sweet and dry. Staff is quite attentive. The rolls are delicious!! read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Marble Falls! Everything I've ordered there is good, and the plates can get a little pricey, but you get a ton of food for your money. I can usually get two meals out of one plate. Their bread rolls are warm and delicious and the garlic dipping oil is a must for us every time we go. The service ranges from great to just okay, depending on who you get, (which is why they only get 4 stars) but all in all, this is a great restaurant. read more

I love this place, I've never had a bad experience here after many years of going. My favorite of their menu is their Philly Cheesesteak Sub, but everything else is amazing as well. It had a bit of an incident a little while ago with a fire, and I was saddened because I thought it was gone forever. However shortly after they rebuild a brand new building, and are back into gear. The entire restaurant is beautifully decorated, and maintained by excellent staff. If you're in Marble Falls, Texas this is one of the places you must stop at. read more

Bella Sera. The name means "beautiful night", which might explain why it was kind of quiet at noon. Never mind, I was served very quickly by three waiters. I had the linguini lunch special, a generous veggie meal with lots of olive oil. Fast on service, slow on the bill. read more

I love this place! The food is always exceptional and the wait staff is attentive. I like the garlic pasta lunch special, it is incredible. Best real Italian food in the area. The owners and staff are friendly and the service is great. If you do not see your favorite selection on the menu, the chef will create it to your liking. Our first time and the new building is very nice. The food wasn't great, but it was good and the service was also.PROBLEM: I ordered a Chianti wine and was served a less expensive one. When I realized it, I said we would drink that one but didn't want to be charged for the more expensive one. That was the result, but not without a lecture from the manager who said I should not have approved the incorrect wine. He said,just this one time, he would not charge me for a wine that I did not receive! When I asked him if I had heard him right, he assured me that I had. I have never had an experience like that in any restaurant anywhere in the world!! I don't know if they are trying to cheat their customers or they are just hard-headed, but I can't imagine doing business with them ever again. read more

Poor service right from the get go. Had to ask for some bread and olive oil. They crowded the salad and appetizers together. The mussels marinara was good. The shrimp scampi was terrible. My entre, veal marsala, was absolutely horrid. My best guess is that it was frozen veal patties. The marsala sauce was thin, and salty. Parmesan cheese out of a can, not freshly grated. Most of the meal was spent with the salad and appetizer plates still on the table long after finished. I will never return here. read more

Tried when first opened, wasn't good. Decided to try since remodeled, several years later and the glowing reviews. Not a lot of people on a Monday night. Our waitress was great. The bread had a hard crust with no innards, was hollow. Couldn't open with a knife. Hubby ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. Came with angel hair and hardly any meat in sauce (under 1/2 cup). The salad was shredded iceberg, one small slice of tomato. The caesar dressing was the only thing that was flavorful this night but, nothing to write home to Mama. I ordered the fettucine carbonara. The mushrooms tasted like they came from a can and ham was lunch meat with no flavor. The menu claims they make their pasta in house. No way, it was definitely dehydrated pasta. The tiramisu had no flavor and was store bought. Ordered spaghetti with meatballs for daughter. Came with angel hair and two small meatballs (meatball fit a 1/4 cup). Definitely too expensive for this slop. Got up after a few bites, taking tiramisu home. Won't give a third chance. This was so bad, frozen meals of fettucine and spaghetti are way better. read more

Ok so we usually go to francescos but we decided to try Bella sera again after about a year of not being there. We used to be faithful to bella sera before francescos. We like both places for food but love Francesco's due to bringing our own wine and the owners we love so much there. Anyway, holy smokes, the waitress who sat us tonight was so mean and in a bad mood that we felt like we were an imposition. We said why are you so mad and should we leave? She shot us a "go to hell" look and said "I'm "pissed off" in her words and gave us another dirty look and then said "what do you want?" we were so taken aback that my husband said screw this lets leave. I asked for the manager and the owner came to our table. Long story short he said she was going through some personal problems but shouldn't have acted that way. He then made a lot of excuses about her and asked if we wanted to order food. We decided to stay and thought maybe he would comp an appetizer or wine or something due to the extremely rude treatment, because in over 50 years we have never been treated so rudely by a waitress and the owner was acting mortified. we should have left but stayed thinking maybe they will make this Right. No, no such luck. We got another waiter who was good, good food, but never an apology by the RUDE waitress or anything comped though we ordered appetizers, food, wine and more. We couldn't believe it even though we brought it to the owners attention. The treatment from the waitress was unbelievably RUDE! We live in the area and dine out 2 or 3 times a week and would have recommended this place to others and would have returned if they had made this right. Even one glass of wine or a free appetizer or desert because we were literally about to walk out after this rude waitress and then talking to the owner. They have lost our business and will not recommend to friends. Sad because if they had made this right that would have been a different outcome.having been a business owner and manager for over 30 years, this guy screwed up not making the customer feel like they were taken care of after a bad employee experience. She was the worst encounter with a waitress in our entire lives and we told him that. Being from another country is no excuse for not taking care of your customers.
