I went to Bella because it was recommended to me by my sister and some family friends. I was very excited to try Bella because my sister came back with a fantastic haircut from Kimberly. I was a little nervous about getting my hair cut. I had been growing it out for a year following a rather disastrous, Tim Armstrong-y, red mohawk that turned into a mullet in the humidity. I had finally gotten my hair back within the range of normalcy and didn't want to do anything too drastic. Morgan is the absolute best stylist I have ever had. She listened patiently to all of my concerns (My hair gets frizzy if it's too short, I don't have any time to spend styling it, etc.) Then, she showed me several different products that worked really well on my hair. The cut itself was great. Morgan cut it in such a way that it wasn't too heavy, and then she showed me step-by-step how to style it after I told her that I have no idea what to do with my hair. I have seen different stylists each time I have visited Bella because I like trying different people. They are always professional and the color comes out just gorgeous. I left my last salon because there was an extra charge for a blow out following my hair coloring session-- that's insane. I decided to try Bella. The space is gorgeous, newly remodeled, and the staff is lovely. You are offered complimentary wine or sparkling water when you arrived and I've yet to wait, they always seem to be running on time. If I'm there during lunch they run and grab me a snack (I pay for it) from the cafe so I can eat while my color is processing. Being a MT myself for over 20 years I feel like I have the ability to say this with ease. Tracy at Bella is amazing! There are good massage therapists who have been trained to make you feel good then there is Tracy. She is one of those intuitive MT that are very rare. She tracked down where all my neck pain was originating from immediately. From there she was able to figure out just the right pressure and slowly build on that as things started to unravel. And for you men out there like myself that like an MT with strong hands. No need to worry with Tracey. She has all the technique and strength to work out the toughest of knots. As for the rest of the Salon I can give the same big thumbs up. I am always reminded of my appointments the day before. I am always greeted with a warm smile and courtesy. I can't even tell you how often I get stopped in businesses or on the street to get told how amazing my hair is. I have never experienced that before Stephany. She does the absolute best color ever ever ever! For the longest time I was doing my hair a solid dark color close go my natural, but one day she convinced me to be creative and from that point on I have had the funnest hair colors! My hair is healthy and strong also because she helped me pick products that would protect and strengthen my hair from the bleaching. She's creative but she's also cautious. Many times I have said I wanted to do something totally off the wall and she'd explain why it's not the best idea, but offer alternatives in order to save my locks from too much stress. I first came to Bella salon 2 years ago when I moved to Austin after another salon turned my hair orange and went out of business on the day I had my "correction appointment" set. After arriving at locked doors I put a frantic call in to Bella, upon referral from a friend with beautiful blonde hair. The girl at the desk mentioned Tiffany being an exceptionally good colorist so I jumped on her last appointment that day. I can't really attest to anything else that happens at Bella other than the two things I know: Reception is nice and quick to greet me, and Jennifer is amazing. Jennifer has been cutting my hair for...five years now. I have a lot of hair. It's not straight, nor is it curly. It does it's own weird non-wave/half-curl thing in parts, stays flat in parts, and generally misbehaves. Previous attemps at getting my hair cut resulted in someone cutting one straight line across the bottom of my hair (twelve snips, you're all done, give me money) or in one particularly horrid case - taking a razor blade to the sides and created Frizzilla. I want it short, she makes it short and it's cute. I want to grow it out, it grows out, and keeps shape and style. I get engaged and need to not get it cut for five months? The last cut she gave me (and she didn't know I wouldn't get it cut for five months) lasts for five months. I had people who hadn't seen me in longer see my hair and five months and say "your hair looks super cute - did you just get it cut?" Every single time. Every eight weeks. For five years. And that's not all! Wedding hair? She is a magician. Like I said - I know nothing about other professionals at Bella and their abilities or inabilities. Ask for Jennifer. read more

Well my first review after looking forward to what could of been an appointment. My wife finally got her nails and hair done here after continuously looking at Bella's website for several weeks debating if we should we try. The only reason why we were planning on going back to Bella's Salon was because of the great experience the young man at the front provided. This guy knew how to make you feel welcomed even if you were just sitting and waiting on someone. On our first visit I remember walking in the salon after a hot afternoon to try and find my wife and right away this respectable young man approached me and offered me a drink to help cool me down, very nice. I took the offer of a beer and was able to relax while watching my wife get pampered. He continuously checked up on us to make sure we were doing great, I could tell he's been in the industry for a while and I appreciated his well structure mannerism. We were planning on reviewing the salon based on the experience he provided but when I backtracked on the website to try and find his name I noticed it was removed since the first time I check out the website. That being said We rated 4 stars for the salon because one thing my wife and I pay sharp attention to is a revolving door with salons (we pay attention to salon websites) Coming from a clients point of view, we give you valuable Credit Card information to be put on file, we sometime even create a personal bond with some and having a revolving door only makes it harder for clients to trust a salon. We understand things happen and people leave however we didn't get that from this guy or else he wouldn't perform so well. Unfortunately we will not be returning because he's no longer there and the experience he provided during our service was like no other. I would also like to add that the image of a professional receptionist such as him, can go a long way for a business and could also be the reason why some of us return. When you have a strong receptionist like him, it only makes your team look that much professional and that much stronger, and clients like that security. Although I know I should rate the service of the salon and in this case I personally feel he was part of our amazing salon experience at Bella which is why We doc a star. Other then that it's a nice quick one stop shop. So I say to him, Thank you sir for the amazing experience wherever you may be, these stars do not reflect your personal guest service, that is a 5 star service rate. A few years ago I requested a stylist that was quick with highlights since I have a TON of fine blond hair that can be overwhelming to work with. I scheduled an appointment with Katie Lauer and haven't looked back since. I even followed her to Bella because I became slightly panicked at the thought of someone else working on my hair. I am always impressed with Katie's endless knowledge, especially on filling color (Umm hello, blonde that doesn't want to be a redhead here!). She also continues to educate herself on new products and procedures and you can tell that this is definitely the career she was meant to have. Katie always makes sure that you know what you're getting yourself into before she does a cut/color, etc. She recently used the balayage technique on me and showed me plenty of pictures beforehand so I knew it would be a different look than the fresh highlights that I was used to. Not only is Katie a talented, knowledgeable stylist, but she has a great personality and I always look forward to our appointments.
